Outstanding performance first half the 4-1-4-1 formation suits our
style of play . The outstanding players were MINGS, , McGINN,
GRELISH ,WHELAN. We have the best midfield in the championship . I
listened to the interview after the match with Blackburn Rovers
manager Tony Mowbray [ by the way ex- HIBERNIAN MANAGER] and he
described Villa have a team full of quality players. He was asked
about the midfield partnership of Super Jack Grelish and Super John
McGinn he described them as 'exceptional' also he praised Tyron Mings
as a quality defender . McGinn was the main instigator of the two
goals incredible passes and vision. We need to keep Grelish , McGinn
and Mings next season. RUMOURS-- Brendon Rodgers the new Leicester
City manager is a huge fan of McGinn and is monitoring McGinnâs
performances and possibility of a signing in the Summer . Brendon
Rogers wanted to sign McGinn to Celtic, but Neil Lennon [ now Celtic
manager] but the Hibernian manager at the time helped encourage
McGinn to sign for Villa . VILLA will definitely make the play-offs

First half we played some of the best free-flowing attacking football Iâve seen in a long time, there was no let up it was just attack attack attack absolutely wonderful football. However the game shouldâve been dead and buried after the first half with the amount of chances and this almost cost us the 3 points towards the end after Blackburn scored and almost equalised with their pressure towards the end but all in all a brilliant game and another important three points !

TheLegend 27 how is that a joke? Look at where we were and how we were playing a month ago.. we were 13th and drawing 0-0 to Reading and losing 1-0 to Brentford. Jack Grealish, Tuanzebe and multiple other players are back from injury and weâve won 5 on the trott, smashing Derby 4-0, Middlesbrough 3-0, Forest 3-1 etc
We have hit form at the right time and I donât see how anybody will stop us anytime soon, Dean Smithâs style of football is beginning to shine now (only took half the bloody season though đ).
TheLegend 27 canât deny weâve had our bad runs this season, but you canât deny weâve been unstoppable lately. You can cross us out of playoff promotion just yet.

Decent game. Really good first half, dropped off a bit but I don't think we were ever in any danger. Fair play to the Blackburn keeper. Very solid
We have are great all round squad but im really worried about the goalkeeping department. Both Steer and Kalinic look a liability, and when Nyland was playing he was making mistakes aswell. Dont get me wrong steer has probably performed the best out of the 3 but i still think going forward Villa need a solid number 1

I don't think Kalinic really got the chance to show what he was made of. He played what.. two games? Before picking up that injury against the baggies and hasn't been able to get back in the team since.

Well they are all internationals or premier league loanees or remnants of Villa's premier league squad from a few years ago. So they should be. Don't forget Whelan, Hourihane are Republic. Ireland int, McGinn Scotland Int, Kodjia is an IC int, Elohammandy is Egypt int, Taylor Wales Int, Hutton Scotland Int, Grealish & Elphick just played premier league, Mings, Tuenzebe & Abraham loans from premier league. & is Al Ghazi Egypt int as well? Should be playing well.

Villa should have had 4 or 5 goals. Everything else about the team is clicking though and the lads look like they are loving their football. Mings + the best midfield in the league + Tammy = promotion.

Why is El Gaziâs goal offside if it came off the keeper?
Tom Lennon itâs from when the player shot the ball. So when Taylor shot El Ghazi was in an offside position
Matthaeus yes but heâs not interfering until it comes off the keeper? Is the refâs point that he was putting off the keeper by being there?
He was offside when Taylor took the shot.
Tom Lennon he wasnât putting off the keeper but he started in an offside position, it doesnât matter if it comes of the keeper or not itâs from when Taylor last touched the ball, if the keeper passed it to El Ghazi on purpose then it would count, but he didnât so itâs offside

That's surely gotta be Abraham's longest range goal? Never seen him score a goal from that far out. How you can compare this guy to Adams or any other top striker is just unbelievable đ all he has is tap ins hahaha
Actually he has scored from further out, if I remember rightly he put a beautiful one away from the penalty spot against small heath. SOTC.
