Spanish Police 'Rescue' 51-Year-Old British Hiker While Searching For Jay Slater

- Spanish police are examining CCTV footage from a local town on the island of Tenerife near where British teenager Jay Slater disappeared.
The 19-year-old went missing on June 17 and his phone was last traced to the Masca ravine in a remote national park on the Canary Islands archipelago.
Dozens of police officers, rescue teams and fire fighters have been searching since Wednesday in the steep valley located on the island's west coast, using dogs, drones and a helicopter.

Some rock and surfaces retain high temps day and night(even in the UK) This can through up a false image on a thermal and resulting in the misoer being missed.. As to Night vision that doesn't work the same as FLIR/Thermal systems... IR/Night vision is just a spectrum of light that can be picked up vai the right kit so if the misper is behind a bush you still would only see a bush.

People do get lost in that natural park all the time. I saw the other day a video of a true crime youtuber who's from Tenerife and he explained he hikes a lot in that area and even he got desoriented once and it took him a few hours to figure out how to get to the closest town. In all these Jay Slater videos they are not showing the forested part of that area, which is way denser than what one would expect.
My guess is the police knew via a 3rd party that the car had not moved that morning.

It appears there are other people who are missing, over the years, from this island. No offence intended but the Brit police if they are allowed to get involved, need to check on how many others have gone missing over the past decade, then they want to pull in this latest 51 year old hiker and question him and other known experienced hikers who know this terrain. Has he being there for some time or has he turned up after the disappearance? Also, how often does he visit the island.
