I’m confused. Rule two of the Move Phase states that “players are not allowed to MOVE their pieces to the center intersection” yet in all example gameplays, one or both players move at least one of their pieces into the center intersection.
Am I misunderstanding what the “center intersection” is? I was under the impression it was the center-most intersection where the eight lines intersect. All examples follow the drop phase rule of “no center intersection” but not the move phase rule

I believe there might be a misunderstanding. The rule actually states, "players are NOW allowed to MOVE their pieces," meaning players are allowed to move their pieces to the center intersection.

The rules of the game are well explained in the text, but poorly applied in the animated examples.
In the first example (Round 1), the first move of the second player (first red line) does not comply with the rules of the game, because it does not cross the blue line (which started the game).
In the third example (Round 3), the first four moves are not legal, because they do not cross any of the above lines.
In all the examples, legal plays alternate with others that are not.

I apologize, but you may have made an error in your comment.
There are no blue or red lines in this game. For example, in the third round, I provide an example of how a player can win in just two moves with the correct initial placement of pieces. There is no possibility of 'illegal' four moves, as it is the drop phase.

There's nothing to worry about, but I must correct you on the rules of that game. As per the rules, a new line is allowed (MAY) to intersect with only one other line, but it's not mandatory to do so. Therefore, all the moves demonstrated in the animation are correct.

Anyway, thank you for bringing the lack of clarity in the rules to my attention!
I will update the written description of the game below the CZcams video with more details later on.

@@funnygameideas I published the Crossline game in Games Magazine in the October 2009 issue, I am the author, and the idea I had when creating this game is that from the second turn each line crosses exactly one of the previously drawn lines. Not one more and not one less.
Congratulations to your team, for the beautiful work they have done.
