Very interesting indeed! Well... Seaton Delaval does have one Pagan/Witch living in it now. Me lol as a hereditary witch I think I'll refrain from doing rituals by the sea or observing the Sabbats and Esbats ;)
Thanks again for a very interesting watch

Is it the woman with the health shop near the round about next to the Turkish barbers?

That view across the field was the one from my bedroom window in Green Rigg only back in the 60's there was still the wooden framework of the dome.
We were told the bishop wanted too much money to consecrate it.
As kids we were terrified of the place and of Potts the gamekeeper who was reputed to shoot at any trespassers....
All the estate walls had black glass slag from the bottle works cemented along the top, I wonder if they still do.

Back in 1997 me & a friend stayed in the now blocked off crypt for a night ,it was spooky and had pentagrams drawn on the walls and spaces in the walls for coffins ,not the best nights sleep ive ever had 😂 nice beans and sausages cooked in a mess tin though ,fun times

Beans and sausages from a tin when camping are the best. Thanks for the story!
