The fact that there are employees that don't know that Gavin hates wet bread is wild to me when I remember they had to tell people that if they showed him/gave him wet bread at RTX they'd be banned.
For real? I always wanted to cosplay as a piece of bread and pour water all over my self when I got to the front of the Slow Mo Guys Q&A
@@Sogard22 If you're being serious, yes it was a real rule that they had because so many people were showing Gavin for a laugh
@@cloeypierce8055 Do you have like a journal or podcast post for this? The only type of thing I can remember like that was them having to make a post about assaulting members because people had a 'haha funny joke' plan to throw wet bread at Gav the one year
When Gus looked at Blaine and said "Do you not think Mexicans eat beans for breakfast??" I l o s t it!! LMFAO
It would've been racist if Blaine said it to be fair, ha ha
This was hilarious , get em gus
Poor Blaine. Just trying to not upset anyone like a good bean
@@FactoryDan ha.
The weirdest part is Blaine has lived in Austin forever! Breakfast tacos are a staple! Lolll
Gavin gagging and Barbara knowing exactly why in seconds is a testament to their friendship
Good Saturday my dear friend,, how are you and the weather conditions over there ??
I'm late to the vid, but I agree. I wish I have a friendship with that much honesty and knowledge of the other.
10:21 I'm just so happy that wet bread is still a thing and it was so natural too
Im saying! MAY THE RT LORE NEVER DIE
Gav: "Yeah just get me some Heinz baked beans and some toast"
Eric: "Okay I will provide neither."
Can’t wait for the 1000th episode where we will have a bean steak pancake off
6 years away and I'm ready!
Bernie was there, don’t ask me how or why. I am taking about the 1,000 podcast.
6 years? Whoa. Pretty hype. That would be awesome, lol.
"Do you not think Mexican's eat beans for breakfast?!" I felt that one LOLL
As a South Texas Mexican similar to Gus, My favorite breakfast was refried beans and crispy bacon in a flour tortilla. Now I'm gonna go make beans....
I love that not only did Gavin not get a British style Heinz baked beans, but instead got a really super sweet ultra American style can of baked beans, which is the complete opposite of what pretty much any British person would consider a good can of beans.
You do know Heinz is American right?
Heinz is an American company in Pittsburgh PA.
@@Samulise thank you for your service, sir! Also, Bush's baked beans are the best option presented here. Britain is world renowned for their lackluster cuisine.
@@Sogard22 beans on toast is only acceptable with Heinz baked beans. Sorry
@@Sogard22 this is a bit of an odd one tbf. There aren’t many “British foods” but that’s down to the fact we have such a diverse country with pretty much every cuisine you can think of.
That whole British empire era had its bonuses
Bean off seems way more fun than a steak off with all 4 going at it
"f you don't specify, you lose out, and sometimes if you specify you lose out" a Gavin sentence that actually makes sense...
Gavin gagging never fails to make me laugh and I don't know why
All accidental too
The man has a pretty low gag threshold, and it's almost guaranteed comedy lmao
It's one of my favourite recurring gags.
I always thought the wet bread thing was a running joke from 10 years ago, turns out it’s a real thing
"I just used nature's napkins" ~throws bread in bin of bean juice~ gavin is truly his own worst enemy
33:40 the sweetest thing ever 🥺
The expression on Gus’s face when Blaine says Gavin has the most bean experience was like a character in a film just before they totally snap.
Gavin really bringing that F**kface energy to the RT Podcast.
At least there's no way he could ever salad-cream beans on toast
@@UriasJD Especially when Eric already salad-creamed it by getting Gavin the wrong beans
@@JustSomeDamnGinger No one anticipates beans on toast being good tho, so it's ok
Blaine getting roasted by Gus had me in tears
Gavin: Hates wet bread
Also Gavin: Uses bread as a napkin
Yooooo Gustavo is making "Frijoles charros" Hell yeah!!
Gavin: I want Heinz beans.
Eric: We already have beans at home.
I genuinely didn't think we'd actually get a bean episode.
Oh man, for like a fraction of a second I thought Andrew was Burnie...
not even 10 mins into the podcast and Eric is losing his mind xD love it!
When it comes to British food and Gavin talking about it, I am recently reminded of this wonderful moment from Restaurant Rivals: Irvine vs Taffer. The short is on Discovery Plus' YT channel if you want to get a chuckle. Here is a transcript from it for those who may want a quick laugh.
Jon Taffer: You're an English guy. You all chug beer for a living over there because you have some of the worst food in the world over there.
Robert Irvine: Listen! The top 10 restaurants in the world are in London!
JT: And what type of food do they make?
RI: French
Both: *Burst out laughing*
yeah, british food is known for being bland and basic. i think they basically just kept eating the same stuff people had to eat during war rationing times
The British Empire literally conquered the world's spice cabinet, and then figuratively said "I'm not having any of it"
@@Sogard22 More like "literally" if they're not using it.
@@Sogard22 wrong but okay
Barbara just going “oop” at the hidden fart was SOOOOOO funny to me
I'm so glad I've been here for 700 episodes. :) So much entertainment over the years. Thanks RT Podcast!
I vote for the Jerk Off… where everyone seasons and prepares their own jerky..
I just want to say my life has been so busy the past few years and I went from an everyday roosterteeth watcher to almost not at all. Just happened to catch this video and I really enjoyed it and missed you guys!
The next "off" should be a Jack Patillo costume contest. It could be the first annual Rooster Teeth company Jack-off.
They already do it at RTX
This was such a great episode of the podcast - the bean idea worked out great, it seemed like everyone (even Eric) was in a good mood because of how it went, and the show overall was just solid. Really great to see the show is still entertaining after 700 episodes and 4 Gus-decades.
I would love to see a "dip" podcast
Should invite Geoff for his F**kFace tater tot recipe
Can we just have a food podcast? Oh wait...
We have this food in Australia called jaffles. And it’s like a toasted sandwich but the bread forms more of a pocket kind of thing. And hands down Heinz baked bean in jaffles are my favourite go to when I can’t be bothered cooking
The shout out to Kerry gold butter made my day. Irish dairy for the win.
Grilled Cheese Off! French toast! Regular sandwich? Mashed potatoes? I agree with an Egg Off and SoupOff, soup could be done many many times with different recipes… could do something baked so the assembly/mixing is in the first part, dish cooks in the middle part, tasting in the last part. Also a potluck podcast??
Also I will say this has been a fantastic episode, love it so much.
I agree with the rice off. Works so well.
Gavin and Eric really just sounding like they're on F*ckface instead of the RT podcast, especially after all the food episodes
I am eating steak and potatoes and now after watching this i have to go back to the store to buy ingredients to make bean dip because this episode got me craving it.
I think for the next food off I would love to see them do fondue... Could do a cheese as well as chocolate...or have each person pick a different country and make a signature dish from that country
This is more entertaining than just conversation. Do something like this more often
Each cook by their cooking personality:
Gus: Makes sure not to cross-contaminate the cilantro w/ the knife that cut raw bacon 👍🏾
Gavin: Wretches from wet bread mid-cook, but loves his creation 😆
Barbara: Quickest to finish since her dip didn’t need 🔥
Andrew: Took the longest cooking, but he tastes his food as he cooks it 😋👨🏻🍳
So crazy that I started watching this podcast before episode 300. I remember when it came out and I was like whoa, that's crazy! Haha. Such a great thing to listen to every week. I love it!
There is definitely native American rice. Wild rice is a crop indigenous to North America and many tribes cooked it with. I recommend checking out the book The Sioux Chef's Indigenous Kitchen. It's a cook book that only uses ingredients that the Sioux tribe had access to pre-colonization!
I love the thought of a Rice-Off
It turns out the RT Podcast is the best cooking show on the internet
I'm hoping Gus and Andrew will share their bean recipes for everyone to try themselves.
Justice for Gavin's beans
I watched this podcast on my TV and now I’m getting tons of ads for Bush’s beans. Thanks guys
Congratulations on Podcast 700! been listening and watching since the early 50's (that sounded weird and too old! haha)
I ran downstairs and prepared beans on toast (with the appropriate beans) to enjoy in the festivities. I loved the variety of dishes. Beans.
Best podcast in a while Gavin’s beans were so good
He's doubling down on it LMAO
Macaroni and Cheese for the next OFF! Its an easy setup, several people would probably use the same ingredients, minimal ingredients, and low danger level. Everyone does mac n cheese differently so you'll have a nice variety :D
Congrats on 700!
A Potato off would be interesting, so many options.
"Sometimes you specify, you lose out"
the largest baby ever measured, in the distance: DIDNT HAVE IT
I feel with Barbara, did something very similar only I was in shoes and carrying buckets of water up stairs, I was going down the very wet stairs when I fell, so much pain.
i cant stop laughing at the Gavins beans on toast, i'm crying
Fun to watch them preparing food in their own ways
"What are you doing? how is this better!?" LMAO i love eric
the fact that I'm almost 15 minutes in to this bean centric podcast with Gavin on it and there has been no mention on the Bean Hole is mind blowing to me. I figured they'd bring it up almost immediately
I love the pasta idea
Everyone laughing at Chris for eating cold beans, but cold beans are amazing :D
I thought that was Burnie for a second and was so excited
I love how Barbara finishes talking about her cooking prowess, then IMMEDIATELY spills beans juice everywhere!!!
This feels like a really long Eric Andre show
Do an egg off next! Then Gavin can do a toad in a hole and put beans on it!
I legit would wathc the RT podcast with Andrew on the side making beans as they chat. Beanmode Andrew is just friggin perfect.
Beans and eggs, chilaquiles with beans and eggs, eggs and bean burrito, enfrijoladas, quesadillas with beans, ...the list goes on 🤣
Now Gus is the Bean Master too.
this has bean a very solid podcast, 9/10.
Uncle Roger gonna have a field day with the rice-off
Gg to 700!!!
Nigerian here. Jollof rice is actually pronounced closer to "juh-LOF".
I didn't expect to be interested enough to watch more than 5 minutes. I'm now almost 25 minutes in
I would like to see a Casserole-Off
This has been my first podcast in a while, so when I saw Andrew, I thought he was Burnie amd I freaked out.
I love this
Now this is the perfect 4 for the podcast
People like bean shirt plz
People Like Beans
(but not on toast)
8:22 what a spin move
living legends
Man man man Chris is something else ❤❤
It’s cool and also INSANE to see how others cook/prefer their beans
Gavin using bread as a napkin LMAO
Well that was fun.
Didn't realize people actually did all this with beans... I'm over here eating original bush's baked beans heated and straight from the can haha
I love how Gavin gags immediately as Barb starts pouring the bean juice onto the trash bread but he is completely ok with having soggy ass beans on toast.....
. . . . Gavin's " HasBEAN " scented candle . . . . Now in the Rooster Teeth Store . 😂😂😂
We need a surf and turf off.
They gotta bring back burnie for their 1000th ep, and rename that ep to the drunk tank , would lowkey be the greatest thing ever in RT history
Barbara works for Big Bean because hers convinced me to go buy beans and salsa and make a bean dip immediately. The marketing worked
I admit, would be fun to see a pasta-off.
Haven’t watched this podcast in forever also thought Andrew was burnie 😩😂
Adding one potato to anything soupy will help absorb if you accidentally over salted.. and just remove potato when soft and discard. Boom salt fix
Id be down for a chili cook off
48:25 HOW DID THEY ALL MISS THAT?!
BANGERZ ONLY
Gavin reminds me of James May cooking beans in the bugout bunker. Though I doubt HHM caries Lurpak Spreadable Butter. "Flood the cowling. Plenty of it."
gus saying joloff rice was interesting lol
Seeing beans on toast on a podcast blew my mind, such a great meal in the UK
Shame they didn't get the true beauty of Heinz beans
