Besides his starting years in the 50s, which was fabulous and new, the years 68-73 were great! Voice was mature and his choice of material changed greatly. He wasn't singing to little teeny boppers anymore, but grown women who had grown up with him. He chose songs that had meaning and seemed to reflect his mood and state of mind he was in at any given time. His gospel music is exquisite, and in fact the only 3 Grammys he received were for his gospel records. The saddest album he made was 1976s From Elvis Presley Blvd. Tho his vocals were still so rich and strong, you could hear the desolation and sorrow in his voice and choice of material. Moody Blue, his last had a happier tone. I have loved his music and the man himself since I was a little girl. I was blessed to have saw him twice in concert. Wish I had instant recall for those memories. ✌️❤️😊

The reason Elvis did not move here is because this was a live satellite show. The satellite feed was on for one hour.....No more...that is what NBC had rented it for......one hour...In that one hour, the concert took place and was beamed around the world. If Elvis moved around, pulled a muscle, ripped his suit....it would have been a disaster.....because he would not have had time to change.....unlike a live concert in some auditorium were he could have gone back stage and changed. This is why he was pretty much stationary. Just a few months earlier than this he did his historic shows at Madison Square Garden....and there he was moving around and dancing quite well.

Elvis did 2 sometimes 3 shows a night. Anywhere from 20 to 25 songs per show. For 5 weeks straight. To do this superhuman schedule he would take sleeping pills to fall asleep and uppers to wake up. Before each show before going on stage he’d get a shot of amphetamines. Given all of that, I will always be an Elvis fan his talent was through the roof and he always gave his fans his best. Ultimately, I think he worked himself to death.

Elvis was very nimble lol he just didnt do it as much ....his outfits weighed up to 20lbs so that in itself wud make u sweat...he was athletic from a young age...good at football..he swam...rode horses...karate expert...very fit but obviously as anyone gets older their body changes...he stayed very slender yet muscular most of his life...it was only the last 2-3 yrs he started to put on weight and as a slender figure it is ALWAYS more noticeable...even a few pounds shows up...a larger person can absorb it an its hardly noticed...Elvis did his moves but also by this time he was doing so many performances every day and night it wouldve been impossible to do all the moves at every concert...would b like running a marathon every day!! Cant do that ..he still gave his all & it killed him in the end. He played racket ball and another sport the night before he died...so he wasnt the total slob who couldnt move some like to say he'd become...he was very ill & very tired...but noone gave a toss...kept him on that treadmill to make money for everyone.
    He never drank btw.
