In this project we make a beautiful little solid gold knife from unwanted scrap gold. The blade is 9ct gold, the handle is 24ct gold that is pinned together with 9ct white gold pins. The gold is cast into a graphite mould. The first one is too small so I use a Dremel and a cheap X-Y table to mill it out to a custom size. I did it like this because I wanted to try it :-)
In the second casting I add Borax to final clean the gold so I can cast it with the least impurities as possible. Then quench in an effort to stop the gold softening.
Sharpening this knife was difficult I wont lie. I eventually got it sharp enough to shave hair (just) but it goes blunt very fast because gold is a soft metal. It will cut paper, but this damages the blade faster than hair and makes the blade hard to sharpen again. - Zábava

To be honest the Gold Knife would actually kinda suck as a weapon though. Gold is too soft of a metal to hold a proper edge, and it lacks ways to temper it. Sounds like a good idea on paper, but Gold costs too much to be worth using as a weapon. Still, it would be one Hell of a flex. Though at that point why not use Brass.
@ZfirePlayz It's my job as an apprentice Metal Worker. Gold is simultaneously the most expensive and soft of most metals you can work with. I mean ever wonder why some Gold medalists bite the metal to show the indents? It's to show that it's real gold, ironically enough though it's pretty heavy. So if it was tempered properly you could legit make a damn good Hatchet out of it. The only issue is that Gold is such a good conductor of heat that it's almost impossible to make it hard enough to be worth a damn. Plating something however is very cheap in comparison and is more practical, but it's still a little annoying to pull off. In fact most of your headphones are plated with Gold, literally 5 bucks worth of it. It makes everything more conductive on places that use it. Gold Knives however even with plating would still be pretty delicate though. In fact if you heated up this knife a bit and let it cool down slowly it would anneal itself and become softer.

@@bizybliztaverage9414 Titanium would actually make a pretty kickass knife. The only issue I can see is it absolutely destroying your tools. It's actually cheaper than White Gold but the reason people still charge a lot for it is because it murders your tools. It's super strong, but it takes a ton of time to work with it and clean up is like having a hundred people punching Brick for 20 hours a day. Yeah you'll eventually break it down with a ton of time, but you've also just caused yourself to have to pay a ridiculous amount of money in hospital bills. It has the exact opposite problem that Gold has, and tempered steel is technically harder than it. What you're really paying for is the lightness and strength of the material compared to other metals that are used straight. It holds an edge like it was molded and casted with the edge fine tuned within it. The one time I worked with it I had blood blisters going on my hands and I went through 20 belts on the sander within 3 hours, and those were the high end ones. I also had to wear super strong and Dark Glasses because the sparks are so bright they can permanently blind you.

Tiny gold knife when equipped does 20 damage and gives coins when used
Sorry, I have the hunter's bow, it does 60 damage, and then I finish off my enemies with the platinum scythe, 120 damage. It's good for bosses, and really nice for hunting. And I get plenty of coins by selling my hunts (Often killed with my hunter's bow) and loot (From chests left behind by Korg, a literal puddle of black acid, that takes form of the undead. Their weakness is suffocation, and they're pretty strong, with 1000 hp. I'm often in the low level areas because I can't kill them in just a couple hits. I'm such a coward-)
