    Haven't used a contour gauge in years...brought back memories...not all of them pleasant...lol

    I have a similar one to the Empire. I use masking tape to "lock" my shape.

    I have a no name made in Japan one from the 60's. Don't use it often, but it has come in handy. Only thing I've used it for is molding and vinyl tile work.

    Funny thing. There was an add for a new plastic version of the traditional wire contour gauge before your video.

    Once again, I have never seen this tool before. It is pretty cool and I am sure it could come in handy at times. I think the one with the screw down holder would be nice for me haha I am sure I would bump it out of the correct contour shape haha. Thanks for the video and cheers.

    i use a plastic version all the time.....
