I only mentioned that for people who like to go after numbers but if you like the character personally, then go for the characters which you like instead and it's not like Childe is a very bad DPS too. He is just the second worst 5 star DPS after Keqing who is the worst at lower constellations. Childe is a beast if you have him at C6 though. Even the Chinese community has proved it mathematically that these 2 are the worst 5 star Dps's with the normal theory crafters. So it all depends on the individual if they like the character more or if they like seeing big numbers more.
Childe is op, he was my first five star and he is a lot of fun.
It's not gonna change the fact that he is still bad at C0. He is considered the 2nd worst 5 star DPS after Keqing.

@shoyo_onigiri Any character works well if you build them right. I'm guessing he's talking about the Constellation meta spreadsheets. Honestly Tartaglia isnt bad. just harder to play. I got him C2 and he's performing pretty well. considering i STILL havent gotten good artifacts for him. Also idd keqing is awesome. I've got her C1 with great everything and primordial cutter, combined with Xingqui makes her so good :D. ( but in all fairness, if these characters are considered weak, then there is a 1001% chance that mihoyo is/keeps doing powercreep until forever )
@@harshvashisht8166 not rlly, i have childe at c0 and were doing just fine dealing high consistent damage, it really just depends on the player and their playstyle if he'll be bad or not, his kit is just complicated because changing back to archer mode asap is essential for him to conserve his cd
@shoyo_onigiri He is good, I am not saying he Is bad but like the guy below you said, I was talking about the constellations and spreadsheet data. According to many of the theory crafters, he is considered as the second worst DPS after Keqing. This has also been said by the Chinese community of the game. In their community, almost no one likes Keqing as she is the worst and they only like to go after stronger units. It's upto an individual if they want to go after numbers or not. If you like seeing bigger and constant numbers, then save for a unit who is better than both Childe and Keqing but if you like Childe personally, then you should go for Childe as he is good but not better than other 5 star Dps's although he is still better than Keqing.

I mean it is bound to happen. You basically gambled for the gacha. Some people intend to only get Rosaria and then complain about getting Childe is entirely their fault. This is like spoiled people complaining that they got some good food deciding they don't like it while there are people out there that wants food but don't have them.

I generally have trash luck on pulls. But just finessed childe and rosaria on the same 10x pull. Also hit soft pity on the permanent banner and got diluc. Yup, wasn’t dreaming. Man it’s a good feeling. Also, to anybody that’s reading, I hope you have good luck on all your pulls.

I got Hu tao then skipped Venti banner cuz i have Venti already. Right when I pulled 10 wishes just to get Rosaria, i got Childe and Rosaria :)

@@heizoukazuha9042 that's true but if you are a person who likes to go after numbers then I would suggest you to wait for a stronger DPS as all of the other 5 star Dps's are stronger than him except Keqing as she is the worst and this has been proved mathematically too that these 2 are the worst 5 star Dps's but if you like the character personally, then you should obviously go for Childe.
I started in 1.3 and I've been anticipating the Tartaglia rerun for ages. I'd planned a crit build with the Viridescent Hunt for a while and always thought it was strange that other build guides don't even mention the idea. I'd do it even without any guides saying so, but it's nice to see confirmation that it's good thanks to this video.

Hu Tao Works well with Childe both passive work each other :D
It works to an extent but it isn't optimal. You're wasting DPS by spreading out their attack times. It's better of just pairing Hu Tao with Xingqiu and Childe with Xiangling/Beidou to trigger elemental reactions.
If you intend to drag on the fight for long then both of them does work to an extent even if it isn't optimal. You can use Hu Tao's skill first until her duration ends applying Blood Blossom to enemies doing continuous Pyro damage. After her duration ends she has a talent that increases the crit rate of her other party members which greatly benefits Childe. When using Chidle he can continuously apply Hydro to enemies with Blood Blossom for some vaporize and then rinse repeat.
Also Childe's passive don't benefit Hu Tao as much since it only increases AA Normal attacks and Hu Tao's main source of damage is her skill and burst.
@@jzesu9889 just wanna note that you should actually prioritize Hu Tao's normal attacks over her E. You level them the same but you should increase her normals first. If burst support, then level Q in place of her normals. While the attack bonus is important, you need good multipliers to actually utilize it.

plus Childe passive work on Hu Tao bcos Hu Tao E Skill increase her attack and her AA where ur dmg multiply :D

Have been using Tartaglia since I first got him during his release.
ATM I run a 2-2 Gladiator and Wanderer set, everything maxed. My DMG stat caps at 3050.
Honestly though, it isn't much since my basic attacks (Hydro Blades) only deal 2.8-7k damage, and the burst caps at 35k without any buffs or reactions QwQ.
I suspect this is due to me upgrading artifacts with relatively bad substats, and not going for the Hydro DMG bonus / CRIT Rate/DMG bonus.

Childe's aoe is still the most powerful if you consider reactions and if the mobs are more than 3. It's simply because his riptides scale exponentially, unlike Ganyu's whose AOE is linear.
Against 3 or more opponents no one does more AoE damage than him. So I guess he is the best hilichurl and treasure hoarder slayer.

i got childe while trying to get a rosaria, since I knew i didn't have much primogems for a 5 star character, and as a mobile player, his melee form is everything since is so difficult to aim. this guide really helped me a lot since I'm also f2p!

@@cybercat-_- yeah u r lucky u got him in 20 pulls. U can start build up ur pity again for the next 5 star with early reset. I guess u still have a few more fates/primos saved.
That is why the reason why you shouldn't build pity. You can get a 5 star character you don't want especially if you are very lucky.

I wasn't planning on wishing for him, I just wanted Rosaria.
On my 7th wish after getting Venti on 50/50, I got Childe winning 50/50 again.
I don't have anything for him xd so this really helped me and motivated me to go farm some more artifacts.
I'm f2p, and since the beginning of the game I had the worst luck, getting a 5 star till the 80 or 90 wish, the worst artifacts.
All I can say is good luck to everyone, you got this, don't let the gatcha make you sad. You don't know when the good luck is gonna hit you, just be patient c:

still, i really love his gameplay. i was able to 3 star 12-1 and 2 using an electrocharge childe comp with childe, c2 beidou, fischl and c2 xingqiu. (i admit it requires u to be gacha lucky) but still its seriously fun and i suggest yall try it over the usual vaporize comps
