Excellent video Puddin :) showed pervious video on this truck to my uncle John he told me should nickname it Smurf Seaside Edition and he like that truck had West Coast mirrors on doors plus tow package for trailer in box plus wire up for power lights plug ! He told me those truck in Datsun, Nissan, Mazda, Toyota in 1/4 to 1/2 tons sure wild did for his farming haul square bales in Hay plus Straw just as any of any full size ones 1/2 , 1 , 3/4 tons in General Motors of Chevrolet, GMC , Ford , Dodge do in gas or deisel plus 2 or 4×4 do ! He said got swat those suspensions to pull them ! Plus my uncle said those truck powertrain are super last forever and keep tune up and pull more than you expect! He drove these truck since 1976 and 1994 Toyota T100 he has hit millions of miles still ticking away also body good condition too!
These little trucks are definitely a lot tougher then what people realize. I think your uncle John is right!

A light throttle needs less spark to fire the plug. I think I remember the Old 1977 Datsun site had the gap at .041" instead of the standard .035"

That was the best description of how a break system works I have ever seen.
My Dad had a 74 Datsun pickup and he pulled a 17' 5th wheel travel trailer. We camped in that with 5 kids. Drove it from CA to CO several times. It was a blast because with an open intercom people can ride in a 5th wheel camper at least in CA

The gooseneck hitch setup was probably used maybe for a small camper for small car shows ? So like it was a show truck with a show camper ...I’ve seen it down a lot he’ll the VW beetle had an option for a goose neck but it was on the roof to haul a camper ...CZcams it it’s crazy !!

That's a cool oil cap. Nissan Motor Corp. had it's own brand of oil. "Elephant" branded oil. You could probably get 60-75 bucks for it on eBay. There's a 240 enthusiast out there dying to have one on their Z. Google "Nissan Elephant Oil" and you'll see lots of caps, oil cans, and logos.

I have an 86S 10 that I got for $200 that I got running great! The guy before me though had done the exact same thing! He had a gooseneck ball in the bed, electric brakes under the dash, and a wiring harness for a gooseneck trailer in the bed just like that Datson I couldn’t believe it when you showed that! He was hauling horses with it.

Got a free 710 sedan.back in 89. Owner said just come and get it out of the driveway. It had set for a year or so. Replaced one tire, put in a fresh set of points, plugs and drove it 150 miles home. Same engine that you have there with a 4 speed stick. Lasted me for 2 years. Engine was so worn out you could set the points just pulling on the belt. Wish I still had it.

Hey Puddin, don't think you have to gush to much at the gifts sent to you.
We're not all doing the same or even understand money similarly. Good on the ones that have enough to share and do so. Liked the replay style edit in of the exhaust angle on the start up, hope you make that a standard with "will she runs?" You're putting together great content. I had never seen smoke blow out that many different colors, than clear up. Purrs like a wet kitten brought in from the rain.
That exhaust shot was my favorite.
I was given a 1992 Nissan (Datsun) D21 pickup. I revived it from a 20 year slumber following a slight wreck back in 1996. 52,000 original miles. Had to replace entire fuel system. Thank you ethanol. Super little truck. Nobody makes a simple little pickup any more. You might want to consider adding one to your fleet. 27 mpg parts chaser.
