Have you found a way to re-enforce the receiving end of that push rod? The part that always fails for our trucks, is were the ball end clips in through the firewall allowing the rod to fall out and the clutch pedal pops up to the electric control panel. One of our mods was using a chain as a tether so the clutch pedal can't fly up to the control panel when that plastic receiver breaks. Thanks! Great Videos
Cass Transport LLC i haven't but I'll have to think of something now. That clip already broke on mine and wut i did is just take off the helper coil spring. Thats the reason that clip fails so often cus of the constant outward pressure. With that spring off mine hasn't broke since. Pedal is just a bit harder.
@elmaschinon2699 I ground out the pin as you did. Ported the hole slightly larger to fit a grade 8 bolt the same size as the hole on the clutch rod. Put a washer on, then push it through the hole of the pedal arm. Then, 2 washers, then push it through the clutch rod, then another washer and a locking nut. 0% chance it will ever brake or come loose. Plus, the bolt is thicker and stronger than the thin hex bolt. Bolts and washers were $5.
The safety switch has a white flat plastic piece that u slide off then u can pull back and away to remove. The rod has a c clip u can remove to pop it out without damaging it.
@@elmaschinon2699 last thing I’m going to bother you with. I got everything disassembled, repaired, and reassembled. The pushrod that goes from the pedal to the master cylinder, I cannot get it to snap back into place. If you’d like text me at 434-382-9556 and I can send you my 1 min video of the problem and see if you have any input. I’m at a loss man
To solve the problem ,just put a washer as a spacer next to pedal,
Great video! It helped me out, thanks man

Dont weld it and dont grind it add a dang spacer
A couple of washers between the heim joint and the pedal would have been the easiest solution.
Yes but not as permanent as wut I did.
Why buy the joint? Just put a big bolt and washers through the pedal and through the cluch piston loop. Much easier and cheaper.
The joint is cheap and a better fix.

@WhiteYetiAK that sounds good.
@@elmaschinon2699 Nothing against it, just asking for curiosity.
@WhiteYetiAK Hey man. Only thing that matters is u found a fix for ur problem.
Good video thanks man.
How do you remove the black safety switch? Also how do you remove the rod itself from the truck

@@elmaschinon2699 you’re the man. Thank you so much.

0:16 How hard was it to remove the pedal assembly?
It's actually pretty easy. Took me like 10 minutes.
I watched your video at this is great but how do you get the rod out of the hydraulic valve mine doesn't want to come out
It has a small ring clip on the inside that keeps the metal rod into the master cylinder plastic housing
Hey man do you remember the size of the hardware ?
I don't but if u just search clutch pedal fix it should show up
What's the name of that part
Its a heim joint.
Where did you order that from I can't find it in my local area Auto Parts
I just ordered it on ebay
