Replace that long shovel with a foldable utility shovel. Harbor Freight has a really good one for like $12 and it even comes with a carry pouch. It folds up small and is perfect for camping use

Would just suggest using reusable plates, cutlery, etc. to cut down on waste and space. ❤️ love the dryer sheet idea 💡

Thank you for watching! We do have reusable plates & cutlery for the most part now that we have a camper…I purchased the recycled plastic line from Target!

yes, I have a mess tin. Its like a metal sectioned tray that they have in schools and prison. Easy to clean, pack, and re-use next trip out. No more wasting money on paper plates

Thankfully, when my wife and I go camping, it is just the 2 of us. But even when my son was with us, we carried less than 1/3 of what you guys carry and never needed something we didn't have. However, I must admit, we also do a lot of backpacking so much of our camping equipment is light and portable. But when we do take a vehicle, much of our camping gear is still the same we use backpacking.

Awesome tips! Love the idea of storing the sheets and towels with dryer sheets. Definitely could do that in our linen closet too just to keep everything smelling nice! -S

Thank you for watching! And yes, sometimes things we store in plastic totes get a bit musty smelling - adding dryer sheets definitely keeps that smell away!

Look up African net sponges. Theyre just like loofahs, but they fold up smaller and are machine washable. Theyll last you a while, and they get your skin so smooth!!

We do the totes also because we travel in a 2 seater truck so everything must be rain proof to go in the truck bed.

Try microfibre towels, that will save sooooo much room and they dry faster.

I have the same problem. I have just a small car and bring probably just as much. By the time I get it all in there, there is just enough room for me and my nephew. I couldn't bring another person if I wanted to. I too plan to reduce what I bring. Thanks for the tips.

Hi! We always camp on electric sites. They are a bit more expensive, but usually only by a few dollars. We find having electricity & keeping some of the creature comforts helps us have a more relaxing trip 🙂.

What kind of car do you have to pack all that? How many kids? I have an equinox but I have a 13 yr old, twin 2 year olds and a baby due in July. We would not be able to fit all that in our car lol
