- Welcome back to the Cameron Highlands! In this video, we take a look at the nature side of CH by going for a walk through the Mossy Forest (Gunung Siku). This ancient forest offers incredible views of the valleys on either side, as you watch the clouds rush up one side of the mountain and down the other. Walking the boardwalk is truly magical and serene and it's something that should be experienced by everyone visiting Cameron Highlands. Join us and check it out for yourself.

I've watched tons of videos by CZcamsrs travelling in Malaysia, but I believe this is the first time I came across one that brings us to Mossy Forest. Its really beautiful. I wonder why its not better known. So underrated. But I guess that must also be a good thing...not being touristy/crowded.
We love exploring nature, hence we looked it up and found this place!
Beautiful forest, I loved the drone shots, really amazing 😃
Thank you 🙏🏼 ☺️ It was incredible walking through the forest.
I really was impressed with the drone shot on the cloud plus rainforest. Wow.
Thanks for taking risks and showing us your adventures. Love watching them but please do be safe!
No problem! We always try our best to stay safe wherever we go 😊
That drone shot is just marvelous....and the background music is outstanding....love it so much....what a beautiful view..

Aww guys, the drone + bg music is so epic too, thanks for taking time putting them together; really love it. I hope they could be longer or perhaps separate sections of drone shots in your travels. 😍😍😀
The drone shots are definitely one of our favourite parts of the videos too. It’s really cool seeing things from a different perspective that you don’t usually get to see.
Really enjoy this video guys. Thank you for bring us together travelling with you up to the spectacular Mossy Forest at the top of Cameron Highlands.
Good choice to be there since not many tourists or vloggers been to the nice natural green forest especially Mossy. As for me, you are the 1st one I've watched to. Really amazing spot to be explored.
Enjoy your travel guys.. ✌😀🇲🇾w❤

Thank you Jason! We really try to make these videos unique and as high quality as possible with the time we have. We’re always really happy to hear positive and encouraging feedback. 😊 🙏🏼

Thank you! We’re so happy to hear your are loving the videos.🙏🏽😊
Epic flight! Beautiful area!
Thanks and welcome back to another video 😊
Whoaaa!
You have captured among the most spooky images of the iconic Malaysian jungle. Creepy none the less! 😳
It’s such a cool forest! Definitely one of, if not the coolest forest we’ve ever got the chance to walk through.
Just in time as i am going there next week with the kids. Been to Cameron many times, and this time kids should be able to walk by themselves😉. The drone view was outstanding. Keep show us more.
We’re sure your kids will love it! It’s a great place to go for families, since the “hike” isn’t too intense.
♥️ your vlog especially your drone shot and background music is really marvellous.
Thank you so much, we try very hard! ❤️
My favourite Park is mulu national Park & Niah national Park. Both in Sarawak (East Malaysia)
& Bako National Park, Kuching, Sarawak.
Unfortunately we were not able to visit the east side this time around, but hopefully on our next visit to Malaysia we’ll check it out!
Yep a challenge to vietnam's caves
We honestly love caves, so the more we can discover, the better 😆
I LOVE VIDEO AND BEAUTIFULL
THANKS YOU SO MUCH
Thank you for watching! We’re happy to hear you enjoy it 😊 🙏🏼
The drone shot was epic!
Thank you 🙏🏼 We love the way it turned out too 😊
did not expected to meet both of you in Malacca, in excitement I forgot to take picture with you both 😢😍😀 love your vlogs... hope you enjoy Malaysia
Awe! Thank you so much, so wonderful meeting you too. We’ll be on Jonker Street tomorrow evening, filming. If we run into you again, we can get our pictures then😊🙏
Thanks for the great video! Really appreciate it. I think the mossy forest permit was just implemented recently only
Thank you for watching ❤️🙏🏽
Thank you for taking me along... visually at least. As I wouldn't be able to go experience this for myself otherwise cos of acrophobia. The place looks amazing and I could almost smell the freshness of the air there thanks to your awesome video. It was an informative video too. Value added +++
No problem! We’re so happy to hear you loved it!
Thanks a lot for the nice vid. I feel like touring there.
Thank you for watching 🙏🏽❤️
Just to remind you guys..before you go to jungle or forest park around in Malaysia makesure you must go to Police station to do report just incase something happen or others wise please ask local people to be with you guys..just for you safety..#loveuguys..
That only if you hiking in the non commercial forest side with full of wild animal. This is just a mossy forest and you dont gave wrong information if you dont know it.
Thanks for the tip! We never considered that, and we didn’t know. Also, thank you for watching 😊 🙏🏼
@@authahmad3737 Not really, I think with the current happenings with changing of climate, best for any new tourist trying to hike highlands or forest or even waterfall to at least inform the police station or hotel administration they staying in, so that in case of emergency , at least somebody will know these tourist whereabout.
Good Vlogg again Zae & Attila. Happy you were safe and enjoyed it! Hope you get to enjoy and experience as many parts of Malaysia as you can. You seem to always be in a rush though.
Before we go to any country, we always have an itinerary planned of places we want to visit. We also have a limited time in each country. Usually 1 month maximum. We also need to film the videos and edit them, which takes a very long time. Editing alone will usually take 10-12 hours for a video, so we need to take those days off 😊. There’s definitely a lot that goes into it behind the scenes that our viewers don’t see. We put out videos every 2 days, so we really don’t get to take any days off. Maybe we will make a video on our process one day if you guys are interested 😊!
@@AttilaAndZae Why don't you outsource you video editing and enjoy more time in your travel. Just my suggestion.
It’s definitely not a bad suggestion, but Attila likes to have control over the video editing and the quality of the videos. Cost is also a factor, because getting a good quality video editor would be too costly. We can’t afford to spend any extra money then we’re spending at this time. Possibly in the future once our channel grows.
nice mossy forest walk tour experience.
Thank you Nik 🙏🏼 We’re happy to hear you enjoyed it.
as a Malaysian I have mixed feeling about this discovery… i have never heard of Mossy Forest (ashamed) and feeling proud at the same time to welcome you guys exploring this national scenic & beauty attraction!
You are our eyes and ears indeed 😍🥰🤩
Where have you been? 🤔🤣🤣
Thank you so much Mr T 😊. We’re happy to introduce you to this beautiful location. No need to feel ashamed, but hopefully you can visit it and discover it for yourself in person one day! Thanks for watching 🙏🏼
the mossy forest was there all these years, but it was closed to the public for a few years I think
@@AttilaAndZae highly recommend few others mountains in Malaysia :
1. Mt KK, Sabah (4,095M) : highest mountain in Borneo and Malaysia
2. Mount Ophir (1,276M) : Mount Ledang is a mountain in the Gunung Ledang National Park located in Tangkak District, Johor, Malaysia.
Thats a beutiful shots.
Thank you 🙏🏽
Thanks Atilla and Zae for bringing us to Mossy Forest, i've never had the chance to explore the forest although i am Malaysian, most important you guys are brave's enough to pass by the road to Mossy entrance by walking..good job!! you guys should stay longer in Malaysia perhaps can meet with other experiences travelers like Jetlag Warriors, they are Canadian too...can't wait to watch your next video...
We heard that the Jetlag Warriors are here, but unfortunately we’ve already bought our plane tickets to go to our next couple of countries, so we have limited time and we also need to follow the itinerary we have planned out. We’re happy to hear that you’re enjoying the videos and we appreciate you watching 😊.
@@AttilaAndZae Steve & Ivana are so well-blended with many Malaysians..hope you love to be like them too, someday maybe..😀👍
Fun facts. The real life James Bond Denis Emerson Elliot lived in Cameron Highlands for several years and the Thai silk king and American Intelligence agent Jim Thompson 'went for a walk' in Cameron highlands and disappeared never to be seen again.
Those are fun and interesting facts indeed! Thank you for sharing them with us Jay 😊.
THOSE DRONE SHOTS ARE BOMB! 🌟
They look pretty good 😌 We’re happy to hear you enjoyed watching.
I think I bumped into the both of you on this walk! Was with my parents & asked you guys how long the walk is! Lovely video you’ve posted😁
We remember that! Thank you so much! We hope you guys enjoyed your time at the mossy forest! 😊
Had to say, the background is on point! Am local but never knew this place, thanks for this discovery! Do visit Sabah if you guys plan to enjoy good beaches/islands (Sipadan Island) & heaven of cheap fresh seafoods. Enjoy your stay 🤍
Thanks for the recommendation 😊. We’re happy we could show you a nice place you didn’t know about.
Thanks so much for this and all other videos! You guys are so cute and so simple, it's refreshing. I am in the process of finishing my PhD, which has been a very difficult journey, and am planning to visit Malaysia after I complete my PhD in September as a reward to myself. I keep seeing videos of Malaysia to motivate myself and finish work and truly, seeing your videos has been so motivating for me. Makes me want to finish as soon as I can so as to enjoy the Mossy forest asap. Thank you so much! Will surely be buying you guys a cup of coffee :)
We’re so incredibly happy to hear that we’re able to motivate you like that. That actually motivates us as well 😊. We’re wishing you success with your PhD, and we hope you enjoy your trip to Malaysia. You’re going to love the Mossy Forest.
@@AttilaAndZae Thank you so much! :D Wish you safe and fulfilling travels!
Wow🥺🥺🥺
If capture during sunset would be amazing picture..so mesmerizing
Would’ve been beautiful to see during sunset 🌅
you are super brave to fly the drone above the dense forest... good shots too that we can see the side ends of the clouds..
It’s funny that you mentioned this, our drone wouldn’t land at one point because it thought it was in the clouds 😂 we made it happen tho!
@@AttilaAndZae Wait, so the drone could recognise if a place would be good for landing? Is that some AI technology?
The drone has a lot of sensors and smart features to be able to see and avoid obstacles and to know where it should land.
Wow.... You've entered a weird forest with breathtaking sights.
I can't imagine what it would be like if you were in the middle of the forest and came across something strange.
What kind of strange thing? 😱 😳 It was reading nice and relaxing walking through the mossy forest though, and we enjoyed it a lot 😊
Can't believe u guys from Windsor... I'm Malaysian live in lasalle
We definitely are from Windsor 😆! Some of our friends live in LaSalle so we would go there frequently too.
You both deserve an award for producing such an outstanding and informative video. It's like watching a National Geographic production. Lol 😜
Thank you so much for that incredible compliment! That means a lot, because we work extremely hard to produce these videos. 🙏🏼 😊
Now this jungle Will be close for upgrade And open back after.. government of Malaysia spend rm450k for this project...... Keep it up guys...... Tq for review our part of Malaysia .. Not many Malaysians know this jungle😅...
More locals and tourists should find out about this place, it’s so beautiful 😍
As malaysian. I never know about this place since i dont like high place. So thanks for bring me here 🌹
We’re happy you could join us virtually! 😊
Wow, Jurassic forest
That’s the perfect way to describe it!! It would have been nice to be able to continue to hike off the path!
Barbed wire is to avoid wild animals from crossing over and harming the visitors..e.g. wild boar, monkeys 🐒, etc.. jungle creatures.
Nice video. Thumbs up.
That’s something we didn’t necessarily think about, but that’s an excellent point. Thanks for watching and your comment 😊
Your welcome. Enjoy your stay in sunny Malaysia.
Please recommand to your friends and ask them come and visit to MALAYSIA..TQ
We definitely will! All our friends are watching the videos and they’ll see all the beauty Malaysia has to offer.
💐💐💐
Guys d next place u have to check out is Genting Highland....it's so so entertaining place plus there's a casino....weather much colder then Cameron Highland...45 minutes drives from K.L
Unfortunately we don’t think we’ll be able to check it out this time, but there’s always next time 😊
Nice 😊☺️☺️☺️
Thank you 😊
I've been there early this month, entering mossy forest now need guided by tour center, because the road before guard house is private property and after the guard house, if anything happen to your car or you is at your own risk. Rescue mission will be pay by your own
Used to go up there a lot of times to mossy forest before they started to charge entrance fee to visitors. Driving with your own car to the top was also an adventurous things to do back then. Haven't been up there since they implemented the new rulings.
Thank you so much!! 🙏🏽😊❤️
8:56 i like drone view from here... woooowwww2
There’s some stunning views from the Mossy Forest, we had such a great time 😊
If you can continue your hiking beyond the end gate of Mossey Forest there is where the actual magical and gems of mossey forest begin..it call Mossey Forest of Irau Mountain...
We will definitely do that next time we visit!
as Malaysian i never been to mossy forest .its...soo beautiful. my suggestion go & visit maxwell hill also..
You should definitely go check it out in person if you have the opportunity 😊 It’s amazing 🤩!
@@AttilaAndZae i will.
Enjoy guys and take care :)
Thank you, Narathsa 🙏
😍😍😍😍😍😍😍
There's a huge risk, just 2or 3 days ago, 2 lose their lives in a phenomenon called 'kepala air' together with a landslide... Just keep a head up, and be aware of the surrounding sounds
Wow! We did not know about that. We always try to be careful and like you said, to pay attention and keep our heads up for any dangers. Thank you for watching and your wonderful comment ☺️ 🙏🏼
@@AttilaAndZae What Ashtriana Hamzah refers to "a phenomenon called 'kepala air' " is a water surge that could come down a slope following a torrential rain. More than a week ago around the area of Cameron Highlands, two female hikers were swept down a slope by a surge of water following a torrential rain. They did not survive. They came in a group but got separated . The rest managed to save themselves.
That’s absolutely scary and so sad 😞. May they rest in peace.
❤️
❤️
I'm always wanted to see a forest in Europe and USA. I still remember when I'm watching Harry Potter and Vampire drama stuff, the forest look so different and magical to me.
We’ve seen some amazing forests all over the world!
8:00 Nabati is Indonesia product
Such a beautiful place right? =)
It’s an incredible place and we loved it 😊
Go for gunung kinabalu sabah malaysia
Hai guys..just beware land slides can happen anytimes during havey rain so just be alert everytime..#takecare
Thank you so much 🙏🏼 We definitely try to be as careful as possible and pay attention to our surroundings 😊.
Thanks for the videos! They are very timely because I will go to Malaysia next month!
Btw, have you seen a Rafflesia or a Malayan Tapir while in Malaysia? Stay safe!
You can try to search for the rafflesia if you go to the kinabalu Park in sabah or Royal belum in perak, you can even ask around Cameron... As for Malayan Tapir, if you drive through the Puncak alam road or stay in that area you could possibly see them but you can always go to the zoo
@@ashtriana1 Terima kasih! It would be nicer to see them in the wild but I think even going to Taman Negara will make them rare finds.
Thank you for the tips!
@@abeldpb1851 yeah the Malayan Tapir maybe a rare find, but nowadays since the big flood of December last year many roam out of the jungles into the residential park nearby... My cousin live Bandar tasik puteri rawang says sometimes they came out at night, usually once a week they will have a sighting.. There even a video of them strolling through...
We haven’t really seen many animals in Malaysia. Definitely no tapir, although it would be cool to see one in person 😊. We hope you’re enjoying the videos!
@@ashtriana1 Ok noted. This is really helpful. Thank you Asean sister! 🇲🇾🤝🇵🇭

One of Zae’s favourite foods is chocolate 🍫😂
do not explore only scenery in Malaysia, you guys need to explore and experience street foods of Malaysia, Next level!
Yes 🙌🏼 We will definitely try lots of food 😊.
Don’t forget to stay hydrated guys. It’s already “summer” in Malaysia. The humidity is crazy.
Oh we have been feeling the heat and drinking plenty of water! 🌞
In 1990 I was working in chl plan to on our jeep it was slipper a waste I did not make an effort to go
👍👍👍😎
😀🙏🏽
are there no grab car available in Cameron?
Where does the gate at the end of the broadwalk lead too? is it Mt Irau?
We’re not too sure, more into the forest we believe.
yes, it leads to Mt Irau
Usually there's a landslide, if a day before heavy rains.. it that day is hot, should be ok :)
Yeah, everything was ok 👌🏼. We were also careful and attentive while hiking 😊. Thanks for watching Haizam 🙏🏼
@@AttilaAndZae Doing a safe activity is normally safe, unless the unsafe act comes from a fellow human who might perform a criminal act. A landslide of great magnitude that could cause severe damage and lives is rare in this country.. What you might see is a landslip, not landslide.
the actual mossy forest would take about 8 hours round trip of trekking. need to book the date in advance from the forestry department if i am not mistaken. that 8 hours view is thousand times better than the 'boardwalk mossy forest'.
We bet 😊 This was still a really nice preview however. Especially if you don’t have time to do the arrangements and 8 hour hike.
Hi just wanna ask is it far to reach the deck?
Do you mean the entrance of the forest? It was a 30minute walk from the barricade.
Because too much rain. Landslides happen really often there and sometimes flooding too
Super awesome drone shots. One think I need to highlight is that your currency conversion is inaccurate. The entrance RM30 is ard USD7 not 10. And check your conversion for other stuffs too. That aside, really enjoyed your videos
We are Canadian, so we are saying the prices in CAD. We’re glad to hear you enjoyed the video and the drone shots! Such a beautiful place 😊
And he mentioned riels(cambodia)..instead of ringgit. Lol.
That was my mistake 😂 Too much travelling has me mixing up the currencies.
@@AttilaAndZae i spent more than 2 years in winnipeg doing university there. So cold

@@AttilaAndZae Thank you, i,m fine, had a good talk with Attilas dad yesterday, glad to hear he,s improving too. Enjoy travel, life and be good.
Still, for safety reasons I think it’s best not to encourage people to walk up on their own. I mean there’s a lot of “what if” can happen in split seconds. The thing to note also with the road conditions and it’s up on hill/mountain it can be a challenge for rescue team to get to your location if just anything happen -touch wood- Always best to be respectful to the nature especially if you’re in forest, mountain etc.
That is all true 😊
You guys still here? I stay in Tanah Rata
No, we are back in KL now!

That is if you don't mind flying over to check out a different part of Malaysia (the part many "stopover tourists" usually give a miss 😆).
The mossy jungle is a nice place to hike... it's cool and breathtaking.
We will be coming back to Malaysia in the future to check that part out, but unfortunately our time in Malaysia is coming to an end now.
The real James Bond used to lived in Cameron Highland
That’s super cool! We had no idea 😊
The Mossy Forest really does look like scene from The Lord of the Rings, doesn't it?
