Love this version. I performed it for a 70th birthday party in the “GO-GO” City in May. It was well received.

Never knew about “Smitty”. I like!!! Nice to have another singing drummer! (I can relate) Have ALWAYS LOVED Frank!!! He still owes me a Face Towel 😊. He played a concert in Seattle at 88 Keys Club and had no towel for sweating - he was using napkins the promoter gave him and I couldn’t allow him to go out like that.. so I sent my towel to the stage for him.. I’m always prepared on a hot day. STILL have him in my phone singing his heart out!!! Stevie/Donnie essence all rolled into one man!! Awesome. LOVE THIS!! ❤️💕

This is a great rendition of the song and I like the "Doin The Butt" beat change up at the end. The drummer has a nice voice that reminds me of Kem. The key board players voice is just phenomenal and the closest I've heard to Donny's silky smooth voice. Donny's version is the only one that makes me cry like a baby every time I hear it, but again, this is a very tight upbeat version
