      We've been told that a lot, but we are always testing our pricing and in our area they just don't command the higher prices like some other areas of the country. We are looking into selling on Etsy and shipping to other areas!

    The editing and recording are both SUCH tedious and time-consuming processes, so thank you for posting this! AND.... you waaaaay under-priced based solely on your hours or work (not just work... diligent, detailed, and integrity-driven work!) - for that, I would pay WAY more than you priced. Double, actually. This was PHENOMENAL and whoever purchased it 1) is as lucky as they get and 2) definitely got a bargain! First video I've seen of yours (I am making over a very damaged, much larger roll-top desk at the moment) and subscribing is simply a MUST! Thank you for putting this out in to the world and taking all the time and work to do so!

    I’ve read a few of the comments posted and I really agree about the low price. You meticulously took apart that dresser, and paid attention to every single detail. You are undervaluing your professional workmanship. I’ve yet to see someone flip a roll top desk. That was A LOT of hours you put in. You can always bargain down! New subscriber here!

    I agree with Judy Martin. That was a lot of quality work- moving parts, even the insides of the drawers. Someone got a steal. You easily could pay 350 for a contemporary solid wood rolltop desk that isn't even close to being as well made. When you consider pricing, make sure all your costs are covered including things like gasoline and electricity, pay both of yourselves what your time is worth, but also look to see what prices your market is supporting. You can still give people a really good deal making more profit, but if you short change yourself by a hundred or more every time, that is a lot less income over the course of a year or five years or ten. Just food for thought.

    • @FurnitureWarriors
      @FurnitureWarriors  Před 3 lety +1

      Hi! Thanks for your comments. I do think we may have underpriced this a bit, but this was a small roll top desk. It was only 41" wide which is not like the typical roll top that you would find. Used full size roll top desks in great shape are plentiful in our area and typically are listed for $175 - $200. We probably should have better explained some of our reasoning for pricing in the video. If you have other thoughts, please feel free to share!

    My first time watching one of your videos...first off...I’m impressed that at your age (I’m 58) that you are working together and not only transforming furniture BUT also filming and editing videos!! I tried doing a channel and know how freaking hard it is to film well and editing and rendering and uploads are hugely time consuming! Kudos to you on that alone! But I stopped to comment because your meticulous detail produced an amazing outcome and I think you completely UNDER priced this item. This should be listed for $350 or $300 for starters. $145 is way too low for the amount of work and love you put into it. A piece that beautiful new would be well over $300. I wouldn’t expect to pay less than $300.
    Just my humble admiring advice! ❤️

    • @FurnitureWarriors
      @FurnitureWarriors  Před 3 lety

      Thanks! Perhaps we were underpriced, but it was our first roll top desk. We can always adjust the price on the next one! It is time consuming to do all of the filming, editing, and uploading, but it's our passion to share what we do! It's usually about 5 hours of editing etc. to produce a video, but we love sharing what we do! Thanks again!

    I like watching your videos. I'm not sure I like this flip, mixing satin with mat paint. That's a personal view so not important, however I beg you please stop using that music you used in the first half of this video. It's so jarring and I usually have to turn the sound off, to find I've missed parts of your commentary. The music is pure torture.

      Hi Archbud! The white we used on the desk was a satin finish. The grey was a matte finsh, but we sealed it with Dixie Belle Gator Hide which gave it a little more shine than the satin. It gives the top of the desk a very durable finish. As for the music, no need to beg....Due to popular demand, we have removed that piece of music from our repertoire! 😀😀😀 Thanks for your feedback!
