ICE CREAM ICE CREAM, THE ICE CREAM TRUCK IS COMING ! ! ! I GOT SOME IIIIICE CREAM......
What a rig, the attention to detail is admirable. I bash mine way too much but I am now inspried good sir!
Nice rig! How do you like the Samba exhaust? I’ve been thinking about picking one up... cannot find any on-line?
The Samba pipe is awesome. The exhaust note is quite throaty and has power from the low through mid range. I got mine via ebay so you might want to try there to see if they are available.
@@fiifiward Awesome! Thank you! 🤙🏽
Something aint right
You have to forgive me, i got excited because someone was having the same problem I had. I watched your entire video and saw the end. To fix the spontaneous start activation with steering and reverse. You have to do a little rewiring so that the only from the starter esc is the white control wire. Connect your receiver battery back to your receiver. Then on the starter esc receiver harness plug remove the black and red wire so theres only a white control wire connected to your receiver that way there is no battery back-feed to the receiver. Safe off the ends of the black and red wire you removed. I did not use the kill switch that came with the starter kit. I kept the factory one. My email address is my neme here plus gmail.com. Ill send you some pictures of what i did
I returned mine back to the seller off eBay. I ain't messing with that setup no more as I think it was poorly designed.
Good luck. I bought the FID brushless starter and mine do the same thing. I pulled the starter unit and put it on a bench to see if it was an electrical problem. I had no problem getting the starter to activate when I hit my 3rd channel. In my case I loosened the screws that hold the starter to the engine and that seemed to help some. I’m still working on a fix, i just haven’t had time to finish. I bought an 80 amp esc off ebay. When i get it installed ill let you know what happens. Just fyi, when the starter works the engine starts immediately.
My apologies for the delayed response brother, it totally escaped me.
Regarding the electric starter, I uninstalled the butterfly mechanism that grab onto the flywheel and noticed metal shaving deposits inside the casing. The shavings were so much it couldn't make contact anymore and as a result the reason you hear the motor spin but the flywheel barely move. As a result I returned it.
I think it's a poorly designed product and that's why not many people have it or bought into it.
Are you using the dual-servo steering setup from the original 5t ? Does it fit in the 2.0?
Yes I am using the dual steering setup designed for the first generation 5T.
@@fiifiward Thanks - and you didn't have to dremel or modify anything to get it to fit on the 2.0?
The only modification was to trim the side skirt a bit as the radio tray extends a few inches to the rear.
You've definitely not got the connection right because the starter shouldn't operate when you turn the steering or pull the trigger to accelerate or push the trigger to break
How do you know I had the connection wrong? I tested the signal from the channel the bec was plugged into with a servo and the servo did not activate with the squeeze of the throttle, brake nor steering.
@@fiifiward when you was squeezing the throttle the starter was operating and the same when you turned the wheel fir the steering which it shouldn't be it should only operate when you press the button on the transmitter
What was the issue? Maybe two power sources coming into one receiver? Such as power to your standard electronics then is the 2s lipo powered on it designated circuit for motor turn only or set up with the esc that powers brushless motor connecting it to the receiver which already powered up? Hard to explain writing it 😬 nice rig what light bar you running a primal Rc?
