    Good stuff, thanks. Something to add onto backing up the config file and how I do it: enable file extensions, highlight the file then ctrl-c ctrl-v and a copy will be created in the same folder. Rename the extension to .bk or .bkp or whatever and you're done. Then restoring is as easy as deleting the edited version and renaming the original.

      In an action game both of them are horrible to keep enabled,but at least motion blur can be good in some slow peaced games to give a more realistic movement. Film grain,though,it's useless nowdays, who even wants to add a grain filter thinking that it would improve the realism of a game lol

    (Mediocrotes) Thanks for the video bro. My PC if I had to guess is about 12 years old, it's not great. Thanks to the fact that I enjoy TFD, I am in the process of looking for an upgrade that will last me for several years. Until then, I get to deal with what I have. The only piece I was missing was the engine file edit, so thank you. That being said I am starting to think my PC is beyond saving lol. I have come to terms with the fact that I will not be playing a visually stunning game on my setup for a while, but what kills me is the load times I (and my friends) have to endure. To put it into perspective, my very first hanged man run was me loading the entire fight. Like I loaded into loot, the fight was over. Not sure if there is anything I can really do outside of the HD cleanup and defrag I have already done, but I felt so bad being the guy that was always catching up more than contributing.

    04:31 I have a 4060. Yeah, the regular 8GB one, Ultra on Textures, is doable if you play on anything below 90 fps. I have set Shaders on High and Ultra before, but take note this game does not dump or unload the unused shaders, or it just over-compiles them. I've done the same mission 20 times in a row with the same setting, and each time I load back into albion, doesn't matter if there's less or more players, my GPU memory usage always goes from 4.5 to 4.8 to 5.2 until it's eating up 7.8 GB in my gpu memory even though I already went in the Laboratory and there's nothing else in it but me.
    This issue needs a fix, doesn't matter how low you set your settings, it keeps happening during long play sessions.

Doesnt matter what settings i play on, within like 7-10 secs my game with hard freeze for like 2 seconds and its constantly doing it, but ill have like 60-80 fps while playing . Can I ask you, do you have 16gb ram on a single stick or 2? Btw it happens to everyone, but in my case it happens for a nano second and happens usually once every 2 to 3 hours.

    most of the settings have very little visual impact but greatly reduce performance. this has been an issue on UE5 titles for a while. turn everything low, theres almost no difference

    • @darkauscus
      @darkauscus  Před měsícem +3

      @@doziergames But they have performance impact so that's actually a good thing that visually even on low the game still looks better than most games on High. Still I advise starting from recommended settings and not just putting everything on LOW cause of CPU bottlenecking.

    I am getting 80-130fps at 3440x1440 on all Ultra/UltraRaytracing/RayReconstruction/DLSSQuality/Frame-G with a 4080. This may seem like a stupid question, but I know in some games there is no visual difference between High and Ultra. Does lowering from Ultra lower visual quality?
    I'm a graphics slut and already super satisfied with my performance at Ultra/RaytracingUltra/RayReconstruction, but if I can get more fps at a literal zero visual quality loss then I'm okay with lowering from UItra, but I'm definitely not turning off Raytracing and Ray Reconstruction. Game looks too good to turn them off.

    • @darkauscus
      @darkauscus  Před měsícem +1

      @@BombadJedi There is no real visual difference between Ultra and High in this game or any game really, like I mention in the video. It's even more true for Unreal Engine 5 games even on medium you would have a hard time telling the difference.

    Why this fov still feels too low?

  • @franks_9254
    @franks_9254 Před měsícem

    For me, the minimum FPS for shooter games is 90 minimum, but ideally better than 120 on 1440p. 60 FPS is no longer the minimum standard, if you ask me. The snappiness on higher FPS makes it so much more enjoyable. Edit: This only applies, if you don't use frame generation, because frame generation increases input latency, regardless of Nvida or AMD.
