  • A lot of you guys have been asking question about how I animate character so I thought to put together a serie of 5/6 tutorials to show my workflow. There are so many things to say that I am really not sure these tutorial will be exhaustive, but I hope you will find them useful to develop your own process.

      For those who look for it, I've dowloaded the new "Move Anchor Point" plug-in here:

      +Chris Campbell Unfortunately I am not very fluent in English, that's why I prefer to upload simple screencast more than a complete tutorial.
      Anyway, as you can see yourself, this animation is based on very simple actions (I just play around with position, rotation and scale), so I hope it is clear enough.
      If you have any question just let me know

    Hey Emanuele, why do you slide the work area bar at the top of the layers from 0:00f to have it start at 16f?

    Really nice your sequence of these tutorials. Still I'm trying to figure out what plug-in are you using? It's clear it's third party plug-in. Could you share us the plug-in names you're using?

    • @leokastor
      @leokastor Před 8 lety

      Rubberhose most likely

      I made these tutorials to show my "plug-in-less" technique cause I was tired of answering "I don't use any" to the people who keep on asking "what plug-in do you use" on my Instagram page. But still... :)
      No plug-in will make your animation better, keyframing abilities makes the difference. Rubberhose is an amazing tool, and I actually use it from time to time on simple animation, but on loop of this kind, where is crucial to have total control on every single movement, layer parenting is still the best solution, and will always be.

      Nice! Thanks for the reply and the patience because you often find this kind of question.
      If you allow me a suggestion in video descripition it's not saying that is a "plug-in-less" technique. Your videos are awesome! Congratulation for your work!

      1:21 "Move Anchor Point" is not from Adobe After Effects. It's very useful and free.
