Solo Sailor Guy deBoer: Onboard footage from LSO to Lanzarote

Guy's journey from the race start in Les Sables-d'Olonne on 4 September 2022 to the first film gate in Lanzarote. The night following the Lanzarote film drop, on September 18th, Guy ran aground on Fuerteventura island. Exhaustion, combined with a wind variation that changed the course of Spirit, were the main factors. He’s repairing and looking forward to 2026.

God Speed Guy, hope you'll try again 2026. Guy has repaired this fine old boat, and is back afloat, following the incredible owner support Bob Perry is famous for, who provided drawings and probably advice how to achieve extending the life of Perry's best design ever, the culmination of several design cycles under various manufacture names.
