It gives me hope for my relationships with my friends and family as I become more observant, especially because food is such an important part of those relationships. Yasher koach 💛 Also, Raizel, you are so fashionable!! Such chizuk for staying tznius :)

I'm an Eastern Orthodox Christian (Greek) and this brings to mind the common anecdote of how we're often asked if we're Jewish because we share the word "Orthodox." 😁 In your many travels have you met many Orthodox Christians?

I was very interested in your hosts' reference to "Zero Wasting" or avoiding plastic. In addition to keeping Kosher, I tried to do the same for several years, refilling my container, trying as much as possible to avoid disposable items and containers. It is really hard, and practically impossible to do both Kosher and Zero Waste at the same time. I often had to chose between the two, and of course Kosher had to win out every time. It made me really sad to not just be able to do both. Now we have moved to a new city, and while it is a Kosher paradise, unfortunately, I have not found non packaging stores, where I used to shop. That really makes me sad. There are still things I do, such as keeping disposable items to a minimum, and using reusable bags and produce bags when grocery shopping.
    (I also love shampoo bars.)

The proper grate for fish on a barbecue is a triangular grill bar, not a round one, the least amount of metal is near the fish flesh, and it doesn't stick as much with that type of grate.

Shalim, shalom, mishpakha yehudi haze veChaverim shelahem be haVideo, (to That Jewish Family and their friends in the video),
Thank you for your entertaining video. I am interested in the Jewish culture and Israel. And your way of explaining and dealing with the fact that you need kosher food and utensils is smart and practical. If you don't expect that the household youare going to visit has a kosher knife, just buy one. Knives are not a huge, extensive and expensive household appliance like a dishwasher, but cutlery. ;)
I am a translator for the German, English and Spanish language. I have visited some countries in Europe. Some as a tourist, some in a professionell training.
The country I have visited the most and love since I was a pretty young teenager is Israel.
If you asked me where I would choose to stay forever, I would probably chose Israel. The people are so friendly, and they are really helpful! There is plenty of touristic sites and museums. You can go to the beach, or to the desert (of sand OR of stone), or to the Red Sea Ressort city of Eilat in the very South of Israel or to other cities or villages. There is the very special city of Yerushalayim (Jerusalem). The city I would avoid is Tel Aviv since it has become very expensive and American in my eyes. There are plenty of things to do in Israel. Is it too hot or you just need to spend a few hours inside? Israel has the most museums per capita.
As a tourist, I can say: Those tourists who are bored in Israel need to hold themselves at fold for it. That is my experience.
I hope you can settle down in the near future. Shalom!

I was on a walking tour of Krakow in 2017. We were taken to a place that was described as a Jewish community centre. Apparently, there are many Jewish people in Poland who have rediscovered their Jewish roots. From hiding during ww2, through communism, many were unaware that they had Jewish roots. I've taken dna tests and all sat 0% Jewish. As a Greek Orthodox Christian I wasn't expecting it, but I was kind of disappointed 😉🤣

Be careful, respectful and curious are better words, when preparing food or eating with orthodox or Hasidic Jews. My brothers family is reformed but, his eldest son and his family are Hasid. Just be careful and ask question about foods being placed on certain surfaces and utensils touching certain foods that have touched things previously. Don't be hard on yourself if you accidentally make a little extra work for a friend or family member because of a mistake that is illegal to them. Remember these folks delight in keeping many commands and it's their worship and adoring God as they live daily. Just ask before you do things or wait until you're given instruction.

    Gospel of the holy twelve:
I am come to end the sacrifices and feasts of blood, and if ye cease not offering and eating of flesh and blood, the wrath of God shall not cease from you, even as it came to your fathers in the wilderness, who lusted for flesh, and they eat to their content, and were filled with rottenness, and the plague consumed them.
For they, making a god of their belly, sacrificed unto their god the innocent creatures of the earth, in place of the carnal nature within themselves.
And eating of their flesh and drinking of their blood to their own destruction, corrupted their bodies and shortened their days, even as the Gentiles who knew not the truth, or who knowing it, have changed it into a lie.
But there shall arise after you, men of perverse minds who shall through ignorance or through craft, suppress many things which I have spoken unto you, and lay to me things which I never taught, sowing tares among the good wheat which I have given you to sow in the world.
    Jeremiah 7:22-26
22 When I brought your ancestors out of Egypt, I did not tell them anything about burnt offerings and sacrifices. 23 But I did tell them this, ‘Obey me, and I will be your God, and you will be my people. Live the way I told you to live so that things will go well for you.’ 24 But they didn’t obey me or pay attention to me. They followed their own plans and their stubborn, evil ways. They went backward and not forward. 25 From the time that your ancestors left Egypt until now, I have sent all my servants the prophets to you again and again. 26 But you didn’t obey me or pay attention to me. You became impossible to deal with, and you were worse than your ancestors.
    Matthew 5:16-18
16 Let your light so shine before men, that they may see your good works, and glorify your Father which is in heaven.
17 Think not that I am come to destroy the law, or the prophets: I am not come to destroy, but to fulfil.
18 For verily I say unto you, Till heaven and earth pass, one jot or one tittle shall in no wise pass from the law, till all be fulfilled.
    Revelation 14:12
This calls for patient endurance on the part of the people of God who keep his commands and remain faithful to Jesus.
    Isaiah 58:13-14
“If you keep your feet from breaking the Sabbath and from doing as you please on my holy day, if you call the Sabbath a delight and the LORD’s holy day honorable, and if you honor it by not going your own way and not doing as you please or speaking idle words, then you will find your joy in the LORD, and I will cause you to ride in triumph on the heights of the land and to feast on the inheritance of your father Jacob.” The mouth of the LORD has spoken.
    Jeremiah 12:16-17
16 And it shall come to pass, if they will diligently learn the ways of my people, to swear by my name, ‘As the Lord lives,’ even as they taught my people to swear by Baal, then they shall be built up in the midst of my people. 17 But if any nation will not listen, then I will utterly pluck it up and destroy it, declares the Lord."
    Isaiah 1:11
“What makes you think I want all your sacrifices?” says the LORD. “I am sick of your burnt offerings of rams and the fat of fattened cattle. I get no pleasure from the blood of bulls and lambs and goats."
    1 Samuel 15:22
“Does the Lord delight in burnt offerings and sacrifices
as much as in obeying the Lord?
To obey is better than sacrifice,

BY GOD HASHEM'S GRACE I TRY MY BEST TO FOLLOW THE LAW AND EAT KOSHER
BECAUSE GOD YESHUA-HA-MESHIACH SAID “Do not think that I have come to abolish the Law or the Prophets; I have not come to abolish them but to fulfill them. For truly I tell you, until heaven and earth disappear, not the smallest letter, not the least stroke of a pen, will by any means disappear from the Law until everything is accomplished. Therefore anyone who sets aside one of the least of these commands and teaches others accordingly will be called least in the kingdom of heaven, but whoever practices and teaches these commands will be called great in the kingdom of heaven. For I tell you that unless your righteousness surpasses that of the Pharisees and the teachers of the law, you will certainly not enter the kingdom of heaven.

the religion built in that Jewish guy's name keeps people ignorant of hebrew and was developed from Roman/Greek philosophical interpretation of Torah which goes against the Torah which "yeshua" said to keep. He said your religion takes you away from our Father by developing doctrines which is human nature to fall for, including what the Romans did to form the Christian religion, whether catholic, or evangelical/jews4esus. So by following the words of Paul, who was a Roman, and said to say whatever needed to convert, christians/jews4j/messianic jews go against even their "lords" words, who said to pray to our Father in heaven, not one of His creations, even him; no man can die for another man's sins; Torah is close to us, not in heaven and can be kept as much as we are able; Hashem is gracious and will forgive us anytime we turn to Him willingly to return to Him as a Jew or another nation and keep Torah appropriate for Jew or Gentile. The behavior and personal connection is the focus of Torah, not christian or any doctrine, which is religion, not relationship. I can say this because I used to be a "born again" jew4jesus/messianic who got caught by them when vulnerable, which is how the Roman leaders rescued a crumbling empire and used christian/pagan emotional blackmail to manipulate the people be submissive to their abusive power, including threat of pagan hell which my former friends say I am destined for!😂🤪... The jews4j I was close to, including Helen Shapiro, could not answer my questions about "brit hadashah" inconsistencies, including why the christian view of the Jewish Temple sacrifices was from pagan temple practices and so fearing no salvation from the angry gods if we dont give a blood sacrifice. Christians/Jews4jesus etc are doing the very thing jesus warned about how religious leaders can abuse their people, which is an observation of human nature, not Torah observance.
