  • Polly Klaas: Kidnapped: On October 1, 1993, a stranger abducted 12-year-old Polly Klaas during a slumber party in her home. The FBI was immediately called in. Agents collected fibers from her bedroom and discovered, through the use of laser light sources, a palm print on Polly’s bed, previously invisible to the naked eye. After a massive two-month investigation, the FBI arrested Richard Allen Davis. Palm prints and fibers matched and Davis was convicted of abduction and murder.
Above the Law: California Highway Patrolman George Gwaltney discovered the body of 23-year-old Robin Bishop near her car on a remote desert highway. Although he proclaimed his innocence and was acquitted in two state trials, the FBI was able to convince a third jury that Gwaltney was the killer. With only a gun frame to work with, FBI lab experts were able to link tool marks found on the frame with tools found in Gwaltney’s home. Through the match of hairs and fibers and a unique test for detecting and identifying sperm, Gwaltney was placed at the scene of the crime.
Human Prey: Thomas Dillon killed five outdoorsmen at random over a period of three years in rural southern Ohio. After a tip led the FBI to the murder weapon, ballistic testing made a match. A mother’s letter published in the newspaper addressing the murderer of her son prompted the killer to respond. A psychological profile was drawn up, leading to another tip. Following a dramatic air and ground surveillance by the FBI, Thomas Dillon was arrested and ultimately convicted.
The FBI Files is an American docudrama that takes a look behind the scenes of the Federal Bureau of Investigation's crime laboratory.
Real FBI cases are recounted through reenactments and interviews, due to the sensitive nature of the show, viewer discretion is advised.

For me, this is one of the greatest crime shows in the history of television. The writing, the narration, the reenactments, the production, music, everything was done so wonderfully. Outstanding series!

Seen the case Polly Klaas advertised all over every crime show on YT but imagine having the S.W.A.T. team running in to your home and upending evething looking for the girl..only be told it was a hoax by one of the daughters. I would be furious and emotional, I am already and I never even wanted to watch it in the first place.
And then the parents of Polly it would've gutted them down to the core... unbelievably stupid and incredibly cruel. 😳🥺

Is that not a a thing in the US? Like I’ve always been told by my parents; „Dont ever get in a strangers car“. or „If you don‘t expect someone / dont know a person, NEVER open the door“. I feel like those kidnappings could’ve maybe been somewhat prevented. And I dont get why yall dont have doors with a peephole (?) that u can see through to see whos outside.

As I understood he went through the window not through the doors. But in general I also don't understand those American doors and windows they show here. In my country we have hard metal doors with a peephole and at least two locks if not three and bolts often don't go just in the concrete wall to the side but also above and below the doors as well and they go deep. And we don't even have a high crime rate and barely anyone here has a gun but despite that we still have proper doors. And windows we have thick that you can't break easily and that can be tilted for ventilation, cat might try and go through that opening but human can't get inside through it and he can't open the window from outside even if he gets his hand inside. But American doors seem like from thick paper or thin wood that anyone can break through and windows are no better.

You shouldn't say that since you don't know her health situation. After all those are legal prescription drugs and there are people who really need them. You can't just suffer in pain all your life thinking what if someone breaks in my house today. People should be able to use medicine they need for valid cases.

People are so ignorant, you see someone who you don't know and he's looking suspicious but you don't see it fit to either alert the police or call the neighbors to see if they are aware of what is going on 😭 the little girls could've never went through what they went through if one of the people just decided to alert someone

😂 I love how the FBI inserted itself in the case of the cop not only a rapist but also a murderer, they were going to lend the locals a hand to intervene and finally get the job done, everytime I hear the narrator say it I find it remiss of an older brother helping out his younger one to fix a screw-ups...
Eventhough the locals had done a very good job things such as perception is far more threatening coming from the FBI...if they accuse someone they must be right..and that is the sole reason they got the conviction, not because the locals did it wrong they were just not intimidating as the FBI. Eventually it atleast got the job done.

The federal civil rights trail can be abused so badly I don’t agree at all. Sorry I know it seems like a great thing they did. But just imagine how it can be misused by THIS federal government.

The CHP Gwaltney case, as locals couldn't believe that this guy could kill another innocent person. However, with a non-local investigation, the FBI proved that Gwaltney was indeed guilty. The gun store clerk outright lied to the police; thus, helped get Gwaltney off. In this case, Gwaltney was never found innocent in those previous two trials, just two hung juries.

@@davemeckfessel1296 maybe they can start trails in other countries if the civil rights abuse doesn’t work by the feds. Look that guy was a P.O.S. Unfortunately if the system fails then the person gets away. Just imagine the truly innocent person in which the government doesn’t stop until it gets what it wants.

Imagine you are defending yourself and you kill someone in self defense. The news tells half truths and spins the story regardless of the evidence. You go to court and get a not guilty verdict. But the people and the “news” aren’t satisfied. Then the politicians tell the feds to look into it and they still can find anything. But that’s not enough they need something to punish you. Then they decide to charge you with a civil rights violation. No jury just you vs a political appointed judge that’s determined to find you guilty. Now I ask you what do you think about this.
