Until today, the only quality remake I had ever heard was performed by his daughter, Lala. R&B has a very distinctive sound, I've often seen it closely approximated by other than its originators, but he has FULLY captured it.

At the height of the pandemic, I heard Jarrod Lawson for the first time on Pandora. His boyish good looks and jazzy style are so refreshing. The blue-eyed soul of jazz, as his moniker fits the man.
