    First time viewer of your channel. You're so fun!
    I had my first ever wheelchair assessment/OT appointment yesterday and am test driving a smart drive and another power assist device ("companion" like a mini batec, but doesn't look as fun/usful). Being able to keep my hands and arms down is a must (dysautonomia/migraine trigger to have them up.).
    Thanks for this video.

    My daughter is getting hers soon when she demo the smart drive she took right to it I can't wait for her to be able to run off and play and go for walks ect where we live it's hills both ways everywhere so going out in her chair she has to be pushed this will give her independence

      @agashasnm  Před 3 lety +1

    Thank you for this information got one for a family member and he's apprehensive of this over his current scooter, so thank you for a clear cut explanation and seeing you in motion.

    Had one about ten yrs ago They are great Except for the high wear on the rubber contact rollers They are a poor design and thought they would of been changed by now Anyway stick with it as Compare to those Smoove one They are a lot better

    i have the smartdrive as well but i have the newest watch which is so much better.. you should check it out.
    listening to the knocking on ur smartdrive it sounds like you need to adjust the latch. if you have the allen wrench and the other little thing they sent with it,you can adjust it yourself..

    Good Morning from Boston MA. I am brand new to your channel, thank you for your tutorial regarding your smart drive. I am in the beginning phase of search phase of a wheelchair power source.
    Also, I picked up a mild accent in your voice.
    Are you Kenyan ? My fiancé is from Nairobi
    So, Habari za Asabuhi

    How do you deal with Canadian winters(Snow & Ice)? I have a friend who got his today and could not deal with the snow.

    • @agashasnm
      @agashasnm  Před 2 lety +1

      Yes, unfortunately moving around in the snow has not been easy for me either so I have to avoid it :/

    have you had it serviced before and did you have any trouble ? I have the Smoov One by Alber and the handle snapped off , they refusing to repair or send me another one , basically telling me I have to pay 5k for a new one. Im mad I didn't get the smart drive someone told me permobil is awesome with warranty repair , Alber is terrible

    • @agashasnm
      @agashasnm  Před 3 lety +1

      Hey! Oh no that is terrible. Yes I’ve had mine for 3 years and recently having trouble with my battery pack. Hope you able to get something that works well for you!

    Can you stop quick by the wheels then tapping your wrist

    • @agashasnm
      @agashasnm  Před 3 lety

      Hi, yes you can but you’d have to tap it real quick otherwise it will keep pushing you forward. So I would suggest tapping your wrist then stopping.

    Looks like your chair was pulling to the left. If it's still doing that you probably want to get that fixed.
