If I would have said, back in the eighties, that some warrior women from Japan on high heels and wearing prom dresses will be the best heavy metal band of the world in the future, I would have been locked up in a mental institution for sure. 😋😃
same here - at 70 years old i am trying to introduce some of my old musician friends to the amazing girl bands of japan. none of them were aware that this was even a thing until i brought it up. the going is tough as some of them don't want to accept the fact that these amazing ladies have been blowing away just about everything out there for the last 10 or so years. but i will convert them i promise you.
This track contains one of my fav solo sections from these ladies. M&M were just phenomenal here. And they play this song flawlessly LIVE.
Yes they can do it live too.. Watch the concert performance.. The opener to the concert.. It's awesome.. Did you notice Miyako isn't in battle gear and Midori's bad ass eye patch.. Love these women.. they are just too too good..

This music video was my introduction to LOVEBITES back in late February of 2021. It totally blew me away from the get go - the constant fast underlying chug of the guitar, bass, and drum that drives the song was the first thing that I noticed and fell in love with. Later I came to realize it is a staple in almost every LOVEBITES song. It makes their songs feel fast, hard, and heavy. Asami's vocals are amazing as well and I loved them from the get go. And the fact that all this great sound was coming from 5 gorgeous women was like the icing on the cake. I was an instant fan. But I hadn't even made it to the guitar solos yet. Oh my goodness, when I saw/heard Midori and Miyako going back and forth with their blistering and melodic solos I was in total shock and awe. I thought how could this be possible - my dream band was right here in front of my eyes. I was now a life long fan without realizing it at first. It became a reality once I had purchased every album and EP from them over the course of the next few weeks and listened to their entire catalog - not finding a single song I didn't like.
excellent reaction , when Miyako wrote this song she called it "LOVEBITES" because she wanted to dedicate it to the band , with Asami's lyrics it became "when the fates align" and yes the fates that aligned are those of these amazing women😍
When they sing this song live Asami always says in the beginning: "This is us!" 🙂🤘

There are great bands out there, then there is Lovebites. They are a different breed in a league of their own. I'm no musician but listening to their musicianship is just a completely different experience than anything else I hear. They are DIFFERENT in the greatest F way possible. Just my opinion. been hoping that you would get to this amazing song. my favorite LOVEBITES mv by far. and this solo section should go down in history as one of the greatest ever recorded. and that sweep picking outro is the frosting on the cake. the filming of it is mind boggling and as you know - they can pull it off in a live show flawlessly. has there ever been a band this perfect ? nope.

Shadowmaker melted faces and dropped jaws. This one vaporized what was left. And then they proved, over and over, that they can play it live. No one else I know of would be able to pull that off.
I love Midori with her Eye patch. She looks so mean! But as we all know she is a real sweet heart.
She played as 柳生十兵衛 Jubei Yagyu the legendary one eyed master swordsman.
May I suggest a song that Lovebites will probably never play again due to the content. Journey to the other side is another banger that most reactors have never heard off, If you react to it, have some tissues handy.

You can pick up your brain now, it is next to your face that melted off......LOL. They are BADA$$ and now you see them dressed like it in the video. This is one of the favorite M&M songs to play LIVE, wonder why???The talent is insane and forget they are petite women who wear their femininity proudly, they are awesome musicians who are dedicated to to their art, each other and their fan base.

I love your reactions to these amazing ladies. I would love to see you react to Raise Some Hell!! It is such a straight up adrenaline rush in your face FUN song and still one of my all time favorites from them. Their live performance of it is second to none. So much energy and just flat out fun and pure joy from the ladies. They genuinely look to enjoy performing it as well and feels like they put a lil extra spunk into it in my opinion. Just love it!!!

I think everything has been said about this video, I just wanted to comment, who the F turns up to these reactions, and it's not just Lovebites and it's not just your reactions, but who turns up just to give it a thumbs down.
If it's a band or song you don't like just stay away, simple.
Revisit stand and deliver but the music video, it show them the studio being themselves with no costumes and practicing
So what did we learn so far ?
That you can be 14 years old and absolutely have the crowd in awe and headbanging to songs about chocolate, hide-and-seek, school bullies and so on. (BABYMETAL)
That you can look like like princesses ready to walk the stage, but just melt peoples' mind with your shredding, drums a a former RnB singer&ballerina that switched to metal. (LOVEBITES)
That you can just take a school project song and slap metal heads around with incredible an 2:30min song which nobody could see coming. Then you do it again .. and again.(HANABIE)
That you can have a half-gorilla drummer, a guitarist that never played guitar before but slapped into shape by the other guitarist, and get another amazing band going. (BAND-MAID)
That you can get fast, slow, hard and heavy but also slow and melodious in the same song in the span of a several seconds. (NEMOPHILA)
There's no better place for metal to be, than in the hands of Japanese ladies. And what's more concerning ... how many more amazing bands from Japan are we missing on, just because they are not on YT or made it publicly outside of their country ?
