As my Dad would say, “You do good work.”
You do. You also have a calm and smoothness about you that is precise, orderly, clean with a bit of kindness thrown in so some of us do not feel a tad ignorant or a bit slow when it comes to trying to recreate this.
This tutorial is really appreciated. I’ve been looking through a number of tutorials, and in my opinion, I think you’re one of the best out there on this platform. Now all I have to do is find some 110# black paper to order. If you by chance read this in short order, I would love to know where one could buy this heavy paper at one of the least expensive places on line.
Wishing everyone an amazing crafty day
Be well and stay smiling 🎈
Oh my goodness! I just saw this!! Thank you so very much for your kind words!! I live in Canada so I get all of my heavy card stock from Michael’s because shipping is very expensive to me but if you’re in the US I would suggest the Papermill online!
@@CreateWithMarthaTucker - I’ve never heard of Papermill, I look forward to checking them out and thank you. I did find the heavy black paper (110#) in JoAnns and thankfully, it had been on a really good sale. I’m usually a day late for those.
Stay smiling
@@CreateWithMarthaTucker I second this comment. Im a HUGE fan and have bought several of your items from ETSY. Having found this craft after sooo many other attempts of other art creations, I find this the most enjoyable. When barking on the "learning" paths Ive been through so many people, and although they are good, I find your "teachings" are more harmonized with my learnings. And like Maiingan07 said, we feel like we have 2 left hands, but you bring this balance with your items that I guess you can say helps with our confidence rather than causing us or myself to just throw our/my hands up and just quit. So thank you so kindly for all you do love.
@@mandirose6725 thank you so very much, your kind words are truly appreciated
This is the PERFECT Folio for my grandkid's trip to Disney memories. They are going this Christmas. I'll be making a folio for each of them as their gift along with a gift card tucked inside to purchase a fun little something while there. The cascades will hold plenty of photos and the accordion pocket is super for holding the maps and tickets that are collected along the way. Thank you for the clear and concise instructions.
That is fantastic! Thank you so much!!
I too noticed quite a few mistakes in the measurements mentioned on the video. I haven't made the folio yet, but was wondering if the inaccuracies are in the cutting guide, or the video tutorial. I just want to have all pieces cut properly before I start assembling during the video.
I've made this EXACTLY the way she's said too. I think there was once she said 4 and a quarter, and it was just a half score. I didn't go by the cutting guide (couldn't find it. So i wrote them all out first n then just decided to go along with the video. The mistake was corrected with common sense. She's given a better tutorial than others I've paid for on esty. Now there's some crap, this one lady's item had the cutting guieds completely jacked and when you followed her, you knew things weren't right. I wasted so much paper. I was so mad. I would have to pause the video and play sec by sec to see her lay her piece down on her cutting mat and count the blocks top to bottom to find the sizes on many pieces. I promise you, Martha's on point compared to many others I've created.
Thank you Martha for sharing this with us. I LOVE your creations. And I loved the tape on the piece you double taped. It makes me feel so much better when those who create such great items, show that they two are not perfect. It was a cute little add
Beautiful album!
You packed a lot into a small package. Love it!
A lovely album. Thank you for the very detailed instructions.
Your instructions were so great that I think I could do this! Thanks!
Lovely tutorial but please next time you do one please finish off the decorating of it as it’s relaxing to watch 😊
This is beautiful, I’m going to attempt this one this weekend. Thank you
I just made this it came out really cute! Thanks for sharing
Great instructions! Thanks!
Amazing! I want to do this album but i don't have a confidence. I think this is great place to start. I love how quick is it but its is beautiful. Thank You so much for sharing! You are great teacher. Thanks again.
I’ve made six of these for gifts. Great tutorial.
Lovely xx
I'm new to journals,,I loved the tutorial ,,,can't to start it...thank you....
Love it so cute love it. Love the video
I love this! Have followed as far as the "mechanism" and I can't seem to get the measurements right. Can you please clarify the correct measurements? ? So far they aren't matching up. I'd love to be able to finish this cute project! :)
I really enjoyed your tutorial. You are so easy to listen to and follow.
Thank you
Thank you so much!!
I enjoyed the walk through.. the album is lovely. The tutorial has lots of mistakes in measuring or when you are saying the paper measurements. I watched it through first and picked quite a few mistakes up. But still happy with it. Thanks
I Liked it a lot. Finnaly a good use (besides envelopes) for the envelope punch. Thank you very much, I learned a lot from you. Keep up these nice tutuorials. Love XXX
Wonderful- I subscribed
Hi thanks for sharing. You have a mistake in the piece , you said to score 4 1/4 then half an inch backwards to the end, that is wrong.
I can't wait to try this. Any idea how many pieces of cardstock / patterned paper you used all together? I want to get my supplies all gathered before beginning.
Mary Fitzgerald about 6 sheets of 12x12 patterned paper. 10 sheets of 65 pound 8 1/2 x 11 Cardstock and 6-7 sheets of 110 pound black Cardstock
Martha please check if the paper cuts for left flap are 6 @ 4/2 x 1/4 is correct.
I reviewed the video and the 6 pieces for the waterfall for each flap should be 4 1/2 inches square.
This is such a cute folio. Can you tell me what the last measurement is for the left back flap. I don’t understand what is listed. Thanks.
dgmlmax it leans the back of the left flap 😊
I believe it should say 1 @ 1 1/2 x 4 1/2
I really couldn't see because of the black bar across the screen ie..caption! The book is beautiful but its also confusing with the measurements given while your working and not before... I would love to create this but its really hard to see.
Where are mistakes in measuring?
the mechanism part
Measurements were off. Got aggravated (I’m a newbie) and decided to stop the project cause of the measurements. But once I cool down I will try again but figure out the correct measurements.
Hate it when you don’t go through it at the end. Decorated or not. Just saying.
