Fun fact:
The long conveyer sections ARE actually used in a lot of factories, as both as a way to cool the finished product(glass and pastries mainly), AND as storage to use as a buffer in case of a shutdown at an earlier point in the production line
Same for shipping. That said, there is some structure and order to the design.

The sad thing is that scientifically, his factory is technically efficient. It will produce more in constant, which is sad. This maniac ACTUALLY made an effective factory. XD

It's efficient but it is severely unorganized which in turn cuts the efficiency in half as you spend 20x longer finding which crate you had iron plates In lmao

On the one hand, I kind of appreciate that Josh's commitment to making the most ludicrous, frame-rate destroying pathways for things to get from a to b even extends to making the videos in the "satisfactory" playlist be backwards (e.g. with the most recent video playing first and the earliest playing last).

I think josh is the only person that I know that is able to make a game that puts everything infront of you to make an efficient factory into the most inefficient mess to exist.
He went from playing the game right to playing it not exactly as intended to wrong and now he is at the “wrong as possible” level

Hard to believe it’s been two years since this was uploaded. This video is what got me in to the game in the first place. Started out watching you and others before I got the game last July, now I’ve played for 500 hours and made my own monstrosities! Love your vids!

It's always beautiful when the bars embark on their long journey to migrate from their spawning ground to a more hospitable environment. And one day they will make the journey back to their spawning grounds as a building or something. What a beautiful cycle.

So I just watched this video and I live near Los Angeles, and can confirm, that the eyesore that is the starting conveyors is indeed a 150,000% accurate representation of the LA Metro Freeway system.

Record Numbers is basically a better graphical version but functional version of factorio
@@millerpeed5497 There are actually some distinct differences, the Factorio world doesn't encourage exploration for anything but finding new resources, plus they removed the need for killing biters. Satisfactory also has three different world presets at the moment, to play in widely varying environments, as you can see in the beginning of this video it's actually fun and easy to get distracted from your main task of production by the wildlife and terrain. Please note I'm not bashing Factorio, I still love both these games, just pointing out these differences. :)
ARUCARDFTEPES sounds like the comparison of Terraria vs Minecraft-both are similar in concept, but the details make them different experiences

I've only watched the last few videos of this series so going through all of that agin plus these first ones was a whole joyride.
There's also an office in the living quarters and there's an image of a moose on one of the screens but the name of the file says it's supposed to be an uplifting image of a cat.
