Thanks Damo and Ray.. Interesting stuff.... I'm trying to learn Thai and I feel that I have a decent (a long way to go) list of words and phrases under my belt. I watch a lot of CZcams, much of which is in the Thai language. I'm not sure if that helps or not but I enjoy it and can pick up a word or two now and again! I work with a lot of Filipino's and when I listen to them talk to each other, I've ascertained that they use a lot of words to say a small amount! Therefore, they speak very fast.

Bill, I met a guy in Bali, he was a waiter and his English was perfect with a strong American accent, so I asked him what part of the USA he grew up in and he told me he had never been out of Indonesia. Obviously, next I asked him, where he learned to speak so fluently, and he said it was all from watching television.

That's an excellent thought. Given that AI will be able to work at one's own pace and correct one's pronunciation immediately, I think it will be very popular.
