She does! Anytime she’s being affectionate she’s looking or touching Rapunzel’s hair.
if you notice, that first time she doesn't kiss Rapunzel's forehead (like a real mother would), she kissed the hair.
When Gothel is displaying affecting, it’s focused on the hair. When Flynn expresses it, he moves the hair away

My husband took me to see this on my birthday after taking me to a nice restaurant. Little did I know that this movie would mean more to me than most.
After the movie he took me to the park across the street where we not only went to for dates but where he also asked me to be his girlfriend.
He took me to that same spot and knelt down to propose to me.
A train went by just as he opened his mouth and he couldn’t be heard over it. Lol So he just shook his head with a laugh and put the ring on my finger.
As soon as the train passed we heard a woman shout, “I saw everything!! Congratulations!!”
It was an evening I’ll never forget. This movie means a lot to me because of it.

I like how repunzel and Flynn take their relationship slow and don’t rush like almost every other relationship
That scene in the tower, after Eugene sacrificed himself and you hear Rapunzel's lonely voice singing, gets me everytime.
2:16 in the tv show (which is pretty underrated) it goes a lot deeper into the lore and basically it wasn't really from the sun it was this deific power that split (for unknown reasons) into the sundrop and the moonstone. The reason Rapunzel is still able to heal Eugene in the end despite not having her magic hair is because she still has the sundrop within her, the hair was just a conduit for her to easily use the power.
It also explains more about Gothel and why she knew the song. Basically there was this ancient sorceress named Zhan Tiri and this ancient inventor named Lord Demanitis who worked together to compile legends and do research into both the Sundrop and the Moonstone. Zhan Tiri went crazy and became obsessed with taking both for selfish gain, and she managed to convince three people that worked for Demanitis to work for her instead. Eventually, Demanitis took down Zhan Tiri and tracked down the three that had turned. One he trapped, one I don't know what happened (I think that one was taken down in the same way as Zhan Tiri) and the last one got away. This one was (You guessed it) Gothel. She used the research her two masters had compiled to utilize the flower and use it to keep herself young, until the flower was taken so the queen would survive. Then the Sundrop (what gave the flower its power) moved to Rapunzel instead.

Wanna know something super sweet, so when ever gothel tells rapunzel she loves her she looking at or touching her hair, but if you notice.... Eugene is always brushing Rapunzel's hair out of her face cause he wants to love her for her and not her hair😭😭😭 it's so sweet!!!!
As many people on here have already done, I really suggest the Tangled Series. Beautiful animation, great in-depth character development (even for side characters), AMAZING songs (many additions to the cast are Broadway actors and actresses), providing lore (explaining how the Sundrop came to be, and so many other things)
After I saw Tangled for the first time, when I was four, I decided I want to become Rapunzel. I’m 15 now and my hair is over a metre long… I’m dedicated, never had a haircut (apart from dead ends ofc)

If he'd let Rapunzel heal him, her promise to Gothel would've still stood. There's nothing to say that Gothel wouldn't have imprisoned her out of spite or kept trying to find a way to draw out the flowers magic without her hair. I get the complaint, but ultimately he decided not to risk Rapunzel's future for anything, even if it killed him.

It’s just that, the songs in Tangle are soooooo good!! They are so memorable and I can’t help but sing along whenever I watch the film.
Also, the movie is just so beautiful!! The plot is incredible, the script is phenomenal and.. gosh.. everything about it is just so amazing. I agree with you so much, I’d also give this an 11 out of 10

There is also a tv movie, Tangled: Before ever after and 3 season tv show, Tangled: the series, all on Disney plus. They take place before the short where they get married. It's amazing and the music is soooo good 😊☀️
I also love Tangled as much as you do and it's still in one of my Top 5 favorite Disney Animated films. I just enjoy everything about this film from the story, to its characters and music, plus the voice cast from Mandy Moore as Rapunzel, Zachary Levi as Flynn Rider/Eugene Fitzherbert and Donna Murphy as Mother Gothel.
There's also a television series based on Tangled called _Tangled the Series/Rapunzel's Tangled Adventure_ that continues the story after the events of the movie, so you should react to it sometime once you get the chance.
Hope you react to the following Disney Animated films once you get the chance: _Frozen, Zootopia, Moana, Raya and the Last Dragon, The Little Mermaid, Mulan, Aladdin, Lilo & Stitch, The Princess and the Frog,_ and _Beauty and the Beast_

When this movie came out I dont know why but i went and saw it in the THEATER... I had never heard "I see the light" knew nothing about the story.. except it was RAPUNZEL.. during that scene.. they had the movie speakers turned up loud and when that scene came on.. the MUSIC was so loud and just FILLED THE THEATER .. I WAS LIKE I AM A BIG FAT HAIRY OVER 30 man and I CRIED.. CRIED LIKE A BABY.. IT WAS SOOO BEAUTIFUL... NEVER FORGET THAT>>
It's such a great movie! It resides in my top 3 Disney princess films as well (Beauty and the Beast and Moana are the other two). The animation is top notch.. I believe it was the last Disney movie that Glen Keane (legend) was animation sup for. ^_^ The story is fantastic... far superior to Frozen. :-D
I actually prefer Tangled over Frozen mainly for the story because with Tangled you got to have more development between Rapunzel and Eugene and the pacing was just right, while Frozen's story (upon watching it the 2nd time) it was rushed and it seems to jump from one thing to another and another every 3-5 minutes.
When you said "what if the Queen is like 'not another one' and kicks her out" I got Anastasia flashbacks haha

Apparently, Disney got a group of female staff members in a room together to come up with Eugene’s design. This group was called “The Hot Guy Committee”
Love this film too. Its my favourite. Another one of my favourites is Enchanted,Cinderella (1997 /2015),Aladdin (1992/2019) and The Lion King(1994).
There are nothing but good songs in this movie but honestly if I had to pick a favorite it would probably be the one on Rapunzel's 18th birthday when they're watching the lanterns from the little boat at last I see the light and it's like the fog is lifted

I turned 60 this year, but I still get tears in my eyes when I hear 'I See The Light' and watch the sequence unfold. For me, this movie is perfect cinema, and more of what audiences really want from movies, not the drivel Disney have been spewing for the last few years since Encanto.

Hey Angelina! Nice to see your love of Tangled, it's one of my favorite Disney movies, too! As for suggestions, I'd highly recommend "Wolfwalkers" and "Song of the Sea" by Cartoon Saloon, they're both beautifully done, story, animation and character wise, and they do a great job with visual story telling, too, like you were talking about in the moment with Rapunzel and Eugene, in the tower, with the colouring/lighting and such :)
The reason why Mother Gothel sings Mother knows best and said to Rapunzel that she can't fall in love, it is because she was once a princess who got cheated on and never listened to her own mother , Gothel is actually Megara from 'Hercules' 😮😮😮😮

Yeah Mandy Moore and Zachary Levi. Rapunzel is similar to Mandy as both walk barefoot and they started off as blondes before transforming their hair to brown(although Mandy is back as a blonde again).

My only personal complaint about the movie is that they didn't make Gothel a witch. I just think it would've been cool if they made her this magical witch who only had certain amounts of magic but can't do the main thing she wants which is to stay young. Like her powers could be telekinesis and Chlorokinesis which is the ability to conjure and control plants. (Except when it comes to the magic flower.) I also wish they explained more on how Rapunzel's tear healed Eugene. Like is it a new thing? Something she always could do? A one time thing? I know there's a sequel movie and series but I don't think they explain it in those.
If they ever make a live action version of this movie they have to cast Zayn Malik as Flynn Ryder

Rapunzel’s tower was built before king Fredrick (rapunzels dad) came to rule. It was supposed to be used as a secret hideout in case of emergencies but when the war ended between corona and another kingdom, it was forgotten. This was when corona was newly founded. So her tower must’ve been built a couple hundred years before rapunzel ever lived in there. Gothel found the tower when she first stole rapunzel and abandoned her old home in the woods to stay with rapunzel. So the tower does a have an interesting backstory. And let’s just say the tower aged with beauty and grace.
This is literally my guilty pleasure movie and possibly my favorite Disney film alongside Lion King
I know you guys think Eugene could’ve let Rapunzel heal him, but to be honest I’m pretty sure that right after Rapunzel heals him, he’ll be chained to the wall and can’t reach her to cut her hair (in time.) Besides isn’t he already gonna die of starvation?

late to the party but I think your 3 faves are: Tangled (of course), Frozen, and Mulan
so you know, I'm 57 yrs old (male, just in case) and have been watching and loving Disney Animated movies all my life.
Tangled (which I've seen like 100 times already) is my 3th favorite after #1 The Lion King, and #2 Lilo and Stitch (biggest Stich fan here).
