The picture of Buzz's girlfriend is actually a picture of one a crew members son. They thought it would be mean to have an actual girl described as woof.

That is actually really thoughtful of them, kid probably seen it as play joke, and if it was some real girl. Imagine 10 year later (especially considering how popular movie is) being a kid girl that they all laughed and still laugh how ugly you are.
@@madzec exactly. It was for fun and games for a movie and I'm sure they didn't want 3 seconds of a scene to work on a young girls self-esteem for life.
I loved Mom's laughter. That made watching this again for the 40th time so worth it.

Joe Pesci and Daniel Stern, Harry and Marv, deserve a lot of credit. They could have easily either not given any effort since it was a family movie, or hammed it up so much they were obnoxious. Instead, they were perfect. Funny and over the top but at the perfect level.
Stern is hilarious in Bushwacked, too.
Home Alone 2 is an AMAZING sequel! It is not any less funny or wholesome! I'm sure you would love it just as much! (:

@@jp3813 Turtle Doves were just okay. Old man in 1 was way better done, Church scene was amazing, and his ending was 10/10. Nothing in Home Alone 2 tops the church scene in 1, IMO.
Love this movie, it never gets old!..I grew up watching it and still do every Christmas. Loved how it cracked kimmy and mom up 😊

Right now, Catherine O'Hara (Kevin's mom) doing a throwback commercial with Kevin Hart in reference to Kevin (Mcauly Culkin) for Chase. Catherine makes her kids watched this classic holiday movie every Christmas
I saw that commercial a couple days ago. Made made me smile.
This is why I love reactions. I watch Home Alone every Christmas multiple times since I was a kid, I can keep up with the dialogue. But to experience movies/shows through others bring back the original joy of the 1st time watching it ❤️

This isn't one I watch often for the holidays, but I do enjoy it, along with the second one. There aren't any others as far as I'm concerned 😄 Such a great cast! And I always forget John Candy's in it too 😃

By far one of my favorite Christmas movies alongside it's sequel, Lost in New York. I just love the performance of Macaulay Culkin and Christopher Columbus direction, that makes this film a timeless classic during the Holidays.
It's crazy that last year was the film's 30th Anniversary and next year will be the 2nd film's 30th Anniversary.

I would love to see you guys watch "The Ref" with Dennis Leary and Kevin Spacey. It's a great change of pace Christmas movie. It's rated R but it's still a family movie. Not in the sense that you can watch it with your family that has children but rather it's about a family. One of my favs!

yay they gang back together and one of my fav movies. Havent been on the channel for a bit but this is a good one to start a sunday channel binge session. Happy Holidays!
Fast fact, in another marriage, and under a different name, the mother also had another child named "Lydia Deetz". But apparently after a failed art career, and scandal involving her daughter being engaged to a ghost, she left the family and became a part of the McCallister family. Sadly, after several years with this family and losing her son twice, she became a ragdoll of her former self, and began hanging around a thin and tall guy named "Jack", where she helped in a kidnapping/Santa-napping plot. Despite her part in the crime, she became involved in law, and became a judge, until a 'A Series of Unfortunate Events', when she tried to marry a 14 year old girl to a 42 year old guy. Last I heard, in 2021 her status had been changed io "Extinct".

RIP to both of them.
2, The the items in Kevin's bags were all empty and not the same as what he had a checkout.
3. There's NO WAY Kevin could clean up that fast.
4. Macaulay Culkin worked with John Candy (and Hughes) in Uncle Buck.
That's how he got this gig.

so I think I have a bit in common with you, mom is in her 70s, dad in the 80s older brother 7 yrs older and went to graphic design school and sculpt, but I am 47, so as bit older than Storm, but relate with her most.

Always a classic. This is what all future attempts to recapture the magic are missing: The child gets mad and wishes his family was gone but then has to 'grow up' and run things by himself which develops him into a more likeable character as he realizes his mistake. It's not JUST the part with the burglars and traps. Making an entire movie out of that one part does not work.
