I was born in Trinidad and Tobago but now I live in Stavanger, Norway but for summer this year I’m in Trinidad. And I flew also on 777-200 and I flew on a direct flight from London or LGW. And finally someone has made a trip report in Trinidad 🎉
Im 14 and I've never been on a plane. So i cant wait to go to London soon on ba. I watch videos on it every time😅. Im obsessed. Also Emirates 😂😊❤❤
A unique route you took, great video as always.
they do a few routes like this in the Carribbean. Another one is flying from Gatwick to Aruba via Antigua.
An interesting yet intriguing video. Who’s else wants to fly to st Lucia?
Finally, my home country St.Lucia 🇱🇨 is being featured.
Catering out of Port of Spain is superb. The dinner tray is overflowing with stuff
An out-of-the-ordinary video, thank you. I've done a number of these two-sector flights with BA, to and from the Windies. On one, I was the only passenger in the rear cabin of a 777! How resentful I was at having paid extra for an exit seat. BA's breakfasts often disappoint, flying back to the UK from the region.
Always look at the seat map to see what seats are taken. You get a pretty good idea when most are empty
I remember flying to Orlando with British Airways, and they served a mushroom and chicken wrap with cheese, like how random and I know this isn't breakfast it was a pre landing snack but still
Did this flight May 2024, returning home just a few days ago as of watching your video, the wifi is only free to first class passengers, and B.A. did sell POS-UVF flights on its POS-LGW...my flight was direct to LGW, they no longer do the UVF stopover.....i believe as of this year. I was quite pleased with my flight, customer service, food and beverage, seat legroom/comfort etc. ❤😊😊
So happy to see my country Trinidad &Tobago. Great review yet again.
Was just thinking about a trip report from British airways today! Amazing timing haha. Love it!
Truly a thorough, comprehensive trip report with good detail on the important aspects, exactly what I was looking for 👏🏼👏🏼
Lovely video. Hope you enjoyed your stay in our beautiful island🇹🇹
Hope you enjoyed Trinidad. Also BA has now commenced a direct service to LGW instead of a stop over.
These 2 stage flights are a bum ache. I did tobago in May and that went via St Lucia. Over 10 hours on the aircraft. A killer !
Glad to see BA has updated the cabin of these old 777s to keep them going. I flew on it a couple times with the super old economy cabin back in 2018 and it was terrible
I was on Flightradar24 yesterday and saw this flight with the exact route on a 777 with British airways, so I might of just tracked a flight that i didn’t know that Felix was on
old equipment with nice modern interior ,nice ride
Awesome✈trip report there Felix, that dinner looked pretty good all-in-all but that breakfast.,i think B.A still need to up their game with some improvements on their behalf.
i can't miss any Simply Aviation video! also the fact that you flew on a 777 that is 24 years old is amazing isn't it?
Is it?
nice video Felix
Before on BA you would have received two full meal services with the British breakfast always supplied. For a 10hr flight it should be two meals not a yoghurt and a croissant. That seems a bit stingy.
Well it more of a 7 hour to 8 hours
A small correction. Passengers were allowed to book flights between POS and UVF at the time of your video. However they've since switched to non-stop service between POS and LGW.
I'll be going to England this year... For summer I'll go, it's a non-stop flight on BA and of course I'm Trinidadian 😁
14:13 So cool seeing my hometown of Southampton from the air! 😁
Babe wake up, new trip report dropped😍
I have never travelled before, glad to experience this.
Great to see British Airways videos.
So glad BA have refurbished this airplane. I travelled on it when it was only a couple of months old from Gatwick to Tobago in economy. I was horrified that on a new 777 it was configured in a charter mode with only 29" leg room and narrow seats. There was no ventilation and the cabin temperature made us both sweat at LGW in the winter!!
That is because they place their worst product in the Caribbean and Africa and parts of Asia.
Also, their over product and services across the board is sub-par. Caribbean Airlines COULD have taken advantage of this but Trinidadians are not like how they once were back in the 80s and 90s.
I flew from LGW to CUN and vice versa on BA b777-200er. It was actually quite nice, the food was great! 2 hot meals in every fight and the food quality was great! The entertainment system is quite decent as well.
Nice video. I don’t think I’ve ever seen a British airways wing that was not so dirty 🤦🏾♂️
I flew on G-VIIJ a while back, a plane only a year older but still equipped with the old cabin...let's just say I wasn't exactly comfortable in there🫠
9:11 BA used to sell tickets from POS-UVF and UVF-POS. So what used to happen is passengers for St. Lucia would disembark at this point. I took this flight several times.
Nice video. I used this particular route with BA pretty regularly pre-COVID (5 or 6 return flights per year between POS and the UAE via Gatwick and Heathrow). Happy for the direct route now. Will be on this flight to the UK come September.
YES! FINALLY A VIDEO WITH GATWICK MY HOME AIRPORT!
Nice one Felix, I always have loved BA.
Amazing video, would love to see a trip report to Tobago
Cool video you the best
Excellent trip report Felix!😸
Superb video ...thank you so much...❤️❤️❤️❤️😍😍😍👍👍
Although I’m not Trinidadian, I am of West Indian heritage, so I was reading the narration with a Trini accent.
I most be one of the few that like the design of the old business class seats of BA well I under traveling alone those would be a bit awkward but traveling with a partner would be fun
Lovely information pal, thanks for sharing . Hope u did had great flight . Didn’t know BA stop then Trinidad
Oh I wish this channel could have 1M subs for these INSANE videos...😊
Thank you so very much im traveling from pos to gatwick next week direct flight tho
The food service on BA is truly phenomenal. I still remember the awesome lunch they used to serve on flights from London to Phoenix (BA289).
Thank you for another great video ❤
Great vid! Love BA's obscure services. Third?
I’d do anything to get on a plane again. The last time I flew, it was in a helicopter over Quadra Island (an island off the west coast of Canada) which was fun but I wanna fly in an airplane again
BA does sell POS-UVF tickets. My sister flies BA from POS to visit our parents in Saint Lucia.
Thanks for coming to trinidad 🇹🇹 🙌
Im amazed by the 777s' strobes.
Great video. Unfortunately the 3-4-3 configuration on the 777 is a bit too dense for my liking. Flew it recently and my elbows and feet were touching my neighbours..
Mostly not a problem with flights flying passengers who mostly are smaller in average than most of you in the west.
@@jirehla-ab1671Yh I’m 6”3 and I can fit very well
It reminds me of Elite Investigators : The Great Treasure Hunt, especially the part when the gang flies from Paris to Martinique with Air France (flights AF842 & AF841 on B777-300ER)
Great video.
awesome video....greetings from St. Kitts in the Caribbean !!!
Nice one i was living sxm for long time hang out marseno from sxm watching airplanes spot maho Beach
14:15 can see my hometown :)
I’m looking forward going to St Lucia in July with BA
Lovely video
Very nice
Pls do a BA cityflyer brutally honest review from lcy to pmi
i love it
Hi Felix! It was a fantastic video, and a great trip indeed! Welcome to the United Kingdom! :D
Funny I’m at the airport right now and the song that was playing at 1:55 is playing here also lol
You should ask to see the cockpit after every flight you do 😊 will be fun
British Airways do direct flights to the Port of Spain now
perfect
I'm going to trinidad tomorow on this exact airplane and airline
Like that Land Ho.
Although Boeing 777X is not delivered yet, I still look forward for it😊
Going to be bit of a wait I think
That was a good cast. All the nitty gritty of a leeward islands trangle service. BA have a few of those. The only route that is direct from thst region is Kingston and Montego Bay.
POS has been direct since march
Good video. Didn't see any sniffer dogs man!
@Simply Aviation what’s your flight after this?
OMGGGG my nation 🇹🇹
Unique 🎉
Been on that flight twice to trinidad and back uk 2nd time the polit slammed it down at St Lucia I got the chance to go in to the cockpit when we arrived in trinidad 🇹🇹
14:33 hoping they would clean those flaps after landing lol
Airlines have been like that for years. Some do clean them and usually the whole plane is like that. Spotless
For economy that was a really dinner☆☆
Hello From UK
Please try the LGW-ANU-SKB!
Come on Felix, enough of the silent treatment.😁
Thank you for this video can you also do KLM. POS to AMS
Great flight, I don't know this flight is considered as Fifth freedom or not, since between Port of Spain and Vieux Fort, BA didn't sell ticket, but picking new passenger grom Vieux Port to London.
Yes, a fifth freedom flight was possible on this route - you were able to book flights between POS and St. Lucia on this schedule (and for a bit cheaper than the alternatives at the time). Now the route is a direct flight between POS and LGW.
❤
Was there any plug sockets at you seat or just USB? Thanks
Quite a fun route! I'm curious as to why BA don't sell tickets between Port of Spain and St. Lucia... Maybe some regulatory concerns.
Local airline in the carribean they do domestic flights islands
They did! But right now the route is no longer existent, they now have direct flights to LGW from POS.
BA stopped the POS-UVF (St. Lucia) route at the end of March. Trinidad use to have 5 flights weekly but now it has been cut to 3 direct flights weekly. BA now flies from UVF (St. Lucia) to Guyana (Mondays & Thursdays) and Tobago (Tuesdays & Fridays) since dropping the Trinidad route and Grenada gained an extra day (Wednesdays, Saturdays & Sundays)
They blew the food budget on dinner lol
Damn that's interesting!although I have to ask why does it end at Gatwick?
Gatwick is cheaper for the airlines to operate out of in terms of gate prices. Also, LHR can be slot constrained, so the premium markets get LHR, second tier gets LGW, mostly.
I want you guys to try akasa air here in india and I request you guys to fly Doha - Nagpur route by Qatar airways which is very underrated and unique! Please visit nagpur once!
I could have seen you but then I realised it was in June 2022 as I flew out of LGW yesterday
I'd stay in St Lucia.
I don't know that some airlines allow passengers who are staying for the continue flight can stay on the plane . Last time I took a Cathay Pacific flight from Hong Kong to Taipei then continue heading to Osaka. but they treated us as usual transferring passengers which means we have to leave the plane to do security check then go back to the plane. (it's the same plane )
I hope you get 1m followers by the end of the year :D
Grenada😢 airport good landing
😊
I flew on this BA aircraft type to Barbados last year. I really wasn't impressed! No charging points, IFE wasn't working for half the passengers! Luckily mine was working. The food was dreadful and so was the wooden cutlery. The cabin crew service was mediocre to say the least.
Hi can you do Air Algerie from Lhr - Alg please
You flew from my country trinidad
I watched the video just now at the same date.
10 across seating!
Does anyone know the output wattage on the usb a and type c? A look online says 75w each seat but need to know.
i thought recaro only makes car seats
yoo i went on the same route but i went 4 years ago
