- I have come up with a kit to be able to add Mini-T springs to you existing TRX shocks. This setup will get you to full droop and you can tune with springs that are included in the kit. Kits will include a set of Mini-T springs, 3D printed lower cup and a modded upper cup. If you have a competition rig with TRX shocks this kit is for you. Thanks for watching everyone.

Awesome kit and product man!! It really is a great option for the Traxxas GTS shocks. I know a ton of people run them on every rig they own. I will definitely be getting this kit for all the GTS shocks I have in the near future.

what mod you suggest at the beginning? I'm new to TRX4, mine shocks are stiff, dunno what to do with them I just hoped to see this in your video but you skipped it. Any links, name for that mod??

What does this exactly do? More droop means the rc sits lower? More droop means it gives more travel? It minimize the shock travel? Or jenerally it just sits a bit lower because of the short springs?
It does sit lower. Gives a lot more options for spring rates. Doesnt effect travel or maybe a half a mm. And i am out of them at the moment. Waiting on lower cups to get made.

Only used them for a short time. Now they come with delrin cups.

It would technically. But the issue would be when the shock extends all the way out the spring would be just sitting there.
Sorry, but I'm scratching my head as to figure out why would that be an "upgrade". You can also achieve a full droop (well, it's never completely full anyways) with the stock setup, or am I wrong? I don't get it. Sorry I'm just asking.

Mainly the idea is a better and easier spring rate change and adjustment. All the comp guys use Traxxas big bore shocks and I came up with a way to use a smaller shock body unit with this.

I was thinking the same thing... why not just spin the stock shock collars down to push the rods out for more droop... interesting...maybe it looks more scale to have the smaller springs and no shock collars?
There’s a couple of reasons to do this mod, one is getting a smaller diameter shock giving you more clearance on the chassis.(not having to use spacers/standoffs) secondly there are some killer spring options for the mini t springs. (Dlux fab) has more spring rates for finer tuning.

Gen 8 shocks are just as good, actually a little better, excellent droop👍
Dwayne Baker ehh. They are gen7 shocks. They will work but need work to make them great. There is a reason trx shocks are on lot of different manufacturers trucks.

It is. Just springs are not included anymore. Its listed under trx4 shock mod on the site. Im out of the lower caps right now. But they are in route.

Just like run'n harder tire foams in the rear so they don't collapse and flip you back...same with the springs/coils. I would've went mediums or hard in the rear.
Yeah The new truck will have hardly any weight in the back so I started with soft. That may change once its fully together, that what makes this kit nice. Its an easy swap to try out something different.

I have a 1st-gen D110 , a Sport and a D110 I bought from a buddy that I actually fixed-up for him....them a scratch-built TRX4 that's kinda like a Sport but with a 2-speed I put together with extra parts for my son.
My 1st-gen is the one I have all my time in....it's highly modded.
I cant wait to show you guys my new build. Its nothing special but im excited about it.

Yes. They are listed on the site right now. Sadly no springs come with them until i have a supply on springs.
What exactly is the advantage to this? It seems that losing all the threading adjustments in favor of only changing the springs for 3 options limits adjustments to only spring rates, without the ability to adjust ride height.
Because TRX4 springs are not soft enough. The mini T springs are as soft as you can get for circulation. These trucks are belly draggers or mostly cheater rigs so ride height is adjusted by moving shock positions on the multiple-position towers.
@@FarmerFpv You can get them in softer rates than stock.

Those still are not soft enough for slamming the rig down.
Are those mini t front or rear springs. Noticed on the site that you don't include them and replaced it with dlux fab spring in only 1 spring weight.
Yes. No more mini t springs. I no longer have a way to get them.
@@DixielandRC The mini t springs come in 2 sizes. Which one does this mock accommodate? The Losi mini front or the rear springs.
Its the pack with the pink springs. Only one has that.

Great looking mod, what’s the advantage of having the springs such a short length versus softer springs that fit over like the stock ones?
G3516dude length of the spring isnt really the issue. Its mainly for the tuning purpose of them. The softest traxxas spring still isnt soft enough in most cases. These mini t springs are also kind of in between the traxxas rates.
Thanks for the explanation, I currently have an Axial SCX10 2 and have put the soft ‘white’ springs on and am much happier with the suspension. I’m about to purchase a TRX4 sport and make it into a C2 comp rig, so will keep this mod in mind. I live in Australia - would you ship down under?

They are shock pliers. I usually keep them in stock. But Integy has gone crazy with their prices

This shock kit is a great upgrade for any rig to be honest, as long as you have TRX shocks to begin with

They are made by STRC. I can get in some for you guys if you want me to. I never really though folks wanted them to be honest so I never stocked them.

Scale Modeling USA yes. All these parts are brand new from both traxxas and Losi. Plus what i mod and the 3d printed part.

Love seeing all the butthurt comments about cost. If you can get the parts for so much less then purchase the parts and make them yourself... Time = money and I'm sure there has been alot of trial and error especially with the 3d printing. Shut up and go buy your parts from Ali or Amazon.
making someone buy more just to get a ccomplete set is kinda slimey. just sell eachc one full set and let people pick. and 40 is kinda steep.

Ahh. I see. Well losi only makes these in this pack. I have since this video found them individually. And thats whats offered now. You pick what springs you want. Also included is better lower spring cups.
