Hello! I am a perpetual learner from Wisconsin. I love learning new things and I loved this demo! At age 81 I don't let a day pass without learning something to add to my watercolor paintings. I just stumbled on this program and definitely will add it to my new ideas and methods to try. Thanks for sharing your talents!
madam, you are an inspiration!
Hi, Ravishanker from Bangalore,India and am enjoying it .............
Me, too, Marsha. And I am 85.!
@@thorsten2068 ⅞55555545w😊
I’m also from Wisconsin, may I ask which city?
My sister from another mother! I'm a 5 ft tall 66 year old construction worker, retired owner of salons, taking commissions in art since a child, retired for the second time to check off one last thing....being a full time artist. When I'm not enjoying reading and learning art....being a chronic do it yourselfer, I tell people I am literally in Joan's art school) and learning for the first time good use of the word no. I used to never so "no I can't". Now I just so no to all those good and bad diversions. Thanks to people like Eric and Cindy, we can be in our own school.
Sister from another Mister. Lol 😊
Eric this is a treasure! Cindy is showing us different techniques that I have never seen before and the results are fascinatingly beautiful 😍. The layering is so perfect.
Dear Eric Rhoades, thankyou for the magnificent display of the comprehensive and blended techniques of the real time landscape works of Cindy Baron. EVERY MINUTE WAS AMAZING !
Transformative! Loved Cindy's demo!
Was fortunate to have known Nita and taken classes from her. She has a great book which you should still be able to purchase "How To Make A Watercolor Paint Itself". Something to have and compare with Cindy's technique.
Thank you Cindy. What a wonderful method of painting watercolour.I can't wait to have a go.I've learnt so much. Also thanks to Eric for showing all these great artists.I was so lucky when I came across your channel.
Unusual find! Beautiful and gentle work! Thanks! ~
I love this technique and can’t get enough of watching Cindy’s process! Would love more videos Cindy!
It’s been a big effort during my stage for cancer where I have neuropathy in my hands and feet and holding a brushes next to impossible, but I’m trying I’d sure like to win a prize from the Belton Missouri, which is a suburb of Kansas City. Wish you all the best keep these videos, thank you
Thank you for bring Cindy Baron to the small screen to perform a demo for us! I love her oil landscapes, had no idea what she was doing in watercolours, too! I used to start my florals like that, wet-in-wet...but this video may have put enough fire under me to put away my oils for the time being and drag out all my watercolour stuff again! Thanx for the inspiration!
It’s 9.38 am here in Perth, Western Australia … this is great work !! Thank you Cindy and Eric ..
Thank you so much for opening my eyes to a new way of watercolor painting. I am 94 years old have painted for over 50 years and this is a thrill to see. Thank you so much for my wonderful afternoon with you.
I'm 71 and I'm from Utah. Just starting to get into watercolor. I'm excited to learn some techniques and information from Cindy and from this program. Thank you for sharing your time and talents! I love watching your videos!
EXCELLENT demo!! I've never seen watercolors handled in this very dynamic way..THANK YOU CINDY!!
Thank you for sharing your technique of layers. Spray water ,spatter paint , tilt and let paint run then dry four times. Details with brushes and colors. Flow go with it watercoloring to grow with it! This way of painting adds exciting fun with water and paint to each individuals painting. Love it Cindy! Thank you
Absolutely magical just love her technique ❤ hello from Ontario Canada
Cindy's painting takes my breath away! I've been seeking this painting result for sooo long! So inspiring to see exactly how to arrive at this! Thank you so much. (From Israel)
Absolutely digging this. Duds do work. Amazing Cindy. You are a gift. And thank you for bringing this to us.
The subtleties you get by layering the first washes is magical! I love the palette she built for herself. I would add quinacridone gold, indigo, and m.Graham Sepia. I love white gauche as well. And or white pastels.
Awesome. What a great way to paint . I love it. Thank you. Lovely.
Thank you Eric and especially Cindy for your presentation today. What an inspiration it was for me to see you play with all the colors in different layers. I never dreamt that you could mix colors that well on paper. As a struggling artist I have many “duds“ and now I’m able to see that they have some value. That is something I never thought about until now thank you so much!
It is the feeling I am getting with this 4th layer. Like I can jump off and fly through the sky from front to way back. And I have occasional flying dreams like I m a plane or bird . Very spiritual. I've never felt this from a watercolor before. Now I'm loving the details and line. Thanks for sharing.
I’m amazed at such control - I would be covered! Cindy is an inspiration.
What a wonderful lesson, thank you Cindy. I am inspired to try painting this way.
It’s like a darn miracle how it just magically (with talent and practice, obviously!) turns out so perfectly!!! ITS BEAUTIFUL!!!!!
Very interesting
A year too late but I'm so pleased to have found this.
Watching from Sweden 🇸🇪 and probably going to be up all night painting. Luckily I'm old and have lots of time and no commitments 😂
Thanks 😊 a lot!
Cindy has been the most influential and generous teachers that I’ve had the pleasure of experiencing.
From Placitas New Mexico and after many years of painting in watercolor I learn something new and thank you for your help
How in the world do you not get paint all over you. thats an art in itself.
Wonderful…can’t wait to try this technique. Am from Texas, new to painting…first year….and just discovered this channel. Will be watching more! Thank you!
Ithaca NY
Nita Engle is my absolute hero. I knew as soon as you started. Thanks so much for using her as your mentor. You do her justice
I am enjoying your videos tremendously! Thank you so much!
Love this method! Beautiful blending! Layering magic.
When the colors blend in watercolor I get so excited as well. Glad I am not the only one that feels that way. It is probably one of the reasons I paint in watercolor. I will be trying this technique very soon!
Absolutely beautiful work. I love your layering technique and the freshness of colors. Amazing!!!
Hello from Ontario. Loved this demonstration… it was inspiring and exciting!
This is fantastic! Can’t wait to play. Thank you Cindy and Eric
I really enjoy her style and the light and shadow that it creates along with the blending of the different layers.
Thank you for the videos, writing’s and blogs! Truly appreciate how you pull others into the art world and encourage to keep seeing studying and pouring out ! Thank you
LORETTA - As a Cherokee {EBCI}, my playground was The Great Smoky Mountains behind my house. It was Rattlesnake Mountain but I always felt safe. I love everything in Cindy's painting and what she is teaching us! Thank you Eric, and also for your doing this for everyone! I loved the way she uses different mediums; she is so honest and encouraging to everyone...especially about her duds!
That is a great story
Duds are good? Okay makes me feel better
Good lesson thank you. Well done for attributing the goddess of watercolour Nita Engle RIP. I highly recommend her book- How to make watercolour paint itself.
Wonderful, thank you
Just thrilled to see a particular way to get watercolors vibrant and missing technique, addressing paper weight, light source, all the things Cindy is speaking of. Hello from South Carolina. Oh, here "comes the wild part,"Cindy says. Cool! Thank you both!
Bless your heart! This is absolutely beautiful! Love your explanations! 💗
So inspiring! As a printmaker (in love with watercolors) who's worked with layering color a lot this technique is very appealing. Leaving those layers undisturbed makes it a lot easier to avoid making mud. Definitely going to experiment with incorporating it into my work. Thanks to you both for your generosity! It's a wonderful gift. Merry Christmas!
Letting colours blend themselves always produces lovely results!
mesmerizing! I also love Nita Engle's work. Can't wait to see the finished painting.
Love her technique! And her work is lovely! Thanks again.
Wow that was fantastic with Cindy Baron, love the layers & her way of mixing on the Arches paper. Wow wow wow thank you. So grateful to you all.
Cindy - you are teaching me a lot!!! It is so inspiring to watch you.
Loved Cindi’s layers
Still great and learning sooo much. Thanks
I would just like to thank you Cindy and Eric as well, I truly appreciate this channel and also all of Cindy's instructions, I had a go and was very happy with the outcome which I posted on my Instagram and tagged you both and will study this technique much more. Thank you both so much and keep up all your outstanding works both of you
I love Nita Engel and now I love Cindy Baron! Thanks for showing your technique to us. I will be incorporating it into my work.
I loved, loved Cindy Baron's landscape techniques. Cindy, you inspired me to go out and start painting again.. Thank you so much.
I have to tell you. Your techniques are amazing I tried them out immediately I couldn't believe the difference in my painting the light was amazing😮and making some of the colors opaque at the end was life-changing seriously. Thank you so much for this demonstration.
What an inspiring demonstration/lesson. I am still feel I am a beginner using water colors, but this layering really makes sense to me and I am anxious to try it now. Whidbey Island, WA has some gorgeous ‘land’ and a terrific community of artists if you decide a bigger move is in your plans. Stay well, and thank you!
Thank you both! I am inspired to try watercolors again!
So inspiring! Love this technique and thank you for sharing!!
Wow! Just incredibly amazing Artist! Cindy has inspired me to try watercolor now! I work in pastel and love it, but this video has truly sparked inspiration to try something new! Thank you Cindy and Eric!
I invite folks here to check out what I'm developing on my channel. I hope to do more demos of my own!
Wow! I just happened upon this video and I feel fortunate that I did! I learned so much! Cindy did an amazing job of conveying her unique technique and I'm hoping I'm brave enough to try it! We all got the mistake pile and I think I've just found a new way to use my pile! Thank you!
I truly enjoyed this whole episode. She is a delight to watch and listen to. Thank you for sharing so much of your talent.
Wonderful lesson for a senior starting to paint again - thanks Cindy for explaining the art of glazing
I’ve been a watercolor artist, all my life with a 13 year space with a death of my husband, and now I’m back painting again and doing research to get my skill level back up really enjoyed your way of working with watercolor. It was an eye-opening experience as you said, in the video you take a piece from this one and a piece from that one and learn from it all and make it fit in your space wonderful thank you so much for the video.
Watching Cindy's watercolor...incredible technic....love it !
This is so beautiful! Wonderful learning experience. Thank you.
Thank you Cindy for an inspiring video and for helping to assuage my guilt of using white acrylic! I still have my old art teacher’s voice in my ear saying “No white paint!”.

Very interesting ,very enjoyable from Southwest Louisiana
Love your positive thoughts, art is so very helpful!!
Greetings from Arizona! Thank you for your program. I’ve been a realist watercolor artist for almost 35 years, I’m self taught. My first love was oil painting. Switching back in the 80’s to acrylics a a couple of years because of my growing family. On a very frustrating day after dealing with 3 very rambunctious little boys I had picked up a set of Windsor & Newton artist’s quality paint set that I had received many years prior from my dad. I was in my late teens when I had received them. They had been stored over 10 years and to my surprise they were intact! My first piece of watercolor artwork turned out beautifully. It took me a long time to meticulously apply sheer layers on top of layers of watercolor. I still get offers to purchase this painting. My youngest son is in his mid thirty’s now. I have never gone back to any other medium. I have been debating the possibly painting with gouache. No too sure.
So very inspiring! You really opened my eyes to a new way of life! Your work is so beautiful! I love your layers to add depth!
Ohmygoodness!! I enjoyed this so much!👏🏻👏🏻👏🏻
Watched today from Sacramento. Love her techniques.
Hi from Yuma, Az. I Enjoy these lessons. I just found you all. Watercolor is THE best!
Wonderful presentation! Enjoyed so much.
I love how Cindy Baron starts her water color painting with layering colors in line with the direction of light and maintaining that idea throughout her painting. Cindy's creative process of experimenting with her duds, as she calls them, reveals new pathways and techniques that give her paintings depth and vibrancy that is so inspirational! I have learned alot in this short video clip.
Thank you so much for sharing freely these world class Artist that have so much to offer for beginners as well as seasoned artists.
Your humility with modesty in these videos has certainly added to your passion for painting and has made you a master artist that inspires me.
Thank you 😊
Sincerely
