    Against the Grain is the Farm Aid podcast, designed to bring the magic of Farm Aid’s annual festival to listeners year-round. Hear from farmers and artists, advocates and food experts, activists and policymakers - all of whom are working towards building a more just and equitable farm and food system.
    We’ll take you all over the country, from Farm Aid’s backstage and HOMEGROWN Village, to rural and urban farms and farmers’ markets. There, you’ll meet the extraordinary members of the Farm Aid universe, fighting the industrial agriculture giants, holding the government accountable, and shifting the culture towards a food and farm model that is better for farmers, our soil, water and climate and for all of us.
    =====================
    Farm Aid’s mission is to build a vibrant, family farm-centered system of agriculture in America. Farm Aid artists and board members Willie Nelson, Neil Young, John Mellencamp, Dave Matthews and Margo Price host an annual festival to raise funds to support Farm Aid’s work with family farmers and to inspire people to choose family farm food. For more than 35 years, Farm Aid, with the support of the artists who contribute their performances each year, has raised more than $70 million to support programs that help farmers thrive, expand the reach of the Good Food Movement, take action to change the dominant system of industrial agriculture and promote food from family farms.

    Truth to power? Joe Rogan was speaking truth to power during the pandemic on Spotify and Neil Young removed his music from that platform because he disagreed with Joe. Me and a lot of other people lost respect for Neil that day 😢

      I am for free speech and a free exchange of ideas, always. Therefore, I think that Neil was wrong to call for Rogan's removal from Spotify. But I didn't lose respect for Neil, rather, I lost respect for Rogan.
      For the most part, Rogan speaks from ignorance and displays one dimensional childish thinking. His position on COVID policy was primarily based upon his disappointment that he couldn't get together with his pals and go out to comedy clubs and UFC fights. He rarely thought of people who were not healthy and ravaged by COVID. He expected everyone to face COVID like him - a relatively young person who is healthy and in good shape.
      He refused to walk a mile in someone else's shoes and I think the result was a selfish perspective that was critical of obvious benefits such as vaccination.

      @@57md81 I feel like your opinion on why Rogan spoke out against COVID is irrelevant since you don’t actually know what his reasons actually were. I’m just pointing out the fact that Neil spoke truth to power against government control over agriculture at one time and Rogan spoke truth to power against government control over our medical care.
