- Atlas installs a 10X33 culvert shelter with a generator pod that has a diesel generator. It took 4 days to install this bunker after the hole was dug.
Ron films lots of details in this video.
This is the short version of this installation, a complete version will come out soon. That will be 90 minutes long.

I think the design is really good, one thing I would change though is maybe a double airtight door as an airlock before entering the main bunker section just so when you do open the one airtight door, you’re not contaminating the rest of the bunker
Excellent idea
Also don't like the idea of being safely locked away in the bunker with my utilities on the other side of the entrance where I can't get to them if there was any kind if incident.

My hubby and I love watching you videos right from the beginning to the end. Wish we could afford one but hubby is a disabled wheelchair bound Veteran. He could never get in or out of one. But still fun to watch and dream 😊
I'd love to have one of these if I had the money, except mine wouldn't be a survival shelter. I would use it as my personal hangout, a place to be alone away from the world. Granted, I wouldn't need a generator pod since I'd hook it up to mains power.
Me and my friends are going to live together and we want to have a bunker to use as extra rooms
Awsome man cave. Doubles as a bunker.
I would want a generator pod so it could be used as a man cave and a survival bunker.
best for drug den so that officers can't catch me 👍🤪🤪🤪🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣🤣😭😭
When I hit the lottery and buy my property LOL you'll be the first phone call I make before I build my house
Same. But for that i would need to play the lottery.
This was amazing! All the parts and intricacies to getting it functional were fascinating!
Your a good man. It's not always easy to demonstrate kindness. I believe Scott's a good person. Very nice bunker. well designed, built and installed.
29:03 *"I'm going to go down backwards... which is normal."* That part cracked me up!
LOL, yep, that cracked me up too.
I think i saw that blue shirt/Grey cap guy working in almost every scene, you better give that guy a raise
I love watching them being installed. Can't wait until it's mine being installed.
I always want to see how things are engineered. Even if I'm not building a bunker, there are always things to learn from skilled tradesmen.
Make sure you use the $10,000 before Jan 1 but the vid was uploaded on the 3rd XD XD
The 10x33 is the one were saving up for! Looks great!
Great to see the process and thanks for the cost breakdown. I think I'll be buying one ;)
Bigsky guy.
Our soil is here is perfect for a shelter of this type....
Me, central Montana.
Takes a whole bunch of skill to cut a straight line with a torch. My cuts still look a lot like a Charlie Brown pumpkin. Much respect.
I would love a bunker nice and quiet underground stays cool and I can smoke my tree in peace
kushnir6349
You could turn the entire bunker into a live-in bong.
First time watching the channel, but people really want to skip the installation process? That is the best part of this video! I would have like to see the initial dig of the hole but then also the move from the truck to the hole via crane. Great stuff!! I would love to have one, but too expensive for me!
Would sure love to see one of your Platinum Series being built.
Dunno why people don't like to watch installation, I love to see the passion you and your team put into their work. I love to see all the details. Could do 2 types of video, 1 with all video clips and ending and another with just the walk through. I want to see bigger more expensive ones.
I will be building our dream log cabin house over top one of these!
You could always bury an RV. Put in a septic tank and fresh water tank. Dig out of an area about 40 ft square.go deep enough to have 3 ft of dirt on top. Build a dirt ramp and just back the RV down into it. Then build around it. Put in vents . The extra space outside the RV could be for storage and even a outside sitting area. You could lite it up with led bulbs. You could build a concrete bunker around it. Just an idea.
great video you answered all my questions about the water and waste thanks you do a great job and a great product
The codger operating the excavator is pretty good. Those gray hairs are experience.
Have you ever thought about installing impressed current or even a sacrificial anode to protect the galvanized metal from rusting? You should a Perma-Cell and a volt meter to measure the potential between the soil and the bunker. You will be surprised with the current reading.
I am curious because I use to work for a company and for pipelines and UST's.
One other thing is, any rock and acidic soil conditions will cause a HOLLIDAY in the steel over time.
Just things I dealt with over a 24 year time span. I have seen some 1/4" tanks develop a holidays in several locations on the lower third of the vessel.
Just curious of the research??
You finished product looks very nice.
they should also use an isolation transformer like they do with ships when they connect to shore power , otherwise the same thing occurs and corrosion will be accelerated by the mains power connection.
Victron make one specifically for ship to shore power.
@@markyes2041 I was thinking that too, also I would of used Denso Tape on the bolts too.
What is a HOLLIDAY in the steel ??
@@missouribob7850 Good Morning Bob, it's a area of decay, a pitting of corrosion staring on the surface that looks like a cavity so to speak like you would see on your tooth. Only it's pitting on metal.
Just trying to give you a perspective to help visualize.
It's the dielectric Decay that is starting on the metal.
Hope this helps??
I don't know why people don't like the construction process; big fan hope you have a great new year
She's a beauty!
Yep!
Surprised this guy dont got more comments on this comment .
👍👌Proper compaction is the most important part of the installation.
Can’t wait to buy one!!
I hope to get one someday. :)
I'd like one 12x12 to hide from my kids
Thanks for posting a long video with a lot of good information. Looking forward to more.
Love your shelters, hope to be ordering one soon, one question. How do you secure the bullet proof hatch once inside so noone can get to you.
Probably the same way you should with a naval door, like they lock on one side and once it’s locked it’s impossible to open from the other side
For all the nay sayers I recommend Theodore Roosevelt’s short essay, “Who Counts?” That was our informal Ranger creed at Ft. Benning Georgia. It’s NOT the critic who counts in life but the one actually in the arena, the doer, who ultimately counts :)
I wanna see the sequel: you said there was going to be a house? Show the finished product please!
I'd also like to see one of you Platinum Shelters $1million+ please!
If I’m the owner I don’t want my house Shown as it gives it away for strangers to know I have the shelter.
Texas is big but it ain’t bigger than Atlas subscribers. And if SHTF: I’d want privacy not a big crowd saying
“Let us in; we know your down there we saw it on the Atlas videos!”
Who wouldn’t love one of these!?!?!
How does that $150k stack up to something similar in ICF with concrete roof and floor? BTW, you should add some round tubing going down either side of the stairs for hand rails and you then you could put a cart on it with wheels made to roll down the tubing to make it easier to get supplies down with a winch system. could be offered as an upsell.
or should be standard in bunker production................
200 year old Mining tech used in a bunker? Noooooo... Yes? Yes!
How prophetic were your words. With the entire world coming to an almost standstill, having a supply of good long lasting food is a great idea.
That is some serious earthworks!
*I have a few recommendations from what I could see...*
*1.* ALL of your metal should be COATED all sides/exposed metal with either a protective heavy paint, and/or a protective covering like spray-on Truck Bed Liner, thinner version (you know what I mean). *2.* Replace ALL PVC piping with Stainless Steel or similar so it lasts properly. Also, some of your piping otherwise might need to be stainless steel also. PVC degrades very quickly, it's bad to be using PVC for a survival shelter. *3.* Your smaller pipes, you should include a bigger "outer pipe" to protect the smaller pipe. The smaller pipe is inside the bigger pipe. This is because the smaller pipes contain things that might need to be changed etc., so this allows fixing and other changes.
I thought he said the pvc pipe was going to the water, electric and sewer hookups which is normal plus he said a foundation for a house going over bunker?
Galvanized culverts last a very long time without water flowing through them. Buried PVC also lasts a long time not exposed to the elements. I replaced the metal water supply line to my home well over 30 years ago with no problem so far with it yet.
@@rvsorce7196 ... Normal for a house, but NOT a good idea for a Survival Shelter in which you want the materials to last 100's of years, not 10 or so. PVC doesn't last long at all when exposed to the elements, and when not it only lasts like double the time.
@@Hero4Hire4 ... Ya, but this is one's survival shelter, you want things to be lasting at least several 100 years, preferably more.
leeuniverse Really!!! 😳
These things should be made with slide outs.
Watching from SLC-37. They've got pretty bad ass bunkers built out here.
I wonder what the PSI on that shelter will be when the house is built?
Keep up the vids man. You’re really doing the lords work for people who have no idea about bunkers.
You guys are good. That is a place I would sell my house for and just live permanently. I’m seriously thinking about this. Quality craftsmanship gentlemen!
Zukiman600 the steel will rust also if it gets scratched by the rocks
Great job
Bring on the long version!
Have any of your employees purchased a bunker and worked on it at the same time
Great video! Always interesting to see! Id love to see the house built above the shelter in one of the videos if possible, just to see how everything is in-cooperated, assuming a house goes above the shelter.
I fully plan on having one of these on my 4 acres in Texas
Omg I missed you! I was honestly worried something happened!
I can watch these all day
I wouldn't say in the middle of on where because you can hear the traffic nearby
As soon as the bunker is covered, my claustrophobia kicks in. Lol
I always enjoy watching the installation process. It's fascinating.
i always think that i would want a secondary entrance/ exit, away from the house and pretty well hidden, because what if a tornado or bomb knocks the house on top of the only way out??? yes people would search for survivors and clean up, but what if it’s worst case scenario and it was a bomb and nobody will be cleaning up rubble for a long time? maybe ever
Need a jack to push door up
One thing you dont show yet is how the whole septic system works like how the water comes in to run the sink, toilet, and shower and then where does all that grey water go.
Your right; I would think a compost toilet would be more practical
What keeps the spiral wound culvert from leaking?
I thought the bed right next to the actual ladder/door outside was a bad idea, but then i thought about it, its actually the perfect place, you will always be laying there with your shotgun aiming at the front door!
Yeah, that's definitely more than I could install myself...
Nah its easy
Hello I was wondering if you could make a side by side bunker with the living space in the middle of them. To save space.
can we see some of the platinum models if any have been built
Rob if you are going to advertise companies you should REALLY start remembering people's names. And I LOVE the installs. They are so fun to watch.
I was today years old when I realized that the abbreviation for Atlas Survival Shelters is ASS lol
Rising s is ass though lol
Stairs seems better to me than a ladder, what if someone if hurt or old, idk. Plus I bet its nice a cold down there for sure even in a warm place like my home in Arizona.
Cant wait see more amazing
A lot of really good tips details. Thanx guys!
this is fascinating, if i ever win the lottery i will be giving you a call bud
MASKED MAN
If someday I hear nukes are being launched I’m heading to the beach at least I get to see it one last time before I’m near ground zero.
Mark M if you’re 7+ miles away from the blast you’re going to get 2nd and 3rd degree burns over your body, then get showered with radiation. Which leads to the inevitable. I’d rather be in a bunker.
This is awesome what a great way to make a liven !
Compacting 7/8" crushed? Not gonna happen. Use 5/8" minus Water it down and it way tighter than 7/8" crushed. Better yet use sand, zero voids.
Mike M sand never stays compacted when it’s wet that’s why crush is better it drains and stays tight
i will never have a bunker... but i find the whole topic interesting.... that means this is a great channel
How good would these shelters be in a Forrest fire situation? How long would the air last inside?
Not a problem.
With stored air and a positive pressure ventilation system.
A fire would be very limited in time duration.
I cannot believe you do this for $150,000. Looks awesome inside.
14:38 He got a text message from his wife.
Atlas survival shelter,
You guys are the man! I friggen love these under ground houses!
I'd way dig on having one in my backyard...
Thank you for sharing your work buddy, and for taken the time to make
These video's for us.....
Where the proper ppe while using a torch lmao
Man that's really nice ,good job
Happy New Year
Have you considered adding radiation detectors in the mud room/hatch area as standard so people can check radiation levels from within the bunker area itself?
Having some above the shelter in the pipework near the surface would be nice too. Give you an idea of what it's like outside.
more important to have CO2 detectors inside the shelter and the mudroom should have a decontamination shower that pumps out topside far away from the shelter
Wauu nice - this is on my Dream list
24:30 ouch hot steel on your skin! Who needs gloves?
PopsGG
Gloves are overrated huh?
An idea, how about some kind of dumbwaiter lift that attaches to the rails of the steps. it would make real easy to bring down all the supplies to be stocked; a real time/back saver for the customer .
engineer775? Isn't that the guy I stopped following years ago when he promoted your competitors crap pile? yeah....was.......hmmmmm...might want to look at the video he has pumping up he shitboxdeathtrap from about 2014....
WOW, SO MUCH MORE BEAUTIFUL AT 150K & is so much better built and homey than the 200K competitor's unweilded POS. I HOPE YOU GIVE YOUR WELDERS FRESH AIR OR GIVE THEM MILK TO DRINK ALL DAY.
My husband has been on some jobs where he has welded galvanized and its like he has the flu in the evenings.
Beautiful work, wish I had one in already. Gonna be needing these after elections this year!!
welding galvinized in an enclosed area god bless your United States hahaha
These shelters are the complete solution as it happens, well made thought trough, according to my observations as some one with No experience.
In my own thinking I would suggest the addition 'basic survival gear, back pack, all purpose paper, water, fire starter, knife, weapons of choice, ammo,
flashlights, batteries, battery operated radio if possible weather channel, complete head, nose. eyes, face protection. You can find more specific gear at the Red Cross Site, Amazon.com and Walmart also sells the survival package. Back to the shelters shown please do not go outside until you know if possible what conditions you are likely to encounter. Great Job I can not afford it but it is what it is. Thank you.
I noticed a picture of Jesus behind you on the wall. I find it funny that people who are expecting to go to heaven are so concerned about surviving WW3. Can you explain that?
Just because you believe in God doesn't mean you want to die.
@@bluecollarnation5843 But, every day is another chance that you will lose your salvation, through some act of worldly reason, or loss of faith. Go now.
Great build, Brother!
Someone let TMZ know how unreliable Rising S Bunkers are.
Pretty cool, except for the welding galvanized culvert pipe without fume extraction.
Thoose small staircases are like ladders
Wow its a big process to do this right
Cool!! Great video.
Love the installs
Enjoy the whole process with these videos it's cool
I'm no safety inspector but think if someone wants a bomb shelter, these guys can deliver!
Awesome 👏 bravo 👏 bravo you guy’s make the best bunkers in the world 🌎 one day I’ll have me one too.
Wow this are awesome builds I will have you guys build mine one day soon !!
I liked how you filmed those 2 guys climbing out the bunker
Keep up the good work. Keep showing the work you do it's interesting to see. I for one as a Californian guy appreciate everything you do. If I could have one of those I would. Thanks for everything keep up the good work
Great this video 💓 your unground bomb shelter
What's the biggest unit you've made and how deep.was the installation
Really nice work guy's
Well....worth the cash
Nice layout as well.....nice space
at least all denominations can agree that underground rooms are cool
