now i know a lot more what i did wrong with my ts1 lambretta 25 years ago, there was not lot experience this time in austria....i thin i need a ts1 again....thank you a lot for getting aware of this urgent need again with your videos....
You could cross drill the cyclinder head fins to increase the flow rate across the head, like a swiss cheese labrinth, some of the older makers did this for racing.
good point about the hot air hitting the carb, i have just fitted a lth left hand manifold to my ts1,wasn,t cheap but great quality,so should cure this problem, only reason i went with this manifold was i had a cut out in l/h side panel and a battery tray, also i didnt have to alter cabling,so was less hassle to fit this than alter everything, so a bonus having the carb on the cooler side,i will be carrying out the fan and head cowling mods when i get chance, keep up the good work always informative videos
COOL 👍 what did you say that bib was made from ste , its a great idea m8 , never even thought about that before , heat from the cylinder straight onto the carb warming up fuel before it enters the cylinder and thats a never decreasing circle , great COOLING tip m8
its just made from the first thing that i found in the garage . just soft rubber with a fabric backing just cut to shape and put a hole in it so it slides on the back of the carb . keeps it cool and keeps some shit off aswell mate .
Hi steve great videos as always, am fitting an external condenser and was wondering were is the coolest place to put it under the panels on the lambretta if there is such a thing. 😆

The matting that you use behind the carb, is it heat resistance at all?
