Where is the attachment you use on you're filthy wife?

@@JR-zu9hl That’s shear madness. Cut it out. lol

How many of you flinched when he got near his fingers with the cutter?!

I had to move on to another video at that point. Not everyone can watch a train wreck.
Thought this dude was legit until that moment
INSPIRED AUTOSPORT i literally just looked threw to find if someone else saw that lol
Finally something I can use to open the blow mold pack the tool came in!
That is great
Yeah good point.
Hahaha
Are you sure it will work? Those suckers are tough!
I was opening a pack of sawzall blades the other day and I sliced my hand open... On the plastic packaging.
I have this and absolutely love it for cutting FRP. Straight and fast. I used to use double cuts but these shears work much faster. I just leave it on an old impact permanently. Definitely worth the money.
How did you find out about it. A supply house, or fellow worker.
I just showed this to a coworker who does stock car racing in his freetime. Hes so happy to not have to sheer panels by hand anymore. Love the video Vince!
Thank you Joshua!!
Thanks for the heads up, this video has been a great help and it's helped out someone else who does suffer from arthritis.
I'm sold! A DEWALT shear?! Thanks for this video!
I've been aware of this and similar attachments I've seen in stores and have always been curious about their use. Thanks for showing us. Looks pretty useful.
That would work just dandy in autobody repair, when you are doing door skins and qaurter splices 😊$60 you say roughly.
$43 online. Such a deal!
Wow Vince, I never knew that attachment existed. Now I can use my old DeWalt DC826 to cut some sheet metal and replace my Ingersol Rand pneumatic metal shear with it. Thanks for enlightening us with this new DeWalt attachment. You just sold me on this. Cheers!
I’ve been using this tool for about a year now and I must say that if you are in the HVAC industry it is a must have

Companies are really coming out with some innovative tools and accessories just in the last few years, I would have used this daily.
I've seen this at lowes and always wondered if it would work well. Thanks so much for testing it out for us Vince! VCG Rocks! I often have to deal with trimming metal roofing for gazebos and this is the ticket!
4:47 Yikes! You just introduced DeWalt's latest, 20v Max Finger Nail Clippers.
Came just to make this comment
You can also buy a dedicated DeWalt shears I use to have the 14.4v version years ago what a time saver that was and fatigue I got carpal tunnel from work my boss has one I might get one of maybe he can get me one on business discounts course I'll have to pay for it but he saves up to $15 if he buys tools in bulk maybe his next order I'll ask him if he could throw it in there explain that it will make my job more productive and I will not need to borrow his I do have had snips
my toes curled up when i saw it OMG!
Any tool that makes you more productive is a good tool. This thing will let you make adjustments on the spot if you have a dumbass making cuts for you. Just saying lol

Very useful tool, saved me a lot of time on a roofing job. Used mine on the dewalt 20v driver.
I've had that attachment for quite a longtime. I feel silly that I didn't think to use it on my current remodelling project, when I had to shorten an air return in the basement
I love these things. When I was management for commercial construction company I bought as many as I could find. They were discontinued for a couple years. They're way cheaper than designated power shears. I really only use mine anymore for FRP. They are absolutely worth the $55. I found one more pair for sale during the time they were discontinued. I was so excited I bought them out of pocket and kept them for myself.
I havnt seen the dewalt one but saw a friend had a old model and i thought it was awsome.
Glad I can go back and watch these older ones while waiting for the next new one😀
Yo! Vince !
I got one of those last year...
AND ITS STILL IN THE PACKAGE!!!
Cant wait till I use it lol!
No way. 99% of people don't know it exist and too many people have already posted they own one :)
It works great. I bought mine back in 2018 when working with sheet metal.
Sheet metal is one of those things me as a homeowner only works on every few years when I see something where it might work as a fix or on a roof. Then I go hunt down the hand shears and usually end up slicing my hand somehow in some way and try to remember the last time I had a tetanus shot and then find out my idea didn't work anyway in terms of a sheet metal fix... So, if this ONLY makes it so I don't have to hunt down those old manual shears AND reduces the odds of me cutting my hand/finger every few years, then I'm good to go for 43 bucks. You may feel the same...when you finally bust it open... AND HEY, you get to use a power tool in a new way. Doesn't get much better than that.
Hi there , I got one question about dewalt dcb500 110v adaptor for flexvolt mitre saw , the question is that can it be used on other flexvolt tools ?
@@miriamblack1285 That appears to be and adapter used with the dual energy source (battery or wallpower) flexvolt Miter saw. Apparently it is available in both US and European variants. There are no plugs...yet...on other FlexVolt tools per my understanding...

You cracked me up! Thanks for a great channel!
Yo cuz glad the video helped, always remember you’re not the average beer!
Weird. I have two metal stud garages to build this summer. Talked a lot about them today. Came home, to find this at the top of my CZcams feed. 5 minutes in, I’m on Amazon, and ordered this.
Did you have your phone on you when you were talking about it? Bit worrying
I’m a metal roofing contractor and the attachment is a must for clean cuts, especially valley end cuts that are visible to the public. Haven’t used the new Dewalt attachment but look forward to trying one out
I seen one of them the other day and I thought it was the coolest thing I was on the job with my old man and we both were like amazed the amish were using it
I've had one for a few months. Didn't realize how often I'd use it. Accidently found out it will cut two sheets of tin roofing at a time.
Grinder wheel does work, but dang does this tool work wonders!! Turns a metal roofing job into a quick and easier job
Standard air shears are faster and more durable, plus you can sharpen the blades, better tool for that
I was going to be hanging some pro rib steel. Do you think this would work good on that?
@@dh66 they both have their pros and cons, but this thing was a life saver when I was installing all the metal roofing and wall sheeting on a three story shop. I could cut pieces to size while I was in the scissor lift, and not have to worry about air lines or anything.

That Cerwin Vega! caught my eye...
I work in HVAC and cut ductwork everyday. I have about 3 different versions from different brands with my favorite being from malco. Has a separate handle for you to hold on to so you can guide it better, get more leverage and most importantly can twist the drill around while keeping the cutters in the same orientation to get into tight places. That dewalt version looks to me like its more for occasional or just straight cuts due it design. Seems great for the small cuts you did but anything more and I would get one with a handle.
What's the product name of the one off Malco
@@FlSHDlCKS malco ts1ls turbo shears, they work with impacts
I believe I've seen the Malco at the big orange home store. Near the plumbing tools.
I love the Malcos, the handle is great for making circular cuts and right angles. And replaceable blades
You Won me over with this attachment! Thx for sharing!
I bought this shear attachment to break down old metal roofing. It easily sliced through everything. I will say that it's got a learner's curve for how to manipulate the longer metal pieces and the tool itself, to keep the cut going continuously. For the price and the time saved it was definitely worth it for me. Smart thinking by DeWalt. This will save you a headache and your hands will thank you.
Thanks for the video Vince. I don't have that DeWalt attachment however I do have two different Malco drill attachments when is the Malco ts1 the other is the Malco tscm. The ts1 is Turbo shear first edition this is for your run-of-the-mill sheet metal and the tscm is Turbo Shear corrugated metal. Both are top-notch high quality tools. I have been running both of them for years ,and when I say years yeah I'm talking since I first started air conditioning back in 1999 is when I first got the ts1.. I got the tscm some years later. I highly recommend both malco products. although just the ts1 by itself is highly versatile and can also do the corrugated metal , just not as effectively meaning it is little more difficult than the dedicated tool but for Sheet Metal work it is top-notch. Malco makes a version of the ts1 that is very similar almost identical to that DeWalt that you have. I don't know the model because I don't have it but I've seen it and I have used it and to tell you the truth I don't like it as much as the ts1. I find it somewhat limiting in usefulness and efficiency because of the fact that it does not swivel independently of the drill or impact that is attached to.
Its a wonder he got all his fingers.

Thank you famous Amos!!
Vince your videos are great at showing us the newest tool accessories that are "Cutting" Edge Technology..! 👊
This attachments been out for a while it's true there's another Brand cost twice as much then this I never owed but seen videos of instead of clamping on the bottom of the battery it goes in the back of the tool like a drill of impact driver dewat version is really simple
I thought you said the model was “the wash River” 😭
I’m a sheet metal mechanic and this is a must have !!! Love it
I have that for back up incase my Malco craps out. I use it metal roofs and shingles. Nice video!🤙
Thanks for the video heading over to Amazon to grab one right now lol.
I've been using these for years to cute frp ( fiberglass reinforced plastic ) and absolutely love the things. I would definitely recommend using a screw gun instead of a drill, because drills generally don't have the rpms of screw guns. Awesome tool!
Nice. Does the blade stay sharp? Any need to sharpen etc?
your personality is like that elder brother in family, that go to him when any one is stuck. and you be cool man no worries. :)
Weird
Cool stuff but for very, very rough work, I'm a tinsmith and snips do just fine. Nice video buddy.
After ALL those years of struggling with snipping the flange off of pieces of track!!! Pretty cool DeWalt. Thanks Vince and God bless!! 😁👍✌️
Thank you David!
I love when you make these deals of the week videos! Keep it up, Vince!!
As someone who does a lot of framing with metal studs I’m very interested. This would work great especially for cutting metal studs off where someone wants a door somewhere in an existing wall. Also would work great when you only have to cut a handful of studs and don’t feel like dragging a heavy ass chop saw in for that few of cuts.
I'm a framer as well, this attachment is more for quick house work tbh, just get yourself a pair of electric shears for the site, which is what this attachment is emulating
I have zero need for this attachment.
But I am going to buy it the next time I’m at the store.
Because what if you need it and you don't have it?
atta guy!!
indulge that curiousity to the level of need, even if it's only a want to see.
or Buy it at Wal-Mart w a credit card, use it till the curiousity is fufilled & return it the next day for a full refund. 😉
they sell power shears for metal roofs and sheet metal. I've used many times Hitachi shears
I'm a union carpenter and I do metal studs and we use metal shears for heavy gauge flat metal all the time but there's definitely a difference between shears and this attachment.... This attachment design seems to be more like tin snips which is a good thing for cutting metal studs... I think I'll buy me one and try it out
I’ve had Malco turbo shears for a few years now and I love em. Don’t use them everyday but they are in my handyman box and still work great.
They are extremely useful for metal roofs. Before the attachment I used an air powered pair that does the same thing.
When you snip metal all day, you never realize how strong your grip gets until you shake someones hand and they proceed to try and squeeze harder themselves haha. Tinner life
Vince....Dewalt also makes a Right angle drill attachment similar to those shears
The right angle drill attachment is Awesome!! Saves me so much time and frustration all the time!!
I've got one of these, but it's used for cutting FC, stuff like soffit. Malco makes it, it beats using a saw or a grinder. It makes it so much faster, highly recommend.
Picked up one on amazon for $37 last week. Been ripping steel barn siding with it. Not too shabby, not quite as good as the one my uncle has, can’t tell you the brand anymore, but beats the hell out of running tin snips across a 3’ piece of siding.
I think any duct worker would love that.
I've used the Malco version but this one seems to cut a little smoother.
We do.
Bought a cutter from the competition and let me be clear, you need this one. I needed to cut wire fence many times and was slaving away for four hours with just metal shears. Got this beauty and it is a game changer!
I just purchased one of these. They're universal, and fit competitor impact drivers as well.
Honestly, one of the best outros I've ever seen
🤣🤣🤦♂️
It's a turbo shear . Malco tools make something similar to this without all the attachments. They are around $60/80 . Most HVAC supply houses sell them .
And there not all plastic either
That DeWalt impact driver pivot brace!!! That's exactly what I've been looking for. Thanks for the video!
Thank you for the video! Especially the breakdown for what drills it will work with. There is a bunch of mixed reviews on Amazon. Needing to customize your drill for it to fit
4:48 convinced he left that in to get me to comment but I don't care. I was like wonder how that does on fingers...
every hvac guy knows about this thing, and we go and buy the malco one after this one breaks.
You were correct. I did not know this attachment existed. Thanks!
I bought one. Should receive it in a few days :D
I wish he showed a close up of how clean the cuts were once he got used to it. I'd like to use it on automotive sheet metal, but it'd be more useful if it doesn't maim the panels while it cuts
Just cut inside more so and use the grinder to get closer or use the grinder like a god
I use a tool I call a nibbler, it's basically a hole punch which presses out lots of little half moons (they are sharp and horrible put a magnetic on the metal near the cut, top tip), it leaves a really good edge and doesn't deform the metal at all and it makes great corners...👍👌👍
Mine is air powered!
@@EZ-D-FIANT I've heard of a nibbler, but never used one. Thanks for the idea!
@@Winglessflight97 they are amazing honestly I can't recommend one enough, but remember the magnet thing especially if you have animals around the workshop!
Av fun bud....👍👌👍
Question is can it be operated with one hand after he cuts the other one off?
I bought one of these a year or so ago and they work well.
Bought one of these to help with standing seam roofing. I had to buy a second one for my boss so he we stop using mine. Great attachment right here.
Vince enjoyed the video and the attachment I would use, thanks
The dewalt shears work very well, I've used them a lot. But I have to say, they work substantially better with a drill not an impact.
obviously you're going to have the variable speeds with a drill so you think it would work better but you can actually burn it out faster and the impact can take more of a beating from using a metal shears and cutting thicker gauges
@@truckloadofrhymes1 this is not my opinion its with actual experience, been using it for 3 months now daily and the drill has worked substantially better.
I’d say the Same thing in my personal experience 2+ years I’ve had this thing drill just does it better the impact doesn’t feel right and just doesn’t work as good
Also I’m an iron worker with 6 years experience. These nibblers get in spots shears ain’t going. And as I said with the variable speed impact you can go fast for efficiency or slow for nice tight cuts.
Ive only used one of these once. I have a malco one and that thing is awesome all metal, no plastic, its more stubby and swivels more (i believe) great for tight places. I love my malco too much to make tha switch to that dewalt one. All my tools are dewalt and malco (i do hvac)
OMG!! So buying this. Thanks for showing this. Love this attachment. Plus everything I own is dewalt
Nice Keith!!
Anyone else find it odd that this isn’t compatible w/ DeWalt’s own DCF887 impact, Hmm....wondering as to why🤣🤣
Also, Vince, when you said item/model number is DWASHRIR....I was like, “HUH”...he’s making it up or playing a joke on us all. Well, I guess not😉. Thx for sharing your wondrous knowledge with us all 👍🏻(not being facetious)
Cheers✌🏻
It is compatible with the DCF887. Just because it's not explicitly listed, doesn't mean it's not compatible. They can't list every single screw gun that is compatible with.
@@xenonram also the compatibility on the packaging is usually out of date by the time in is released. That is not even exclusive to tools.
Andrew Delashaw Yes I know this, lol....was just playing with 887.....but the 885 & 886 or on there which I believe were released after 887, least 885 was?....... But yes, it does state on DeWalt’s website that this: “Works with most 18V-20V impact driver and drill tool brands” (direct from the site).....
Cheers✌🏻
Another high-quality Malco sheet metal drill attachment that I absolutely love actually I have two of them there two different sizes it is the Malco hc1 and hc2 basically the hc1 goes up to a 12 inch circle can THC to will cut a hole up to 20 in
I doubt it's made by Malco.
@@xenonram you doubt what is made by Malco the hc1 and hc2 are definitely made by Malco , so is the other two tools that are mentioned the ts1 and the tscm
Gotta give you props Vince this was a cool attachment. I remember cutting lath with a grinder all the sparks hitting me in the face, not cool burns and stings and this will take all the sting cutting lath.
J]must spotted the Cerwin Vegas behind you Vince. Gotta love that bass...
that DWASHRIR can be translated to "DW" standing for DeWalt, "A" standing for attachment, "SHR" standing for sheer, and "IR" standing for impact ready. they don't use those "codes" for nothing... there is also make a FAR better tool for cutting sheet metal and the like, they're called "nibblers" and you can do FAR more than you can with a sheer!
Nice code breakdown. Nibblers are slow, detail cutters and most other powered shears are the loose, double cutting kind for speed that can't do edges and corners well, if at all, so these have their place, kind of an in-between tool.
You know what’s a beast....?
Them CV’s in the background.
When the bass kicks in and the vegas are pumping.
I just finished a job with this tool and it cut my cutting time in half of better. I wasn't sold when I seen it initially. But it proved it's worth to go in my toolbox. I used it on my Makita Drill. The Makita as you know, has 2 gears. In 2nd, it was plenty fast enough. Would rip through it with an impact, I didn't try though. I used it to cut roofing metal. It cuts straight as you let it, in the ribs can be tricky but you get used to it. I wouldn't recommend speeding through it. Even though it will.
These knibblers work great use them on vinyl siding and metal roofing
Can you please review the Dewalt cordless compressor I trust your opinion......
AVE reviewed it and its verry bad if i remember
@@pierlucricher3376 It said in description "I wasn't expecting much and this lives up to those expectations." What do you expect from the small air compressor?

Then I went over the neighbors house and asked them "hey do you guys need anything sheared off over here?". I was like a mad man I just couldn't stop shearing. I ended up in shearing anonymous. 3 months now shear free now.
joedmac78 it does look addictive. Lol
I use these for metal roofing on 27 gauge metal, but we always rotate it so you hold the drill upside down so the weight of the battery is on top, makes it a little easier
Have one for over a year, and use it a lot.
No way. 99% of people don't know it exist and too many people have already posted they own one :)
I guess 887 wasn't on list because it go up in smoke & that would be abusing the tool
Interesting that the 887 is not on the list... And I just found another online reviewer who is a Ryobi fanboy and ran it against an 887 made it smoke with a lot less effort than VCG. That's like three online reviewers who have gotten smoke out of one. I bought one to test it against the 885 and you put em side by side and tell me I can choose just before I gotta put a few hundred screws into something and I'll go 885 every day...and I haven't even made my 887 smoke and likely never will as I won't be using it. I'll let whoever helps me with my deck next year use it...
Amazing that he got through this video without needing a band-aid at a minimum.
Thats actually pretty badass I cut 18 gage with my snips and it sucks but also the snips never last more than a week with 18 gage. Especially when your making those long cuts around pipes
