Carrots and beets (Jamie at home: Carrots and Beets). Jamie at Home first aired in the UK on C4 in 2007.
All the food made in this video was shared out and eaten among the very lucky crew. Nothing goes to waste.

LOL - some of you guys need to get over yourselves. How many have rotting carrots and other veggies rotting in the fridge bin right now because you didn't have time to do something 'fancy' that requires a lot of prep - grab 'em, season 'em, COOK 'EM! Like...right now! THat's why I love Jamie Oliver
+C Davis so true.
4 years after but still so true...healthy food takes a lot of time and effort, but it’s definitely worth it
I never new how awesome vegetables can be when roasted.
I never really enjoyed eating carrots until I found roasting them makes a massive difference, I could eat a whole bowl of them suddenly.
Same here, I just started roasting vegetables and I'm eating them almost everyday now.
Agreed! The carrots become so sweet! Almost like candy!
I must be honest, I tried this a month or so ago with the vegetables I grew in my garden, & it was DELICIOUS! Absolutely simple yet SO satisfying! Thanks Jamie!
OMG... How much I miss this program. A cable TV here In Brazil used to show every sartuday morning some year ago. I learned the best way to prepare vegetables
Ooh my! I love the way Jamie cooks.. It's so rustic, and perfect, looks effortless and super delicious every single time ! This guy can make you drool over just cucamber..
I like how he put some vegetables in his olive oil
I dont like em black and burned but you could do that if you want
When there's so much oil, it is called frying, even if it's made in an oven.
you're just mad he stole your "that's THAT carrot story" line
need the oil for complete nutrient absorbtion and heat protection, its also a flavor carrier.
Tried it... it was delicious
Jamie, I seriously wish there would be more videos like this on the channel. The way you present your food is so amazing in these videos. As a viewer I completly feel your love for the food.
When watching your recent videos on the channel the main attraction seems to be getting the attention of the viewer and getting him to subscribe.
Best seen in the way the camera works. Here it's mostly on the food - on the other videos it's more focus on the cook himself.
this cooking style stuck in my back of head and always reminds me that the cooking should be easy, fun and tasty. great video!
Yes - loved this series too. Jamie, your passion and enthusiasm is contagious!
Loved this series. Jamie, I thank you for making food so exciting and for your passion and enthusiasm!
I love ***** every since he was on the cooking channel back in 2003. He is a very rustic cook and I love it.
That's what cooking is about, "full of life.". Love you Jamie. Looks delicious. Really like the outdoor cooking.
...unless you're cooking with meat!
Jamie at home is my fav series by Jamie Oliver. I first saw it an eternity ago and come back to it every now and then ever since 🥰
Thankyou Jamie for all your great videos and awesome recipes!
"That's what cooking should be all about - being full of life" - That's exactly what I'm missing in your latest videos where things just look like your average cooking show an tv (however with your not so average cook).
Videos like this seem so much more simplistic and so much more natural. The enjoyment is so much higher seeing those.
This looks so divine 🤤 😋 I love the way Jamie cooks.
The garlic didn't deserve that beating.
😂😂😂😂
0:47 so visceral
😂 😂 😂
Just wonderful, I been tryin to find out about "what is the nutritional value of parsnips" for a while now, and I think this has helped. Have you heard people talk about - Eeycarlott Incredible Expediency - (do a google search ) ? It is a great exclusive guide for discovering how to get the amazing looking body that you desire minus the normal expense. Ive heard some great things about it and my m8 got excellent results with it.
I LOL'd when he did that
this is one of jamie's best recipes of all time. also my favorite show he's done (Jamie at Home).

I haven't been excited by many of the recipes on here for a while, but this one...wow, I want to try it!
I have seen this video again and again since it got out. Never got to make the veggies. Every time I see this I remember why I cook. I always have a silly smile on my face at the end of it :-)) Thanks Jamie!
Looks fab! Deffenetly going to try these to my dinner tonight. Thanks xx
We actually do this during summer with our tomatoes, courgettes, paprikas and onions, with a bit of pesto. Apparently my aunt found it in one your books and it tastes amazing.

Perfect Jamie, Thank You. ❤️🇦🇺🦘
Great tips thanks.
I used this method for the Carrots and Parsnips on Christmas Day. I chose the skinniest carrots and halved them, skin on (washed). Parsnips: quartered, skin on (washed). It worked out GREAT. Definitely my method from now on! Easy and delicious.
Lovely Jamie it was really tasty
looks amazing
Perfect little recipe for a Sunday, just a pity I've already put my veggies on. Still, will be using this one this week.
I want more videos from jamie at home
beautifully done!
special secret: touch every single ingredient before cooking :D
amazing!
damn, vegetables have never been so exciting! big love!
Another SCRUMPTIOUS vegan meal :)
Jamie looks so young, and is so vibrant and full of life in this video :)
I love roast swede. I roasted some chopped up carrots and swede yesterday to have with roast chicken, just with a bit of salt and pepper, bit of olive oil and butter and a sprinkle of thyme. Was delish :D
Looks delicious
agreed. There's something special about Jamie at Home.
jamies the best chef
Perfect
Real hands on
Tip: His "220" is "428 degrees Fahrenheit," and yes, I roast my carrots, broccoli, etc. @ 425 F for approx. 20".
Do you par boil? If so for how long? Thanks!
Garden Girl I usually do for around 8 minutes give or take depending on how you’ve cut them :)
Three words: Just awesome!
There's 3 types of people in this world.... Those that can count... & those that can't!
wow, awsome!
everything he makes looks so damn good!.. Hands down Jaime Oliver has no competition as the best chef in the game!
godis imaginary he was one of Gordon Ramsays students back in the day.. Fyi
Simply great
Just give me that platter-forget whatever the main course is!
Awesome!
yea me too, how i wish i got a garden as big as his
Thanks for this video. Just what I needed for ideas to season the roasted carrots I have to make :)
By the way, is the 220 in Celsius or Fahrenheit?
220 C might make sense with the amount of time he says, but I think that Fahrenheit is used more in Britain? So I'm not sure. I don't cook often.
For anyone with the same question I had, it was 220°C. My carrots were done in about 25min :)
And the carrots turned out wonderful with the addition of a little apple cider vinegar :) Thanks for the idea!
definitely will do this but way less oil!
Great video thanks for sharing, I have homegrown beetroot and radish which I have to try roasted it's just timing (?)
I like it
I thought my indian accent was funny until I heard this guy lol. Not only he's a good cook but also a joy to listen to.
A bowl of olive oil sprinkled with veggies.
Ahahah!!! Best comment ever and so true
poor garlic . He is original
No, it's a tray of vegetables with olive oil. Don't be afraid of olive oil.
yay
awesome
Imported origani (Greek oregano) is also a winner with roast veges..
Have to import good herbs down under :)..
Wow 😍
I lik all kitchen 'and I look you in tv bravo
Grill! Red pepper, green pepper, eggplant, summer squash-olive oil s+p, shake in a ziplock, baste on the grill with Kraft Lite Italian dressing. Best roast vegetable sandwich of my life
in the oil part, i am definitely gonna put lesser olive oil and i'm gonna put a little butter.
i'm trying this for new year's and i guess i'm only putting the carrots, although would broccoli, potato and sweet potato be good in this?
very good
I am still learning a lot about cooking, but I am keenly interested. Can you tell me why the acid component is important for roasting the veggies? I normally just use olive oil and herbs and seasoning and they taste pretty good...
These videos are actually old ones from Jamie's older show 'Jamie at Home', as you can see at 0:06. Google it for more similar stuff
i like a good borsht. and also the ammish make real apple butter.
Yummy!
oh god i love the old intro!
this guy is definitely a hobbit.
