    Thank you, CBS, for allowing Fab on. Milli Vanilli was denied the global fame they earned. It's about time they got it.

    Watched the documentary this weekend and it was excellent. Fabrice is an inspiring force of nature who never gave up, and he was a very engaging narrator in the documentary too. And let it be known, for once and for all, Fabrice has a GREAT singing voice. Just check out the clip at the end of this documentary if you don't believe me!

    These guys got such a bad rap. The Label/Record Execs knew what was going on and they just led them to destruction. Glad this documentary released.

    Recommend this documentary a must watch! When it comes to the Grammy Award why don’t they give it to the original artists who sang and to Rob and Fab for performance and sales! That would fix everything but these executives are just being stupid it’s a simple fix its not that hard to correct!

    I'm glad that Luke call out on Clive Davis, who let go of so many talented artists in the 80's and 90's, for example, Talor Dayne, Expose, Deborah Cox. They all had a string of top 10 hits, but once their albums stopped producing top 10 hits, they got kicked out Arista Records. Also, the Whitney Houston Biopic made him look like a super nice guy caring much about Whitney. But in fact he pushed Whitney to go out on the tour according to the contract when she did not feel comfortable doing it. That might cause Whitney to overuse her voices and had to rely on drugs to boost performance, which ultimately led to her death.

    Rip Rob. Although he suffered from the humiliation I feel like Fab suffered the most because he could sing. He would have been big had they trained him and brought another singer who actually did the voice. Yes Rob was sexy and his light eyes brought in the audience but Fab lost his true calling and career and was shunned forever.

      Milli Vanilli was over but certainly not Fabs career. Took him a few years to get back on his feet but he has been recording and releasing music since the 90s. He's currently working on a new project that will be released soon x

    Great documentary and the vitriol Rob and Fabrice faced was so over the top. Figures Farian was too much of a coward to face the cameras and own up to his part in this. At the end of the day who cares who sang on the record those songs were and still are fantastic. Thank you Fab and Rob (RIP) for the great videos.

    Interesting. Ok, so here's the thing. Who signed them? Who was the President of they label during the _Girl You Know it's True_ era? Google the record and the label they were signed to. When you see the name of they label, tell me w/ a straight face that the President had no clue about what was going on. "HE" was the one behind all of that drama. He used Milli Vanilli up and left them out to dry. Few years later, they went on to victimized po' TLC. Anyhow, I'm not mad at Milli Vanilli because the same thing that got them blackballed, indefinitely, ended up turning Jennifer Lopez into a global icon. Nah, what about C+C Music Factory? Who signed them? Who was the President of they label? Do 1 + 1 always equal 2? Throw that boomerang and you tell me.

      Exactly, if Frank Farian really was lying to Clive Davis, why didn't he prosecute him for fraud? Might be because if you remove the bottom card, the entire house falls.

    See here's the problem I have with what Morvan is saying. So many artists get the credit for a music's success when it is really a creation of the producers. Morvan is fine with that, but doesn't think he sure burden the blame when things go wrong.

    • @400_billion_suns

      You should watch the documentary. These guys were naive and Farian was a predator who boxed them into a contract before they even knew what was going on. Then he used the money he'd paid them as a threat against them since they were now indebted to him. And it wasn't just Rob and Fab who got the raw deal in this. Farian discarded the people who actually did the real singing too. He's a snake.

    They did it pretty authentic and noone really expected it ..
    But they repented and its a fact they are legends. Its now the question what to learn out of it.
    Its an example how important the relationship to our heavenly Father is. Noone really talks about that point.

    I'm not sure how race got into this discussion but these two singers were held responsible for their own actions: conspiracy of deception. That being said everybody's doing it now. They're all lip syncing or cheating using auto-tune

    • @reidflemingworldstoughestm1394
      @reidflemingworldstoughestm1394 Před 9 měsíci +10

      No, they took the blame for the entire scheme, not just the blame for being minor pawns in that scheme, which is what they were. Also MV was not called out for lip synching, they were called out for misrepresenting who the actual singers on the studio recording were.

    • @delynnhuff5806
      @delynnhuff5806 Před 9 měsíci +1

      Race is involved because Frank Farian, the producer, exploited numerous black entertainers both before and after Milli Vanilli. He was the master mind, made tons of money and got off scot free. Also the record labels knew what was going on and escaped blame.

    "We never got to hear your side of the story." What?! They did have a press conference on November 15th, 1990 explaining it EXACTLY as it's portrayed in the documentary and coming biopic. The only problem was THE PRESS ATE THEM ALIVE and ignored most of their explanation.
    Instead, they opted to continue to portray these young men as villains as if they could POSSIBLY have forced the producers to produce them, or have been able to hide that they didn't sing from the man at the controls in the recording studio they were never allowed into! The media was HORRIBLE to these two. The media are not without blame for Rob's death.
    I am thrilled that they're finally getting some mainstream time to tell us all what happened, even though they've BEEN telling us for decades. I recognize this reporter was not around 35 years ago, he is not at fault but do some research, bro, because your previous generation of news people WAS.
    RIP Rob. You have not been forgotten. ❤💔❤‍🩹❣
