Voice 14.2 Explaining Double Object Verbs using the VoiceP
We do a brief tangent into the morphology of Voice and the licensing of Agents, as a stepping stone into exploring the mystery of the 3 arguments in Double Object constructions. It's argued that the Theme and Goal Arguments are introduced inside the VP, but the Agent is introduced by Voice. The fact that the verb appears before the goal and theme is taken as a consequence of short verb movement of V to Voice.
