Exploring With Josh whoa😮
@Exploring With Josh What's crazy is that Shaun White hat on the pedistool thing that you mentioned about the cross that used to be there, kinda freaked me out because I live in Pennsylvania but a kid stole that hat that I had back in Middle school, in 8th grade he moved to somewhere in Alabama. I doubt it but there is a chance that that is where my hat ended up..
Exploring With Josh omgggg how aren’t above pewdiepie you are literally sooooo amazing
Any body know the link to the guys video??
You should come to Georgia where I live there are abandoned houses cemeteries etc everywhere
Watching this i just got hit by a wave of sadness. Knowing there were bodies that were forgotten and left behind is so awful.
Me too
We don’t know they were forgotten or left behind.
And also the fact that people just opened the caskets and did God knows what to the bodies, totally disregarding the fact that probably a lot of people loved and respected the person who had died.
One day all of us will be forgotten but it's not saddening it's just the nature of life☺
flower child yeah but these people were probably forgotten earlier than normal.
I love how Josh is so respectful of these places. Even if he touches things he doesn't really move then from their original spot. I have a lot of respect for Josh. His videos are so interesting too because he gives the back story of the places!

At 8:25 casket on the right.
You can see where the body had been laying and where "seepage" of bodily fluids transferred into the fabric.
It’s sludge from the chemicals of the body’s😂it’s gross to think about
Omg I didn’t even catch that
Ewwwwww shut uuupp X0
@@saltytears4711 umm not pores body cavities
Can someone please explain to me what "seepage" and "bodily fluids" are? I'm not english haha
those stains in the caskets were not dust but rather dried decomposition fluid...depending on ventiliation of the mauseleum the decomposition gases may have caused the lids of the caskets to blow off, sadly making it easier for the robbers to defile the caskets and the bodies
Lady Raiden Returns1 I was just thinking about that... most mausoleums are like sealed individual crypts with drainage and ventilation.. so how did caskets just sitting on scaffolding work?🤔🤔🤔🤔🤔
I was just about to say this! Since the body liquified as it decomped it seeped into the caskets
Lady Raiden Returns1 ewww disturbing...
The bodies were already in bags when they were found. You can find the images online.
What 7:53
I was in the death industry for 25 years. Those rusted out caskets were absolutely the ones that bodies were sealed in. You can see the imprint of the head and other heavier parts where decomposition was taking place. This is so undignified for those poor souls. I hope they are finally at peace. Great find and story josh!
Rectangle: casket
5 edges: coffin
Also no, that's no dust. When a body rots, bacteria turn the inside of the body into a foul liquid sludge which produces lots of gas and rips open the body. The sludge is what stains the satin in the caskets. That's not rust or dust. It's sludge. 🙂
Coffins have 6 sides but yeah
@Ayden Lohman I'm sure they just made a typo without realizing it; the numbers are right next to each other after all
@Ayden Lohman just because u got roasted u say it's a joke..
Kinda more like soap from adipose..
Marjorie Schreurs we call it “purge” over here (UK) and you are correct in regards to what happens as decomposition progresses. I’m guessing that body wasn’t embalmed properly or if at all, would hate to see what’s in the closed casket. Coffin does have 6 sides tho btw, (I am an embalmer but started off as an undertaker which involved fitting coffins). A properly embalmed body would not have any signs of purge
Josh is so brave he just damn freakin go in a abandoned funeral unlike other explorers Josh is the best
justine somcio I wouldn’t call that bravery ? Sure it’s something not everyone is able to do but bravery is when you go risk your own life to protect your country ? Or you run into a burning building to save a life you don’t even know ? Not go into a building that’s been abandoned ?
More like... not afraid to run into something bad
Isabella Humphreys um... bravery can be in many forms hun.
Isabella Humphreys I really don’t understand the point in you even commenting that😂
@@sxvgrxy i agree😎
Hopefully it’s nothing like the Funeral Home/Crematorium here in Georgia, where they found over 100 bodies just dumped all around the property. The Funeral director quit doing the cremations and just dumped the bodies, giving the families an Urn full of concrete dust... by the way, the reason there is always a back room in a Mausoleum/Vault is to maintain the bodies. Bodies stink and breakdown as they decay causing leakage if the casket doesn’t seal properly. Clearly you don’t want body sludge running down the fronts of your marble in your Mausoleum where mourners are coming to visit their dearly departed. There should have been drains in the back where they could wash away any such accidents. Typically body’s are placed within Funeral bags to help prevent such leakage, but if the Vault isn’t kept cool enough, the sealed casket can turn into a pressure cooker and built up gassed can literally blow the lids off.. lol, just a bit of FYI
I watched a show on that. It was the most disturbing thing.. he had bodies everywhere. I would be afraid I would be haunted If I desecrated a body or 100s
Well put!
I remember hearing about that. there are some sick and twisted people in the world that have no respect for no one or anything
Good ole tristate
the from that about heard CZcamsr "ask a mortician". I think it was over 300 bodies, including some in a pond, garage, & even hanging out of the cremation machine. The director was creamating some people, but to save $ he dumped some bodies & used concrete dust for the urns. I believe it was called tri-state. Director served 12 years.
i fr respect you. other youtubers go somewhere like this and make jokes. but you actually respect it. others would have probably opened that closed casket and looked inside, but out of respect, you didn’t. major respect for you!
Jessica lynn they might have even sat in the caskets but good thing he was respectful ✊🏻

Gee rams evil people like you exist ,don’t suprise me
@@christinashrigs You mean Logan Paul?
I just realized something, the world is actually made of money.
Our birth cost money, and the rest of our lives was worrying about money. Some of us lose lives because of money, or feel that we're greater or worse if we do or don't have money.
OUR DEATH COST MONEY. The world is pretty bad and unstable..
CinnamonDoodle yup!!
I mean in the UK NHS is free
The one reason of many why I’m thankful my daughter doesn’t want kids. Not because I don’t love kids, because I love kids.
In islam it doesnt cost you money
We were all born here the same... The world belongs to all of us.. but we have to pay for everything of this world.
Whenever I see stuff like this it makes me so freaking sad because we all know that right now there’s a significant amount of people whom just lost a loved one due to old age, suicide, murder, accidental, etc., and are not only suffering emotionally, but financially as well. One of the most difficult things to deal with in these situations, is trying to figure out how you’re going to afford to bury that person when you don’t even have a pot to piss in yourself. These caskets should be donated to help those that really need it, to allow them to grieve without the constant stress and worry about how you’re going to give your loved one the ceremony and burial that they deserve.
Lo Ko totally agree ✅✅✅✅✅✅
There’s a thing called life insurance. Plan ahead and don’t count on others to think for you. Give up a few cappuccino ‘s and you can easily buy your own life insurance for what you paid for your Starbucks habit
Most people wouldn’t like the thought of burying their loved one in a pre-owned casket that has previously contained a stranger’s body
and you also need to think about the fact that most funeral plans need to be bought earlier in life and you need to keep paying it until something actually happens. If you buy a funeral plan right on the spot when a tragedy happens, it’s so much more expensive and sometimes it’s not even ready for when you need it.
dude those caskets were already used for a long time and someone who died in one of those caskets already rotted there thats why it has a lot of dirt or fluid thingys.
The "occupied" caskets were indeed on the scaffolding. I saw that video

Natalie Olson exactly and then I’m wondering like what happens when we die. Is that just it? It’s all scary.
David A As long as you can fine peace in death
To Allah we belong and to Allah we return. When a person dies thats when the real eternal life and reality will begin. This life is a test, its deceiving and so so short. If we fail to worship Allah swt then the moment a person dies is when the punishment will begin. The angel of death will take your soul as you die and if you are a disbeliever then it will be ripped out and very painful. I can only advise people who are not Muslim to do your research before its too late.
Why do we worry about one Day it will happen definitely
ASSASSINO DO BLUEZÃO my brother died and literally no one forgot about him. Some people are so important it happens. You see some celebrity legends that passed away never got forgotten why? Because they did something good

Mr. Arnold I know, right? I was thinking the same thing!
@@katichu3911 me too, It had to be a really bad smell. I would like to know.
Well since most bodies are embalmed they don't rot very fast depending on heat levels
Nope but there is still a death smell .
@@maryfarrar9514 it showed in the add that embalming was "not necessary" and it looked like they didn't do it to cut down cost. Which is how they were able to charge a flat rate.
That blue one doesn't have rust on it...caskets don't rust, and bodies that are decomposing have sludge. That back room should've been cold. So the sludge that didn't run out of the casket.
The flier at 12:05 talks about how cemeteries are abandoned and forgotten as time goes by, suggesting that the people buried there will also soon be forgotten. It was being used to scare people into getting laid to rest in their mausoleum instead. It’s really ironic when you consider the fact that once they closed down, they just left the bodies there to be forgotten about for years on end. It’s really sad to see that their fears ended up becoming a reality.
This reminds me of how terrified I am of being buried alive😩😫
Annabelle Mannino Same. My "friends" and me were at this girl's house, and they all thought it would be funny to lock me in a small closet at about two in the morning, which reminded me too much of a casket. Yeah, I'm not friends with them anymore.

I WOULD NOT go checking out an abandoned funeral home. I lived in three, creepy, with creepier stuff moving around houses that were not even remotely close to funeral homes. NOT FUN, especially our family home, which scared me A LOT. After my children were born, we live there for a while until I sold it, and my little son would get scared of the same areas as me when I was a child. I never told him about those areas. I got to the point that when he used the bathroom, I had to stand by the door, knocking constantly so he knew I was there. If I stopped for a minute he would cry out. We moved two thousand miles away from that place. I hope the new owners did not have to figure out why they got such a good deal when they bought it. It was built by my dad's sister, while he was fighting in Korea, so it was not some old spooky house. (Just a new spooky one.)
That was in California?
@@TheStepmonkey No, I lived in California as a kid, (dad was in the Army) that was a non-haunted period of my life.
I live in a funeral home apt. I hate it. I can't wait until I have enough money to move my boys and I. Paranormal is very true here.
I went to a few abandoned funeral homes and the heavy feeling that you get when you walk in is horrible,I felt very uneasy and there was always something touching you or breathing on the back of your neck ,even when your alone (which honesty I don't advise but I've been in alot of places with my German Shepherd Milo because he's my exploring buddy and I bring him everywhere and honestly I think he might enjoy it ,the whole time were in those places his tail is wagging all over the place ) its just creepy...I still love exploring abandoned places with Milo
Sam Rousculp SAGE daily .. worth a shot
7:58 With how expensive funeral costs are people can opt to have their loved ones buried in those boxes. During the wake they use like a staging casket to make it look nice during the viewing and once it's over have them removed from the insanely overpriced casket and laid to rest in something more affordable. (Learned this stuff from ask a mortician.)
Julia Mason Ahh I love her
When my dad passed his wake casket was the same casket he was buried in. They didn’t switch caskets.
Ashley Holland You can opt to have that option is what Julia was saying, which is true. They take a smaller, affordable burial container and place it into a temporary casket just for viewing purposes if the family is strapped for cash.

The coffins @8:26 had bodies in them at some point.
SWEET PEA they were most likely used for a viewing then took the body out to cremate the body and use the casket again
Beans Spoup not sure where you’re from but the majority of funeral homes DO NOT do that. Once a body has been placed in a casket/coffin/tray/urn, and it needs to be removed, it would be destroyed. As well, they would not put a body in a casket for only viewing then remove them for cremation, there are specific caskets/trays for that. Plus, funeral directors and embalmers want to actually move the body as little as possible.
So in short - no, they wouldn’t have put them in a casket for viewing then cremated the person and reused the casket. Those were most likely caskets forgotten and either robbed or the bodies were removed for other reasons (possible damage, rot, leakage or identification factors)
@@tristanrodriguez5796 In this case those where the coffins of the people they removed after the blogger found them
SWEET PEA You are correct. It’s takes months even years to create the imprints on the interior of the casket like that. I was in the funeral business for 25 years and have seen my share of exhumations. The decomposition of the body creates those spots where the body is heaviest. Also why the interior top and material look more deteriorated than the others. It’s our lovely bodies doing their thing after life. ☠️💀

I just really like you vids and blogs.I like how you keep us,informed about history of the places you go and seem like a very caring person. I have my own explores group in Louisville,Kentucky. Would love to explore with you some time. Keep up the good.Rise above.
there’s also an abandoned Sloss Mine around that area as well. it’s the Sloss Mine no. 2. there’s a gear house, graveyard, and the opening to the actual mine. it’s a very beautiful place
so like i just pieced this together in my head, but basically, the nice caskets are what the bodies were in during the funeral, and then the ones you said were cheap were what they were put in and “buried” (sat on a damn shelf) so the caskets were probably used over and over again
Not usually. Caskets are bought by the family, and range in price and u buy what u can afford. Strangely though the cheap wood ones are usually used for cremation. The nice ones were found stored up high with bodies in them in the original video so I guess u bought what u wanted or could afford.
Sometimes caskets are rented for the public funeral, after which (if the body is to be cremated), it is transferred into a cardboard cremation container. The "cheap" caskets are just that ... often being all the family can afford, OR just desiring to be practical and go with an inexpensive container rather than a fancy one, since in either case, the casket will only be seen for a few hours, so why spend $2-3K on it? The low-end caskets are often made of plywood or some form of pressboard or particleboard, then either covered with an inexpensive textured velvet or painted.
every time Josh turns his camera make me sooooo freakin' nervous.
Just started to watch your videos... amazing... big respect to you Josh... 😊🙏🏻...
I wish Josh included more of the history behind the video in the description or at least the state/city. Cleveland Ohio BBY!
Keep exploring! love the videos!
the lighting when you’re telling the backstory of this place is on fleek josh 😂👌
I know the people who found the bodies. Steel City Urbex. Use to be a member. (For like three months 😂) I use to drive past there every Sunday.
I love watching these videos! Mainly because I would be way to scared to even walk down the stairs! Nice job guys!! 😊
