Walmart credit card holders will soon have a new co-branded partner.
The credit card partnership between Capital One and Walmart is officially over with.
And that might just be the beginning of the bad credit card news for Capital One.

Ever since the announcement, I've thought of it differently than most people. Cap One mostly wants the network. I could see them keeping the Discover It Cash, but the rest of the Discover cards are junk. I could see them moving the lower tier Capital One to Discover branding (ie. "Discover Savor" "Discover Quicksilver" etc). Those cards would move over to the Discover network. As a matter of fact, I could see them changing the name of the combined company to Discover because Discover has a better reputation.

Word on the street is the government has an agenda to level the playing field with Mastercard and visa payment network market share and discover is not only an issuer but a payment network as well. So if the government approves this merger, it will help the government achieve that agenda🤷🏽‍♀️Btw, I’m not excited about this either but I think it’s gonna happen. We won’t see the fallout from this for a few years though.

My wife has the Walmart Card. I told about this when walmart was first complaining about Cap1 customer service and saying they want to break with them.
Remember that Amazon almost left Chase a couple years ago because they wanted Chase to be less strict with approvals.

I have a Cabela’s credit card thru Capital One. Never had a problem with them, replacement card sent when fraud detected and was received in four days. Good experience with them.

When verifying information be sure to consider the source often people fall into conformation bias because the only source they consider are the ones they already agree with.

These corporations give credit card companies access to their pipeline of customers so you would think the credit card companies would do what it takes to maintain that customer bases instead of making payment posting difficult or wasting consumer's time with horrible credit limits, fees, and interest rates.

do a video on the new trend, the 8 dollar late fee backlash is coming, synchrony raised the rate of some cards to 34.99, Usaa just jacked the balance transfer fee from 3 percent to 5 percent and my amazon gift card minimum went to 5.00 per transaction. All of this in 30 days from an 8 dollar late fee rule.
