4:15 so I haven't downloaded or bought the trick but I think I k ow how it's done. So I've been doing magic seriously for about 3 years now (I'm 14yrs old) and I have ADHD and slight autism. Most people think of it as some type of disability but having both of those things changes how your brain works. It can sometimes make me hyperfocus and can make me think of things in a different way. I feel like having this "disability" more helps me and helps start up a new way of thinking. The only reason I'm really saying this is one because as Chris Ramsey said, he thinks in a while different way. The other reason is to encourage people that have "problems" like me to not be upset that you have this but to use it and show people how it's better than most people think. I know this is a bit random but I hope this helps someone and keeps them going through these hard and rough times in the world right now.

My nephew has autism (he's non verbal) and most my family has ADHD. It is in no way a "disability." I also think a little differently than most. It's an advantage in certain areas. Where you may struggle in certain areas in life you will also excell in others. I'm glad to hear you're using it to your advantage. Don't ever let anyone tell you otherwise.
Always remember some of the smartest and creative people in the world have autism. Bill Gates, Albert Einstein, Steve Jobs, Tim Burton, Stanley Kubrick, Rodney Mullen, Thomas Jefferson, Charles Darwin, Henry Cavendish, even Michaelangelo are just some of the countless autistic people to grace our world.
It seems to me like the top card is suspended and there’s a sort of flap of white paper that his card is slipped underneath. Still trying to figure out the exact mechanics of the flap

The Dress Code Is such a Classic Trick and along with some other effects of his helped me get this journey started and get away from my hugely degrated Life of a little lonely boy who was constantly bullied. If there is one person I should thank for my life is Calen Morelli.

Chris I have been thinking about how half of your viewers are not subscribed. I don't understand. I know there are other people that do puzzles but your channel is so much more than just that. That is one thing but then just now I go to hit the thumbs up button and I see 75 people hit the thumbs down button and it blows my mind as much as Calen's tricks. I know it's all just a part of being successful on CZcams but I hope it does not get you down like ie does me and I know you are working extra hard this year to turn that around. The red tab on the lighter started at the top, when you twisted your fingers it then showed on the bottom. Didn't see the box though
A lot of magic is that obvious on camera but in person that would easily work on someone.

It could all just be an act to sell some form of entertainment or the reason he acts so monotone like David Blaine is because the amount of Xanax he takes , exceeds normal doses. Just so he doesn't freak out over the truth of our reality. Just look up the film "they live", which the lead actor died a few months after he stated on twitter that the film is a "documentary ". That is only one of the many coincidences you can speculate on.
These non-human entites pick on us because they see us as non-sentient , similar to west world androids. Their anger towards God is so extreme, that they go to great lengths to torment our existence, as a means to satisfy their own frustrations with God. Even though these entities know we are much more capable than we ourselves realize. It's just like a magician setting the illusion that we cannot understand the trick, that we are powerless , when in fact, we are powerful. It's all just about understanding the trick.
These malevolent forces torment us to feel in control, all because God is more powerful than them. A pity that their existence is consumed by hatred for conciousness.

They got the punctuation all wrong. Is This ACTUAL Magic?! - NO! CAMERA TRICKS!
Magic is designed for first person experience however it can be adopted to camera work where angles etc.. should be approached differently due to the augmented experience through a camera lens that can be replayed.
The first trick didn’t rely on a camera angle . A little sl- nvm .
And some can only be done with editing software, the melting card one for example, the deck had all the middles cut out with one full card on top and then the middles were replaced by using a second shot of a regular deck.
Same thing with the warped card, he was holding the boxy card the whole time and edited in a regular looking card/touched up the edges to remove the modified card, there's some weird movements with the card too, he lets go with both hands and the card appears to spin around, actually now that I wrote it out he absolutely just had the modded card behind the normal one and just let go of the normal one when he spun them around. Probably still needed to edit out the normal card though
Angle can be manipulated live and in person, it makes sense that angle is not considered a camera trick.
0:02 nice flash of the red lighter button in the up position and then magically it is in the down position after the reveal. 👏👏👏👏🤣

@@starlady6154 If you look closely at the box flap, it has multiple layers, so I think the sticker folds inside out of view
@@LightningProcedure I have watched closely in .25 speed. You see it jump but you can't tell what happens. I'm thinking the bottom of the deck has an actual card with half of a sticker that he somehow vanishes. Maybe a pulley system like the raven or gecko, or maybe something as simple as a tenkai/gamblers palm or even lapping. But as for the flap, I notice its completely closed at the beginning and slightly opened after the vanish of the sticker. This is a clue to the method but that's far from saying I understand the dynamics of how this vanish was achieved. I'm not impressed by the lighter but whatever gimmick or sleight was done to the box is STUNNINGLY visual

not sure if he would be allowed as the tricks seem to be heavily relying on camera perspective , and could even be utilizing hidden cuts (claiming no video editing does not mean there isn’t any, it is just barely noticeable)
Considering Caleb’s tricks are already easy to figure out when he has the advantage of a camera angle, I don’t think he would be able to fool Penn & Teller.

He's amazingly good but I also see that as a magician he's been alot more impressive for you. His magic obviously takes some magical understanding to truly see what makes h so special. He does it so well and so smoothly that as a layman it's hard to really pull apart what makes h stand apart from other magicians.
Oh and sorry but I've always hated that David Blain doped up but not slow talking thing that some magicians seem to have taken on.

SOoo basically i looked at it real close and its a hollow box with a flat white PIECE of paper inside the box at the bottom, which he puts the card underneath and than lifts it up, so you would only see like half or just the corner of the card, ITS JUST AN ILLUSION

He's approaching magic from the standpoint almost of a student of neuroscience. He's taking really impressive advantage of the human brain's propensity for making assumptions about the things it observes or senses. You don't have conscious control over what unconscious assumptions your brain and mind will make. You can even be fully aware that your brain is about to make an assumption, like right before you look at an optical illusion you can prepare yourself the effect, and your brain will still make those assumptions and leaps and you'll still experience the outcome in the exact same way. Our brains are WAY more fallible than we're comfortable admitting.
Your brain filters everything you sense, especially with your eyes. It adds things, it subtracts other things, and a huge percentage of your overall concept of reality itself is based on things that never happened, information that never actually existed, and it's so convincing that there's no true way for you to know for sure what's real and what's been created by your own brain.
It's a neurological betrayal of the highest order, by your own brain,
And it's fantastic.
Everyones pointing out the lighter thing like they're geniuses, but nobody's talking about what happened to the box. The lighter flip is a basic principle and really not that big of the deal, explain the damn box people, that's where the magic REALLY is
You can clearly see another layer over the flap of the box. nothing to do with inside the box. I'm guessing the box case has some sort of slinky/3D paper art/origami/thingamajig that he can make collapse with the slight same time the lighter gets turned around.

If I was gunna take a guess it would be similar though, except I think theres an actual playing card on the bottom of the box with half a sticker over it, however that's not to say that I know how its done, I don't see the flap you're talking about, but I do see a bump on the bottom, which leads me to my playing card guess, but even so that doesn't explain the flap, or even how the vanish of said card was achieved, so yeah, like it or not we're both fooled man

@@arisadefazio7885 It's probably magnets, he never shows us the exposed "cut," portion of the card for a reason. I've played around, attempting this exact trick before this video and my only conclusion was I needed magnets in the card, which they do make small enough magnets you could get them inside of a card, especially when you have this guys resources. The weight of the deck is enough to hold behind the smaller pieces of the card while the magnets detach. It's cut twice with two sets of magnets, so he can do the corner first, then the larger top portion.

While there are some tricks that he does in which can be figured really easily or you already know how it's done, the most important part that should be appreciated is the play on perception. The most simplistic tricks can look as mysterious/awe inspiring as a Houdini escape by just changing little things like angles, where the focus is, etc. I absolutely enjoy Calen's tricks and appreciate how he bends perception.

Yeah, these are some Chris Angel tv-show stuff: From this angle it is an unbelievable trick but from an other angel it is obvious... From the first time spectator it is amazing, but he/she doens't realize that all the other spectatos are in the game. "Filmed magic" is always spectactacular, but in my opinion it leaves too many questions unrelated to the "magic" itself.
Angle, Angel. I don't think it's a coincidence.
11:50 can see the coin being pushed off the phone.
Opening effect you can really only do with bic. There are many like this including burnt stickers, adding a sticker removing a sticker ; because bic lighters are essentially the same on both sides and if you use a “paddle” move you can do some awesome effects like this one. I’ve never seen this one done before (gain similar) and I really really like it! Especially with the card box! If I MAY make one suggestion as a tip for your audience (viewers)?
Tip: keep the bic lighter and box relativity close but either
1. Remember ; Dai Vernon said “a large action covers a small action”
For me that “paddle” turnover was very viable and most of my focus was on the Bic, so much so that I initially missed the transport from box (vanish) to Bic (appearance) but I didn’t miss the move that revealed the transport. Maybe wave the hands a bit to cover the rotation.
2. Try to bring more attention to the box (gimmicked, assume haven’t watched the whole video yet, I’m 20 seconds in 😂) the move is so much more subtle but just as visual! If not more visual. This way it vanishes then they look up and see it on the lighter. This gives you a bit more cover and very intentional misdirection. Don’t say “look at the sticker” maybe say “want to see something cool with a card box?” This way they focus more on the box as a whole whole the lighter is just off a bit and more in peripheral or slightly blurred from being out of focus.
Just my two cents! And what I noticed right off the bat! I apologize!
P.S watched it back and focused more in the box and it looked flawless and gorgeous, watched it back and focused on the lighter and it was a dead giveaway !

I love this guy and I love people with minds like this guy. He is so innovative at a well-known craft. I try to do this with poetry, subverting peoples expectations with the form, aesthetic and linguistics of my poetry. This guy is on another level and I endeavour to have a mind like his.

well im inspired to use the pushover get ready more often lol. i usually use it for shapeshifter and such, but if you can choreograph a little slight hand movement its well hidden. he makes it seem like hes not using a get ready really well.
