    Using glitter you can do it on cotton shirts...and dark color shirts. We do it in the sublimation world all the time. Never tired circuit glitter but I know it works great on Siser. I'b going to have to try Cricut brand.

      It’s overpriced sublimation. I was disappointed when I saw the launch after all of the hype.

      @@MsDolphins87 I agree 100%!!! It's just dye sub!!!! But I do like the idea of putting white vinyl on first then putting the dye sub over top. I never did that with our regular printing. Why didn't that occur to me? Oh well. Live and learn!

    I have a question about the pens. Are they water based? If so, can you bleed the colors with water the same way you would with water color paints? Of course you would have to let it dry before pressing. Maybe you might want to try this in one of your videos. It could make some beautiful art work.

  • @JANJOHNSON59
    @JANJOHNSON59 Před 5 lety +2

    It’s beautiful and a cool concept but why not just use a patterned glitter htv. The whole point of infusible ink to me is that there is no heavy material on the shirt. Just saying.

    • @mandysmith7369
      @mandysmith7369 Před 5 lety

      The reason being is that if you want to draw a picture out with multiple colors, you only have to use 1 color of glitter. I made a shirt one time and ran out of green glitter HTV and just turned with green with sublimation.

    • @LorrieNunemaker
      @LorrieNunemaker  Před 5 lety +2

      It was just an experiment and totally not the way I would

  • @LollyPalooza
    @LollyPalooza Před 5 lety

    Love this! Now, can this process be used on coasters or cricut mugs with the cricut mug press?

    • @LorrieNunemaker
      @LorrieNunemaker  Před 3 lety

      You can sublimate with Infusible ink on Cricut mugs without the glitter. If you wanted to use the glitter - it’s worth a try but since you can’t adjust the temp it is likely too hot and it won’t be dishwasher safe as the vinyl will come off eventually

    • @LorrieNunemaker
      @LorrieNunemaker  Před 5 lety +1

      PJ Szewczyk it is not recommended because where the presses overlap it reactivates the ink when reheated which then lifts the ink and lightens the effect

    No reason to apply the glitter to a polyester Cricut tshirt as you aren't printing your shirt, only the glitter. You can apply the glitter to an colour cotton, cotton blend, or poly garment.
    If you are simply using a fill like the Cricut Infusion sheets, there is no reason to cut out the design. It's difficult to match it up exactly as you can see when you showed the finished product. Tack the cutout glitter to a teflon sheet, apply the infusion sheet cut roughly a bit larger than the glitter shape. Let cool then peel and apply to a tshirt following the instructions for the glitter (cooler than infusion).
