Jeromy I am from Chicago and the only acceptable toppings on the hot dogs is mustard, tomatoes chopped onion, pickalilie hot vinegar peppers and lettuce and or an oil vegetable mix. The absolute crowning glory is celery salt on the tomatoes.

Last weekend I went camping and was in a hurry, I forgot a few items since I didn't go over the list and check each item off. Nice trip Jeremy, glad you still stayed warm and got packed up before the rain.👍🏕

Dude. Maybe it's because I'm from the Deep South, but I don't think I've ever seen anybody put Mayo on a hot dog! LOL!! Down here, we put mustard, onions, chili and cheese on our dogs. When camping, we might forego the chili. But seriously, I've never seen ANYbody put mayo on a dog. Now I'm gonna have to try it just to see... Love your videos and that tarp is awesome!

Hot dogs are a classic camp meal. Pack them frozen. Cook on a stick over an open fire. Serve them in flatbread so you don't have to worry about squishing the buns. Excellent choice.

Just happened upon your channel and am glad I did :) I look forward to watching your vides! I have the same coffee filter (in fact I have 6 of them and keep them in each vehicle, at work and use it every day at home! I also regularly order them and give them as gifts because they are so simple, affordable and effective.) I wanted to comment that it hadn't occured to me to use it the way you use it. I noticed you placed your grounds in your pot, then filtered the coffee as you poured it into your cup. Here is what I do: I boil my water separately, then place the filter with about 2T grounds setting on top of my cup. Once the water is boiling, I pour just enough over my grounds to get them wet, then I let them "flower" for 15 seconds, then I slowly pour more hot water over the grounds until the cup is full. The grounds should be foamy. I then lift the filter off the cup, and invert the grounds either into the trash or onto the ground (coffee grounds are good for plants/earth) and then pour a little hot water over the filter to clean it off. I like doing it this way because it's so easy to clean everything up. I usually camp alone or with my grandkids or teenage son, and none of them drink coffee. Sometimes I have my older boys with me and they drink coffee. In the past, we have simply made one cup of coffee at a time, cleaning the filter inbetween pouring each cup of coffee. Going forward, I may try making a pot of coffee like you did when it's more than just me. It was cool seeing someone like you using the same filter I use everyday. I don't even have a coffee pot at home anymore - just an electric hot water kettle. In the process of simplifying my life, I have come to realize there are so many things most American homes have that we truly do not need. I hated all the clean up with coffee brewers, not to mention the fact that I really only need one or two cups of coffee. I also really like your tarp shelter - very well thought out. Thanks for sharing your adventures.

Great video of overnight camping. Really like the tarp shelter and that it would be large enough for 2 people and the tent stove. My son and I both have the exact same saw as you, ours has the orange handle, and I made nice leather sheaths for them. Those hotdogs sure did look good, but never heard of putting mayonnaise on hotdogs, might be something I will try because I do like mayonnaise. I was wondering if you stoked the fire in the tent stove to try and burn all night or if you let it go out. Now I know you let it go out. That was a very beautiful area you were camping in. Thanks for sharing your time and experience. Juddie - J & J TOA
