Tormach 8L Lathe Overview - An Affordable Workhorse

The Tormach 8L is a small form factor lathe that can fit into any shop. Whether it is in your garage, lab or classroom, the 8L provides an affordable and approachable lathe that allows any user to quickly machine parts without advanced CNC training.
Entrepreneurs can turn around their own prototypes without handing over a brilliant idea for another shop to make. The spindle range is from 180 to 5,000 rpm, and can use 5C collets or 3 or 4 jaw chucks.

What's the largest diameter that will pass through spindle if the 4 jaw is primarily used?

Can I use this to turn acrylic and/or resin and wood, if i may ask please?

Acrylic and resins are easily turned on the 8L lathe, but wood can cause some issues. Since the wood dust get abrasive when it mixes with the way oil, it could potentially damage components on the 8L during heavy use.
