I love that it's dark when I get up, it makes it so atmospheric and magical when I light my candle and say a morning blessing.
Love the outfits :) 'Not everything has to be a spell' is so true, I sometimes speak a teeny tiny charm into my morning tea and that's it for the day, and no one should feel like they're not doing enough.

@@annaazzopardi4625 I stir three clockwise and say things I want to attract (e.g. health, energy etc) three times, then i stir counterclockwise and say things i want to repel. Usually I end it with with a ‘so be it’ or something

I’d love to invite people and teachers over but it’s really looked down upon in the area of America I live in. I’m too afraid to let my acquaintances know, only people I trust who are close to me and aren’t Christian’s know this about me. I love hearing you live with freedom and acceptance- it’s beautiful and brings me a feeling of camaraderie even through a screen🧡🎃🧙♀️ my neighbor has a sign on their door with an X over a pumpkin that reads “we do not celebrate Halloween, but as for us we will be celebrating the Lord” 😂 so…..I guess they’re not interested in my little holiday bash!
It sounds like you, as a lot of people do, have seasonal affective disorder (SAD) in the winter. I have always loved fall and winter so much and I live in Pittsburgh Pennsylvania where it reaches negative temperatures, is very very rainy, and gets tons of snow. The first cool day of fall this year, my whole body and soul felt SO happy and I have been so down lately so it was incredible to feel.
I am not extremely fond of the sun (despite being a Leo-Virgo Cusp). I absolutelg love the rain, it's like mother earth refreshing herself! Since I was a child I've never felt compelled to turn lights on in the house and prefer it dark. My friends and family are like...uhh.. are you okay? why are you just here in the dark?? 😂 I'm a night owl just like you are a morning birdie! I feel that same peace at night that you feel in the morning. It's so quiet and the energy is so so calm, I just love it. It is the same type of energy that you feel in winter because people aren't usually out and about, rushing around, animals are sleeping, and it's so quiet.. I am not tolerant of the heat at all, I am completely miserable in the Summer and hot Spring. But what I'm TRYING TO SAY -
I had only ever heard of Winter SAD, but a couple weeks ago I woke up to the bright bright sun shining through the skylight and I was just...so annoyed. So I did some research because I'm thinking, why am I like this?? Well I found out that, although pretty rare, people DO get Summer SAD !!!!!! It all made so much sense.
So yeah I'm just bored right now and wanted to write this all out in case someone else with Summer SAD is watching and feel like "I'm not like that, how is she so happy in the Spring and Summer?" - You are not alone!!! 😊
This entire video is like having a hug from autumn and I love it! Your granola looks delicious, I will have to try some myself.
My favorite recipe for this time of year is a peanut butter pumpkin spread/oatmeal (you can make it both ways, depending). It's EQUAL parts peanut butter and pumpkin (because otherwise one will over power the other), vanilla, cinnamon, ginger, pumpkin pie spice (or, if you're ambitious, your own mixture of said spice), brown sugar or honey and - if you're making it into oatmeal - equal parts oats and milk. Let it sit overnight and enjoy. Everything is pretty much to taste or to how much you want to make. I find half a can of pumpkin and equal amount of peanut butter will get you enough for about four days or so.
1. That is awesome that you invited people over from your kid's school for a witchy night. I will have to consider becoming brave enough to do that.
2. You should visit the mountain west of the US some year during fall. It's clear and crisp here during autumn and doesn't rain much.

And I just made granola with pumpkin seeds and honey - so decadent and delicious! Also soothing and potent in zinc to fight off colds. Good remedy! 🎃

I am really enjoying your videos. I found you when I was searching for some fun spring equinox videos because March and April in my area (Western NY, USA) are depressing, and I've continued watching through Summer and now into Fall. I am not a witch, in fact I'm a Catholic, but I have always felt a pull toward ancient celebration and have felt a need inside of me to feed myself with aesthetically pleasing moods sprinkled with 'magic'. Thank you for presenting in a way that is perfect for me.

I'm not usually one for decorating a lot because it so easily crosses the line from decor to clutter and I love space and calm in my home. But this beautiful idea can be kept all year and redecorated / accessorised each season. I'm very much a baby when it comes to celebrating the seasons in a witchy way, but I've learned so much from you and your gorgeous videos. Weirdly enough when I was I child I hated orange and brown! Now I feel they are colors that suit me most 🤣 autumn is such a special time of year 🍁🎃

Absolutely awesome! I love cozy and thats how your videos make me feel. Theyre just so warm and welcoming. I have come into learning about witches very late in life, very late. Never thought i would be doing that but something brought me here and it feels right. The word witch gets such a bad rap. People think its evil just like i once did. It comes from fear and years of brainwashing. Ive been in a bit of a slump and need to declutter and organize as it looks like im going to have to move after 40yrs. You have really great ideas. I love making roasts and stews in my slow cooker. Cooking apple and berry crisps in my oven and inviting people for supper. A warm meal is always appreciated on a cold day.

I made some pineapple upside down cupcakes since I was missing summer vibes already but unfortunately the cherries I bought were spoiled and ruined all the cupcakes! But I enjoyed making them so much that it didn’t really make me mad they came out bad. It’s cozy times for sure. Nice to get the house warm with the oven. Our community garden on my little island is gonna have a harvest feast this Sunday. So excited! As someone who lived in California (perpetual summer pretty much) until she was 20, I now live in New England and the fall foliage driving up to Boston is so beautiful. Even snow, I was unfamiliar with it not immediately melting the next day. Summer wardrobe is the easiest, for sure I am dreading the autumn / winter wardrobe 🥶 I think this island needs a sauna and it might make winter more bearable ahaha. ❤ Thanks for your videos ❤

Hello, I'm a closet witch, I have to be. I live in a bible belt area and they don't take kindly to witchcraft. So I practice my craft in secret and behind closed doors. I tried to come out by decorating the outside and didn't fly well with my neighbors or my city officials. Only allowed to decorate during their Halloween season.

Love what you said about seasonal decor feeling like a burden - honestly, I love autumn decor BUT. I can't deal with the extra clutter. However the idea of zeroing in on one messy area and making it better, that makes a lot of sense to me. PS that homemade garland is adorable!
Same. On top if kids and all the clutter they seem to create seasonal decor can end up being more work. But I try to use things found in nature or candles/incense etc; things that can 'disappear' easily back into the earth or air. Excited for fall and harvest time fun.

I'm almost finished with preparing my pears for the winter. I chose to dry them in my food dehydrator. We had a huge rain storm on Monday and I came home to my driveway filled with walnuts that had dropped from my tree. I brought in a huge basket full. Then I did the same yesterday and today. I still have concord grapes to pick so my sister can work her magic and turn them into jam. I'm more then ready to hibernate. Plus I'm ready for spooky season since my birthday falls on El Dia de los Muertos, also what I tell people is October 32(November 1).

granola bowl with greek yogurt is my favorite meal all year around.... during the winter I just change it up a bit and make it warm oats instead with fruits, nuts and seeds, like yours=)
BTW, my thoughts on why ppl are more open during this time of year is maybe it is simply because hey can feel the veil opening as well =) We are all intuitive, after all!!!

I noticed you put ginger straight into your tea strainer to start brewing. I did this for the longest time as well, and it's definitely more practical. Though, during my studies with medical herbs, I learned that when it comes to brewing teas that include roots, berries, seeds, and bark, you want to make a decoction. This is because these herbs are much more dense, and in order to get their full medical properties, you have to cook them over the stove at a heavey simmer for at least 15 minutes, 30 minutes is better, and an hour is best. So this includes ginger, turmeric, cinnamon, cloves, etc.

Bex, doing a quick search of that shoe company led me to some really bothersome comments about them. I feel like "sustainable" has become something like "organic" and so many companies cash in by using these labels and they have really watered down the power they once held. I'm sorry, I am being a drag. I am glad you like the shoes and they are super cute.
I worked with them for years and have researched them quite a bit myself, because it is so true what you say that lot of companies that promis sustainability are really not holding up their promis at all - especially the ones that are not certified. A lot of people don't like that Vivia is a Chinese company but personally I don't see an issue with that's long as they hold the promis to all the certifications they got.
