Hi everyone, I am so excited to bring you all with me on this tour of Alex's Hobonichi Weeks planner! This is the first video we are doing in a new series called "Inside My Planner," where we will be showing how people use their different planners. In this episode, Alex shares how she uses her Weeks planner to swatch inks out by collection and colors. I was so inspired after sitting down with her and her beautiful collection of ink swatches and hope you all are too. Soooooooo………I love this so much…..bc I decided to do this last week to one of my extra weeks. I haven’t had the time to sit down yet. But now I have the advantage of Alex’s beautiful smart artful brain to use as a guide for mine 💜💜 my reason behind using the weeks is to make it portable, inspirational, an excuse to get more weeks than I actually “need” AND to help me not purchase duplicate inks 😂 ( I have 3 Diamine Inferno Orange hair in the last 2 weeks…orange is one of my top 3 colors but c’mon 3😂bottles)
Ok off to drool over more swatch dreaminess.

I love this idea Alex had and put to practise so gracefully to actually use a planner for something completely different than planning! This idea has opened a whole new line of thinking about planners for me .. from now on all the "expired" planners from last year that are on sale from each February are never gonna be safe from me :D .. there is soooo much potential !!! I love this!

This was so awesome to see! I have a Hobonichi Weeks I bought because I adored the cover but I haven't thought of a use for it, so I'm definitely going to use it for ink swatching now - thanks for the idea, Alex! And I would love to see a video of color swatching with themes that'd be so fun! P.S. If you guys ever posted photos of all the ink swatches I would definitely use them for photo references of new inks to get. Just sayin', hehe. 🙂

Thank you for sharing, Alex! I would thoroughly enjoy watching you swatch - and maybe blend?! - some ink colors on this paper. I've used techo back pages for testing pencils, pens, and inks but never thought to drag color across my weekly Weeks pages with a brush. And I love, love, love how you use the right side. You have definitely inspired me and, I'm sure, many others.

What a great video, I love doing swatches tooo and you just gave me a ton of Ideas. Oh I nee more ink lol. Thank you for doing these videos. I visit the store 2 weeks ago an I got my self a travelers note book and pens etc etc. I was excited to go visit and meet you guys. Swatch obsessed here...I may even name my next dog Swatch, LOL. Is there a Swatch Support Group? I've been meaning to suggest for a while that Yoseka offer up videos such as "here are a bunch of our pink/blue/green, etc. inks swatched and compared..." Multi-brand comparisons, or similar colors within a single line - it's all good. The more swatches and comparisons to view the better when you're seeking out a new ink color online, IMO. Thank you :)
