    Sure wish I had seen this earlier today. I'm making some invitations that could have been two-sided, but couldn't figure out how to do it, so sucked it up and I'm printing 60 card fronts and 60 inside panels and then will glue. LOL! This video is a KEEPER!!

    Great tutorial Karley! Thanks! One question I have is if I am printing an activity booklet that is 6x7.5 (so only one page per side will fit) do I even need a template or DS will just align them at the same point in the upper corner and as long as I don't move them they should cut just fine?

    Where did you get the templet for the design?

    I have a save the date card my daughter's step daughter has okayd me to make since she is not well versed in Cricut at all. Yours is more complicated than the one I have to make(bride to designed it in Canva) but the design of the card is a Grecian urn. Is it possible to actually cut that out? Im guessing I should use an offset around the urn like you would in a sticker design. Any suggestions you have would be wonderful to hear....thx

    Karley, I also use Epson, so I upped my photo to Glossy photo even though I was using matte Epson paper - it worked

    • @KarleyHall
      @KarleyHall  Před 3 měsíci +1

      Thanks for the advice! That would be way simpler. I may need to take a look at my printer driver settings because when I choose glossy and print on matte it completely changes my colors!

      @@KarleyHall I only use Epson paper in my Epson Eco Tank printer - glossy or photo gloss really brightens the color - matte is nice but not as brilliant - I also find that glossy and photo glossy seems to use less ink - it is completely dry when it comes out of the printer - with matte, if you accidentally get a bit of glue on your paper, it can be hard to get off - it will remove color if you aren’t careful - but with glossy you can use a glue eraser with no problem - I make lots of greeting cards and am very fussy how they look

    Beautiful Card! I use a silhouette and have the same print quality issues; any suggestions on how to resolve the print quality in Silhouette. Also, any videos on designing in AI and moving designs into Silhouette to print and cut? Silhouette doesn't use CMKY so my colors when printed are off.

    • @KarleyHall
      @KarleyHall  Před 3 měsíci

      I would suggest saving your design as a PDF and print from another program to see if that helps. I haven’t had as many issues printing from Silhouette studio but I will play around and see what I can find out for you!

    how did you get it to preview the print then cut on two separate* papers (separate being double-sided, but it shows in preview as two papers, 1 & 2). I followed all your instructions but it's showing mine all on one paper.

    • @KarleyHall
      @KarleyHall  Před měsícem

      I’m not sure I understand your question. You only need to preview one side since you only cut once.

    Do I have to use 9.25 for the width? I am trying to make 2 cards of 5x7 on one sheet of paper. Thanks!

      I have not been able to print 2 5x7s on cricut! Just on silhouette!

    When I print from PDF and keep scaling 100%, the top and bottom of the alignment brackets (I already forgot what they're called lol. Registration marks?) are cut off. I have the brackets on the sides of the page, but not the top and bottom. I can't figure out why. They're within the printable margin so it's not making sense to me. Gah!

      Update: (also, this is my other account so the original comment was mine too lol)... It only does it when I tell it to do the auto double sided print. So weird! But at least I can still flip It manually and have it work properly. I'm excited to do my test cut now in the machine! Program designing is so much better than Design Space designing!

    DO you happen to have a video on how to do that hack if printed from a canva design? I don’t know why the quality goes down so much on cricut

    • @KarleyHall

    A huge thank you Karley. I have watched so many tutorials on double sided cards and they have always been a little bit off. I am wanting to print my own business cards so will give your method a go, as the your whole process makes sense. May I ask, why did you use 9.25inches? I will be using an A4 sheet so need to work out what size square I need. I look forward to hearing from you and watching more of your videos. Once again thank you so much

    • @KarleyHall
      @KarleyHall  Před 3 měsíci

      Thanks for the great comment! Honestly, 9.25” was a guess based off of the old print then cut max parameters. They used to be 9.25” x 6.75” so those are always my go to measurements since I can’t seem to remember the new measurements. Those are the letter size dimensions- so A4 will be slightly different. You can play around with your max print then cut size by rescaling a rectangle set to print then cut until you get an “image warning” on your layers panel. It’ll say your image is too large and even give you the option to auto resize. Then you can use that dimension to build your template! Hope this helps!
