These girls have been marketed absolutely brilliantly on CZcams. Beautiful girls, great attitude, catchy pop rock.

If you liked this I definitely recommend Dreamcatcher. They are a very diverse kpop group which always incorporates (some) elements of rock(/metal) in their main songs. For the "b-sides" they do everything some straight up rock/metal, some edm or funky or pop, you name it.
One of their newer main tracks which I recommend is Bon Voyage which seems like a "generic" love song but is actually directed to earth itself.
Dreamcatcher stays a kpop group so dont expect them to for example play instruments but what you should expect is kpop with a rock/metal edge.
For another track from Rolling Quartz I think their debut "Blaze" is very good. And they also did a cover of a earlier Dreamcatcher song "Good Night" which was awesome.
Anyways, love your reactions so I'm looking forward to what you will react to next!

Jayoung was on King of the Masked Singer (Korean Competition show) and made it to the 3rd round. She's really talented. Her vocals on Azalea are amazing. Just be aware that the K-entertainment (rock/pop/drama) rabbit hole is pretty deep. :)

Thank you for the Rolling Quartz reaction. I recommend Azalea, Good Night, and Sing Your Hear out. These songs are not Rolling Quartz's original songs, but they will be good K-pop introductions for you.

I love these girls. Right now hands down the best band out of the east right now is Band Maid out of Japan. These girls are masters of their instruments. Check out their live official video for Hate?. From their 10th anniversary concert in Yokohama. They will blow you away with their talent. Band Maid, Rolling Quartz, Nemophila, Lovebites all badass female bands that rock.

Hello Miss Ray! I hope you are having a wonderful day! Thank you for reacting to Rolling Quartz, they do have a lot of great songs and are doing really well considering how saturated the Korean music scene is with pop music. A couple of other Korean rock bands are really good too, DIH (those are initials, not the name) and The Fix are the only two I can remember right now, I'm sure I'll think of more after I type this. One of the Japanese bands you reacted to live was Band Maid, and you seemed to really like them. Speaking of Band Maid, you should try their official live video of "Hate?" I think you will really like it, especially the lyrics. Please take care and have an amazing week.

My introduction to Rolling Quartz was their first single, "Blaze", that came out at the end of 2020. Amazing/fun song. Though, when it comes to Rolling Quartz, all of their videos are visually stunning. But, "Blaze" is definitely a song worth checking out.
And as far as other bands go, here are a few recommendations (all female-fronted, all European):
    Beyond the Black
    Visions of Atlantis
    Phantom Elite
    Enemy Inside
    Frozen Crown
    Couple of notes:
    1. Frozen Crown is the only one of the bunch that I haven't seen live.
    2. Beyond the Black is at the other end of the spectrum in that I've seen them 14 times live.
    3. Visions of Atlantis is the only one that I've seen live both in the US and in Europe.
    4. Based on everything in your channel, i don't believe that you have reacted to any of these bands...yet.
    5. Happy exploring.

I discovered these girls a few months ago. They have just brought out their second EP, Victory.
Oh and if you watch any of their other videos, one of the things I love is they are all trying to look so serious and moody, but Iree (the guitarist with red hair) is like "fuck that, I am here to be happy" and doesn't stop smiling.

      RQ discography:
      Blaze
      Fighting
      Hybrid
      Fearless
      ... and now includes Victory.
Blaze and possibly Fighting are now a bit difficult to get on physical media.

    • @caphowdy666
      @caphowdy666 Před 6 dny +2

@@PANIC_aka_PinD Blaze, Fighting and Hybrid were essentially just singles with only two tracks, or a bunch of alternate versions of the main song. Fearless can still be picked up easily on Amazon UK but it is hella expensive for a 2 track CD.
I was lucky enough to buy Fighting on CD back in Feb on Amazon UK.

Rolling Quartz is Korean. And also amazing. Rolling Quartz is best K-rock. Everything they've done is amazing. When they debuted with "Blaze" I thought it was the best new rock song I'd heard in around a decade... There's some other K-rock out there. I can also recommend Memi (her songs "Guitar Pick," "I don't give a," and "Hate U" are good). Babymetal is Japanese, not Korean, and there's a fairly large and (I've heard) quite good J-rock scene. I'm not, personally, all that familiar with it so I have no specific recommendations.
If you want something that's just... different, I can recommend "Otyken" (siberain) and "The Hu" (mongolian). Some Otyken songs you might consider checking out: "Phenomenon," "Smoke," "Legend," and "Pulse." My favorite song from The Hu is "Wolf Totem."
I can also recommend tons of Kpop, of particular note:
Dreamcatcher is very rock-and-roll for a Kpop Idol group, and they're also amazingly talented. Literally everything from Dreamcatcher is fantastic and I kinda recommend starting at the beginning with the Nightmare series ("Chase me," "Good Night," "You and I," "Fly High," "What," and "Piri")... but starting with something more recent is fine if you want to. I'm personally quite fond of "Vision," "Scream" is often a top recommendation by other Dreamcatcher fans. "Deja Vu" isn't really connected to their stoylines, so it's a nice intro to what their music is like if you don't want to jump into a trilogy.
I always recommend (G)I-dle. They're unique, being largely self-produced with the leader Soyeon usually being involved in the song-writing, composition, and arrangement. Minnie and Yuqi have also taken the lead on writing/producing a couple of their songs. Of (G)I-dle's most iconic songs, "Tomboy" is the most rock-and-roll. So I do recommend everything from (G)I-dle, but "Tomboy" is a great place to start.
PS: I think you might need to check out "Pink Drop" by Rolling Quartz, featuring Alexa.

Angry out... Sweaty man out... Need for aggression... Only on their instruments... The vocalist in this band is world class... Vocal range is slightly limited.. but her tone is top five in the world. But really the whole band is really good... The hidden gem is the blonde guitar player.. very diverse... And again ,you have to look hard but she's able to do....
