We have recently found ourselves balancing on the edge of CZcams's guidelines. This means that some weeks our work is left unpaid when CZcams says the videos are too wild for advertisers. This situation may work if it’s a one-man side hustle, but when we are a team of six people whose paychecks depend on it, it's not sustainable in the long run.
That's why we launched a brand-new Patreon campaign! For as little as 3 USD per month, you can support the channel and help us keep the series going independently without external interests. Check out the perks and our new patron-only Discord Server here: www.patreon.com/whambaam
Please note that the content will always be free for everyone on CZcams. However, if you feel that you would like to support the show during this new Adpocalypse, that would be very much appreciated. Your support would mean a lot to us, and it would help us keep the team going.

Number 11 - "Tyler was reaching in the back seat for something...." - and thats why he nearly rammed the back of a car, yes the other car was in the wrong but he would have seen and avoided it in plenty of time. How late he reacted leads me to think he wasnt looking forward till the last second. Thats why accidents happen because people seem they cannot wait or pull over before fluffing around inside their car
yea you’re not wrong, for the record I am the cammer in this clip. When I submitted the video i stated it was clearly my fault for not realizing this and my fault for being distracted. Just don’t want anybody to tear my name up for that. I did make a mistake but am happy I avoided it. I love this channel and appreciate their process, but i really wish they would listen to the full story submitted. I even said that an additional note would be to tell others not to be driving distracted. For the whole record, yes I was being careless. Don’t be like me . I’m a human though I make mistakes
@@user-st7do3st5r Thank you for sharing this learning experience with us.
@@user-st7do3st5r as long as we are learning from our "learning moments" I think thats good! I remember the first time i realized the pointlessness of really just any distraction of any kind over 0mph
@user-st7do3st5r For future learning, never swerve to avoid an accident, just slam on your breaks, and if you still hit the car, that's better than swerving out of your lane, into another lane and hitting another vehicle like the ambulance. We all been there making stupid mistakes driving, but sometimes those mistakes will cost us our lives. The only time you swerve to avoid something is if it's a moose crossing the street.
For the Tesla, a blinker doesn’t give you right away. It’ll probably be ruled 50/50 due to the amount of space
100%
But he shut the blinker off before he did the lane change. So he is 100% at fault
The tesla had rite of way just because u put signal doesn’t give u rite of way
@@79billmack And the right of way, means no need to try and avoid a hit by slowing down, right? Logic, no where to be found.
@@dalematrick8753 The Tesla still has an obligation to avoid an accident and can be deemed 100% at fault. There was plenty of room and slow speeds.
This channel is the main reason i got a dashcam. its not a fancy high quality one but it works.
Same here, got one that records in 4k. Overkill, but I need that detail.
6:07 Definitely the Acura's fault as legally you must yield to any and all existing traffic in the lane.
Tesla probably didn't even see the turn signal due to the A pillar blind spot.
Not only this, but the turn signal was on for maybe one full second before the Acura attempted the lane change. 100% at fault.
3 whole blinks, and not keeping the turn signal on during the whole merge.
@@its420everydayhere true, but the Tesla driver had plenty of time to slow down anticipating what could happen but seems like they wernt even watching the next lane. When im going past slow or stopped lane of traffic im always watch each car ahead ready to stop if needed
At the speeds involved the Tesla had plenty of time to stop to avoid a collision as well as there was room for the lane change. Tesla would be found 100% at fault.
@@Sprchgjeep Thank you, finally someone with common sense!!! You should do everything you can to prevent an accident, in this case driver of Tesla was distracted(most likely) and autopilot failed!
Ben,
I just want to say thank you. I've converted from Mega Driving School to the Church of Wham Bamm!
I love that the videos here are (generally) much higher quality and the narrations keep me from have to pause every 30 seconds to read some long-winded description. Keep the videos coming!
Literally same. Still watch mega though
Ben does not run the channel, wham baam does, Ben's the voice over of the channels, so thank them BOTH for their tine
Agree 💯
Agree wham bamm channels are my favorite. Keep up the good work.
I love Wham Baam and Idiots in Cars because they're two different things. Wham Baam is stories which I like but IiC has no narration or captioning at all
@5:58 The ambulance driver was paying attention and was already moving into the lane to the right (not shown on camera but the angles work for that). If all (or even MOST) drivers would pay attention like that, I am guessing 80% of accidents would never happen. Kudos to the driver. Absolutely AWESOME way to drive....
#5 The first question that popped into my head was wondering if the cammer had his headlights on in that rain. If you don't turn them on in the rain, snow, or fog, you're just asking to be cut off, and are as much at fault as the vehicle that cut you off. Maybe more.
That and the submitter spent way too much time in the truck's blind spot.. This is more important in inclement weather as their outside mirrors are in the elements and less effective than in dryer conditions.
@@Shododaan that truck has 2 side mirrors the second one is to look at their blind spot (usually) the pickup should’ve honk to alert the truck and not honk after it all finished, or just slow down and not put their kid’s life on the line
I know I’m late to the party, but just gotta say: It’s illegal in all 50 US states if you DON’T put your headlights on during poor visibility (rain, snow, fog, etc.). I remember from drivers ed almost 20 years ago “wipers on, lights on. Bad sight, turn on the light.” Even my Hyundai does it automatically if it’s raining!
KAVEH I can't agree more with you. Please ALWAYS stop if you see an accident. As a witness you can help out a lot and barely anyone will get mad at you for being late.
If people might be injured it's even less probable
You don’t understand some jobs then.. maybe an office job won’t care but a lot of jobs only give you so much time to take off before you are fired.. or even if you come in late and use your time they will fire for you that as well.. a job is more important then some random person you won’t see again.. if you as the camera man want to help you can easily stop by a police station and give a statement that you seen an accident and noticed you recorded it when you got home
pretty sure the Acrua was at fault there. They flashed their signal, but then stopped it, implying they were no longer switching lanes.
plus, you cannot merge unless it is entirely safe or the other driver yields for you. 100% the acuras fault
The car that hit Josh already had front driver's side damage. Serial collider, probably ran before too.
1:38 I loved watching that truck give its driver a wild ride.
Yeah, what kind of idiot tries to pass when there's a hill up ahead? You don't know what might be coming over it. It's the same with curves. I live in a rural area and there's a lot of dotted lines for passing, but I never do it unless I can see all the way down the road and know there isn't another car coming in my direction anytime soon.
In the possible Tesla behaving badly, I believe the Acura driver is fully at thought because in some states you must have your turn signal blinking at least three times before making a lane change and in that clip you can see it only blink twice. Also using your turn signal does not automatically give you the right of way. Something else I notice is the Tesla driver didn't break until well after the accident had already occurred which may have been caused by them being distracted placing them partly at fault.
Tyler, in avoiding an accident, you almost caused another one.
And all because he was getting something out of the back seat instead of watching where he is going.
@@slacko1971 yup, which is why clearly in my submission I told them to tell people I was distracted and being stupid, I’ll never make a mistake like this again but to be honest, I wish this channel broadcasted more of what the submitters tell in the story instead of shortening it for more dramatic effect. Honestly the narrator should’ve torn me up for that I really wish he had
0:57 that guy deserves a huge ticket for being so reckless. I hope his premiums at least sky rocketed.
Not only was it an unsecured load, it was sticking out way past the rear bumper with no flags of any kind
I hate traveling near trucks like that. When it's safe to do so I'll speed up to get around them. Yrs ago my ex BIL lost a friend because someone lost part of their load on the freeway. He got hit by a pole that went flying into his windshield. One second he was here the next he was gone. So sad...
I have successfully pulled drivers over when their loads are insecure. I purposely go to the dollar store and buy cheap ratchet straps specifically to give them away while I help prevent issues like this. I have always got a few, not to mention a fair selection of wires, connectors, light bulbs, and even a few of the more common sockets. Amazing what can be fixed with a few basic hand tools.
4:46
Something tells me Jerome doesn’t know a thing about cars. 😂
"Clearly a case of the whatcha-macall-it" lol
The added commentary on this channel really makes all the difference - compared to other dashcam channels with their copy/paste same vids and "text added"™
This by far is one of the stand outs that are worth watching, all the best on patreon!
9:36 Good job Crystal. A lot of drivers think that having the right of way automatically makes it safe from stupid so they just keep on driving oblivious to their surroundings. Those 3-5 seconds when she stopped saved her time, money, physical and emotional damage among others.
8:46 This is why many states require that you turn on your headlights in rain and fog. Trucks can't see you in the rain... especially if you have a silver, gray, or black car. Wipers on? Headlights on!
Some cars turn on the full headlights as soon as the wipers are turned on.
2:30 This is one of the reasons Stroads are dangerous.
6:30--There is a legal concept known as the last clear chance to avoid an accident. It states that if a driver has a clear chance to avoid an accident and doesn't, they may be held responsible for all the damages that happen next. All in all, it depends on what the Tesla Driver was doing at the time of the accident.
someone watches Ugo Lord!
Ehh, in this case he may not have seen the other driver if he was focusing on the slower traffic ahead. He even attempted to steer to the left but there were cars in the other lane. I don’t think this would apply to this accident. I have seen plenty of accidents where the “not at fault” driver intentionally causes a very avoidable accident just because they have the right of way but this doesn’t look like that. Even then, usually they are held 50/50 responsible in terms of insurance payouts.
@5:50 ,at least the ambulance 🚑 would have been there quickly
Good advice for anyone in a small car that can't see over other vehicles, NEVER turn left (Or right if you are from one of those areas) across multiple lanes where cars can travel, I got hit on my motorcycle by someone doing this in traffic, haven't been able to ride since last June when it happened, I broke my left leg and I need that to ride. I also drive a manual, so I was swapping trucks with my dad since his tacoma is an automatic. It doesn't matter if a vehicle flashes their lights to let you turn, if you can't CLEARLY see the other lane, don't turn. I do it all the time in my truck because I am higher than most of the other vehicles and can see what is coming, and if I am faced with an suv/minivan I won't turn, because it blocks my view enough that I'm not comfortable with it. Drive safe everyone
One thing that i did before going on my first vacation was to find out what you could and not in traffic in Orlando. Never had any problem in traffic on our vacations over the years. And there are sign at every intersection that tels you what is allowed
greetings from Oslo,Norway
The Acura should be at fault... 2 flashes of your signal light is not enough FURTHER MORE you can't change lanes until it is safe to do so.
This video is a clear example of why road rage can be deadly.
Wham Baam dashcam really IS the best dashcam show 👍🏻
Thank you for more great clips 😊 Happy Friday 🥤
That's the acura's fault, no turn signal was on and there was plenty of space.
stepped up my dashcam game by getting a new front and rear system from watching this channel more
I Love watching your videos because it helps me learn how to drive like a smart person
I’ve lived in Panama City for 6 years keep up the great work!
It would be a good idea to include which model dash camera the submitters were using
l love watching wham baam dashcam videos
acura definately at fault in that situation as an indicator is only there to show you are planning to move, it does not give you right of way. the tesla should really have let the acura merge but i believe the acura is at fault in that situation
6:25 - I think in most states, this would be considered an Unsafe Lane Change. So the Acura would be at fault.
The Tesla didn't have to let the Acura in and I don't think the Tesla could have safely allowed it to happen anyway.
6:25 I saw somebody use the two front tires argument from a whaam baam teslacam video, and I think the same thing can be argued here. Acura is mostly at fault but the Tesla is partially at fault due to the last clear chance doctrine. The Acura was forcing themselves in and the Tesla tried preventing them from making a safe lane change even though they were already established in the lane. Probably 80 on the Acura, 20 on the Tesla.
Time to start sending hundreds of cycle cam videos to Wham Baam a month
Oh yea, once your steering thing-a-ma-bobber goes, that’s a real hassle
It really was 😂 $7500 and three weeks later, steering and body are all better
@@JeromeW-ju1tx daaaang, that’s a lot of money. But at least it’s all better now lol
I love this CZcams channel!
@3:40 If someone pulls in front of you, Don't steer in the same direction they're going. If the driver had gone to the right, a collision could have been avoided.
just, discovered your channel; almost, immediately, subscribed. I knew I'd made the correct decision, when you said, "median", as opposed to, "meridian." You can't believe how much that error shocks/annoys me.
"The impact turned his nissan leaf and Sent it somewhere it had never been before, into a gas station"😭😭😭
This was the best episode yet..... Because our video was on it!
My kids absolutely loved hearing their names in the shoutout; my daughter was jumping on the couch shouting about how her name was on tv!
Another amazing video. I’m always satisfied
acura driver was at fault due to not using turn signals
Love this!
there is also a "thing a madoodle" but its not to be confused with "a thing a majig"
Acura is at fault. Tesla was in control of the lane
If look closely at 0:17 you see the car that ran the red light has been in an accident
You'd be surprised how many times I've seen people who turn into the oncoming lane because of dual turning lanes etc
Especially when the intersection is dim or whenever the traffic in the turning lane is empty.
I've done it once when running out to grab take away. It was the other person at home turn to go out but I was forced to. I was hangry distracted driving and I failed to notice it myself. How embarrassing was that for me
It was a good example to show my children how mistakes happen but to learn from them. Good thing it wasn't an accident
I live near a place that has many 3 lane turning areas.. and people in the straight only lane think they can turn all the time.. it even happens in places that only have 2 lanes turning left 🤦🏻♂️ I always watch people around me and have them be slightly in front of me so if I notice them starting to come into my lane I can try and go slower to avoid them… it’s crazy how many people don’t pay attention while on the road… and it’s from all walks of life 🤦🏻♂️
6:20 I think it's 70/30. The Acura has to yield to traffic when changing lanes. They also had the space to speed up if they really felt compelled to squeeze in anyways, and had they sped up there would've been no accident.
However, the Telsa driver is clearly either not paying attention or has a huge fragile ego because he had more than enough time to notice the lane change, and react and slow down, and he could've slowed down gently too, no need to slam the brakes. The accident was clearly avoidable on their part as well.
10:26 If y'all ever actually start a "Wham Baam Cyclecam" channel, I have a number of other clips of silly car shenanigans, close calls with other bicycles, animals, and near collisions with cars. I'd be down to submit those, but I don't want to potentially clog up your dashcam team's time and channel with cycling content.
Maybe something like a pedestrian cam that includes clips of skateboarders, bicyclists, scooter riders, etc.?
Just got done watching a different video I wanna start turning in videos but in the state I live in I have to have permission from all parties involved
Depends really. If it's in the USA, and the vids were in public you do not need other people's permission.
There is absolutely no expectation of privacy in public, period.
Some people mix this up with the laws passed protecting people's rights in private, or in a private conversation. Then yes, you must have other's permission if I there's a private conversation. If it's a private conversation in a vehicle you can just mute the conversation before using the video.
But as for video's recorded while in public? Absolutely no expectation of privacy in public. The constitution literally protects your rights, and states them clearly.
It was a conversation in the car isn’t insurance
Yes I agree with you 100% dashcam should be mandatory in every car just not new ones
Yes, Dash cam should be mandatory on all cars from the factory. People who do Hit and run’s have a special place in hell reserved for them
IQ testing should be mandatory before a license is ever issued. That would solve a lot of the problems on the roads.
@@Procrastinator1948 I completely agree
The problem with having a high IQ is that some of these genius' are only book smart and have no common sense.
Dash cams are as cheap as $40 for decent ones and they'll very likely more than pay for themselves eventually
8:46 that is everyone’s worst nightmare
Fun fact: when getting rear-ended or in almost, if not all, crash, it's usually "suddenly".
I finally got a dashcam and rear camera installed in my grandad's SUV yesterday.
Bought a Cobra dash cam from Best Buy for 180$ simple and easy setup. There are thousands of different brands to choose from out there, it's great buy!!
The Acura is at fault, your blinker is a request not a right of passage, but that doesn't excuse the Tesla driver for being rude.
I like how in the 19th one you caught 2 garbage trucks
That bed had enough of being in that truck
0:48 looks like the red light runner was either a bad driver or running from someone. Already had damage on the front bumper
Hey Ben, when you say that you don't have a lot of clips from bikers to create a whole channel dedicated to it, that got me thinking. Maybe for a little bit you should keep them on the dashcam side of things or once in a while release a compilation of all the cyclist cams. Because I live in Arizona and a lot of the drivers here don't know how to drive and I have tons of clips from people just being idiots. I almost got hit yesterday by this lexus that wanted to make a right turn while I was going straight so they decided to speed up to try and go in front of me but ended up not being able to make the turn since I was already there. I would love to share my clips.
Please send them in!
#20, the driver who hit Josh N., you can see that car already has damage on the corner on the corner below the head light. Apparently that driver has been in accidents before and is really a bad driver and to do a hit and run, tells you that person is irresponsible and most likely doesn’t have a drivers license, or insurance. They probably aren’t even suppose to drive. Unfortunately, there’s too many people who are on the road and aren’t suppose to drive but they still risk it. If you don’t want to go to jail, be responsible.
YAY new video
number 20 is in hayward california in front of Winton Middle School
$18,000 in damage is par for the course. If you had to replace a whole car in parts, it would cost over $1,000,000, and leave you with a storeroom full of parts. A spare tire cover costs $700!!
For #10, It’s not 100% either way. Both drivers are at fault. The Acura made an unsafe lane change and would be found partially at fault. As for the Tesla, there is something called ‘the last clear chance’ to stop or avoid an accident and the Tesla had plenty of time to react making them also liable. It will most likely be 50/50
As a truck driver myself, I can tell you that the car driver might have been in one of the blind spots. We do have some pretty big blind spots so please pass us quickly and safely.
When ppl complain bout scratches when you get scratches everytime your on the road through dust
I remember I was driving to the mall in my Nissan Sylphy (a sedan that is also known as the "Sentra"). I had to stop at a red light, so i did. Then a police car was on a right turn lane and made a u-turn on the lane when the light was red also. And making a u-turn on that lane was illegal.
8:50, if you’re passing to pass, PASS. Only an idiot meanders by at 1mph faster than the truck.
Exactly how hard is it to be considerate of semis on the road
@@boostedsc4040 it’s INCREDIBLY easy. But people act like they will be tortured relentlessly for the rest of their lives if they are behind a truck.
For clip 10, the acura is at fault. Blinkers dont give you right of way. The acura might be able to argue the tesla had the oppertunity to avoid the accident and didnt take it , but considering the bliker just flashed 3 times and wasnt on while they made the lane change its likely the acura will be at 100% fault.
3:02 imagine blasting through a lane with 2 lanes of traffic backed up and being upset you hit someone because you're a careless idiot. This is why poor people should not drive
3:00 rightfully so but he’s still partially at fault for their unsafe speed for the traffic conditions
Looking at getting a dash cap what do you recommend?
@3:18 🎵🎶you picked a fine time to leave me loose wheel 🎵
it's the Acura's fault because they turned off their blinker after 1 sec, so the Tesla thought they weren't gonna merge and kept going. The Acura made an unsafe lane change
6:07 I belive the acura is 100% at fault. He didnt wait for trafic to clear before switching lanes.
#10 If you look closely, the Acura driver turn signal blinked only 3 times and didn't wait until line cleared. That is unsafe line change...
Granted it was an unsafe lane change, but modern cars have a lane change feature on the turn signals that works like the single wipe function on the wipers. Move the lever without engaging the signal fully and it will flash 3 times and stop.
Yeah a dash cam is the best I had a few close calls in my area
I've been guilty of the last clip, before. I was visiting my friend 4 states over, smack dab in the middle of texas. It was dark and my headlights weren't the best and I didnt realize it was a divided street. Thankfully the singular car in the other lane didnt call the cops for bad driving. I wasn't from there, and not all of the "main" streets were divided like that.
Time to upgrade the headlamps. Always get the very best available. I run PIIA Ultra White bulbs in my 1990 Volvo 240. With headlamps the size of TV screens, the car is very easy to see.
2:28 regardless of who is at fault, you should always slow down in case of an emergency stop in that situation. He was going way too fast with the traffic moving like that, and it can be difficult for a car turning to see traffic in the far lane.
2:30 - SAY NO TO CUT-THRUS!
THEY DO MORE HARM THAN GOOD!
IF I WERE THE MINIVAN DRIVER AND THE OFFENDING CAR DIDN'T HAVE INSURANCE, I'D GO AFTER THE RED PICKUP DRIVER FOR CREATING AN ATTRACTIVE NUISANCE!
I mean it is illegal to block a cut through you dipstick. Yes the other driver that took the cut through without making sure is at fault but the pickup literally did what they were supposed to do. It’s a ticketable offense to block a intersection or cut through
2:45 - SIMILAR INDEED.
SAY NO TO CUT-THRUS!
Hey, First! Umm, gee, I don't feel any more special than before just for saying that. Lmao.

#10 It was not the Tesla Drivers fault. It was the car that was merging into the lane.
I live in the Netherlands if I get a go pro I could send at least 5 clips each week from biking to school. But I don’t have money for it😭
Any suggestions for a good Dashcam??
I’m sick of idiots blaming the other driver for speeding, because the fact that they knew it was their fault and not the other driver
That ambulance be like oh **** *swerve* haha that's how you do it
I find it very interesting how cars are so over Tech now days but the first thing or one of should have been dashcams we got back up cams but only few vehicles have a dashcam which is odd
my guess is privacy concerns. I would not put it past the auto manufactures to be recording and doing something with it
6:47 I totally agree with Kaveh.V
In the first clip, the car they hit the other person already had front bumper damage
People need to realize just because one lane allows you to turn left you must make sure all lanes are clear before turning left. Some people should not have a license. This happened to me and thankfully I had good brakes and was paying attention because the idiot turning left didnt even look and we almost collided and he acted as if I was in the wrong.
#13 It really doesn't matter if Jerome was speeding or not. That was solely the other guy's fault.
The best way to think about you using your turn signal is that you are asking the people in that line if you can get over then when you are able to safely get over then you do so, your turn signal is not a thing saying I am getting over everyone else watch out for me.
I love it
Fault for the collision Kaveh witnessed should be assigned 50/50, with each driver responsible for the damage to their own car. If they are smart, no police report, no claim filed with either insurance company.
Right turns on red are not universally permitted in the US. They are specifically illegal in New York City. In Canada they are illegal in Province of Quebec. Even where they are generally legal, they can be illegal if appropriate signage is in place.
Jerome ment a steering column or a "rack".
